Customers enjoy the SoundSport Free True Wireless Headphones for their excellent sound quality, comfortable fit, and long battery life. The charging case is also well-received for its convenience. However, some users have experienced connectivity issues, find the design to be bulky, and feel that the price is not justified by the product's performance.

    Best true wireless I’ve tried

My first experience with true wireless earbuds was the Jabra Elite Active 65t, which many online sites list as the best on the market. Maybe it’s just me, but they were extraordinarily uncomfortable and would not stay in my ears. The sound wasn’t good, either, perhaps because I couldn’t get a solid seal. So they hurt, fell out and didn’t sound good. I have since tried others, including the Jaybird Run, the Jabra Elite Sport and the Sony WF-1000x. Two of them dropped Bluetooth more often than not. The third (the Jabras) was as problematic as its cousins, and the fitness app was annoying. Finally I tried the Bose SoundSport Free because they were on sale for $149. I didn’t have to change tips or anything. From the moment I took them out of the box, they fit my ears comfortably and securely. I could do a gymnastics routine (if I were 16 and female) and they wouldn’t fall out. The sound is excellent. They’re not noise-cancelling, which I think is a plus, but the seal is good enough to provide innate sound isolation. I don’t have to jack the volume all the way up, and the sound mix is good — not as bassy as Beats (which my wife uses) but more balanced. Somehow the audio is full. The only place I’ve had connection issues is at my gym. I used the treadmill right next to a metal structural support beam, and the left earbud dropped out repeatedly for a second or two at a time. I think it was because of that steel pole. Otherwise, I’ve had no problems. Still, that happened, which is why I’m giving these only four stars. They do stick out a lot farther than most true wireless earbuds. Aesthetically that doesn’t bother me (I have the blue and yellow ones). The only way in which it’s a nuisance is in bed. As a side sleeper, I can’t fall asleep with these in my ears. Those are minor issues, though. I should probably mention the battery. Five hour charge, plus two or three re-ups in the included charging case. I’ve never used them long enough for the battery to die. An advantage this charging case has over others (looking at you, Jabra) is that it’s magnetized, so the buds just drop in and are immediately in the right place to get charged. In my opinion, these are the best premium true wireless earbuds on the market — best sounding, best fitting, best everything. I like ‘em so much I ordered a second pair in black. They should arrive next week.

This are fantastic Not only are they great for walking or exercising, but I use them for when I am gardening. I connect it to my ipad and play my music or listen to a book, while planting. They are very comfortable and the sound it great. I love when they let me know that the battery is running low.

These are great sounding for truly wireless headphones. They fit snuggly in my ear, but they did come with two other sized buds (one larger, one smaller). I took a star off due to the steep price, but I do not regret the purchase.

it's a very sturdy, folding-flap box with molded compartments. The medium ear molds fit me securely (also come with small and large) and the earbuds themselves are pretty lightweight. The SSFs themselves sound amazing. The bass is good without being overbearing, The case has an unexpected added feature of being able to recharge the headphones. Sound quality is much better than the following that i bought and then returned due to poor sound quality (no bass) 1) JLab Audio - Epic Sport Wireless In-Ear Headphones 2) Beats by Dr. Dre - Powerbeats³ Wireless - Black

I bought these headphones for the gym. I love that they stay in place and do not bug my ears within a couple hours of wearing them. Only thing I did notice, I have an Android phone and the volume does not go as high in them as they do with an iPhone. I thought that was a bummer, as I like my music loud. At the gym I can sometimes hear the gym music over these. I tried with an iPhone, and they are significantly louder with more noticeable bass. Either way, great sound quality and very clear.

These headphones are definitely worth the purchase! After going through many pairs of wireless headphones, these are by far the best with regards to having the longest battery life and being the most comfortable and the sound quality is everything you expect Bose headphones to sound like.

What I like: Incredible full sound. Feel comfortable in the ears. Easy to setup and use. What I don't like: A bit pricy. Random dropouts in left ear for blue tooth connection. This is usually associated with me turning my head to the left or right. Interesting though, in that case i have my phone (music source) in my pocket. On the other hand, i am able to leave the phone on the second floor and walk around the entire house and get solid pairing even while turning my head.

For such a comfortable headphone that still gives you plenty of ambient environment sounds, these things sound amazing. These sound better with more base than the wired Bose headphones with the same style ear pieces. They stay connected to my Apple Watch too! My old Jabra Runs would drop all the time, even with the new firmware. The Bose also sound better, have more base and are more comfortable. I had even upgraded the Jabra earbuds with the Comply foams.

    The best wireless earphones

These were my first earbuds I’ve enjoyed with my phone outside of the stock Apple earbuds that come with the device. I have purchased and returned Jaybirds, Beats, and AirPods because I felt none of them were worthy of the investment. These sound great, are comfy in the ears, and rarely fall out. The battery life and connectivity are also excellent. I purchased these earphones at 199 on sale and at that price point I find them well worth it. Wait for a sale from 249 and then snatch these up.

    Good headphones but with drawbacks

These headphones have the Bose sound quality, which is excellent. They are good for listening to music while working out. The headphones stay in place and are sweat resistant. The blue-tooth connection works very well over my Android phone (Moto E4 Plus). However, there are some drawbacks. When making calls, only the right side works. This also happens during video calls. They can only be charged through the special case/charger. If the main use is to listen to music while working out, then these headphones are a great choice. However, if making calls is a priority, they don't work that well.

I can honestly say upon first impression of these wireless headphones I was majorly concerned with functionality and comfort. I use my Apple ipad in the early morning and for about three hours in the evening. I am moving and shaking and completing multiple tasks along with my workouts. These Bose wireless in ear headphones fit the bill and offer wonderful transition as well sound clarity. You don't have to be a huge tech person. You don't have to push a bunch of buttons and go back and forth between settings. The comfortability level maintains no comparison and I am highly impressed with standard of range I have from my device. Have NOT experienced any discomfort or drop out of ear issue. Connection is seamless, I just grab and go with very little adjustment and the battery life maintains several more hours than expected. I am managing use of them practically everyday. I would highly recommend this product.

These imo are great, but missing one minor/major thing..... A mute button! Even my lil Jabra Stealth has a mute button. Which I've grown used to. Which is why I had to return these. But they sound GREAT, calls are clear, but a bit dry sounding. Music is A1, did not experience video audio lag, charging case works 100%. They are comfortable, with both in you will look like an alien & they have great battery life. I'm still considering buying them again.

I bought these with a bit of skepticism. I wanted to use them to work out, but they looked a little bit bulky and felt a little bit heavy to me. If I was going to wear them for long bike rides I needed them to be comfortable. Well, I took them on my first mountain bike ride yesterday (I'd already used them for weight lifting and for running), and I absolutely loved them. I couldn't feel them at all the whole time. They never bothered my ears, let just enough ambient sound in so I could tell what was going on a round me, but were loud enough for me to enjoy the music. I already convinced my brother to get a pair because I love them that much. The sound quality is great, comfort and fit are great and the connection is rock solid. It's never dropped a signal with my phone in my pocket, in my pack or sitting on the side of the exercise room. In my opinion, they are worth every penny.

Bose, you nailed it again!!! I got the SoundSport about a month ago, the case has an amazing texture to it. The idea of using the case for charging was phenomenal and it was executed with Grace. The case can hold charging and you need not have to worry about separate charging with wires. As always the sound quality of Bose is exceptionally well in this product as well. No complains in that area. Though sometimes the signal can get disturbed even though my phone is in pocket and when I am out for running. Looks and design is up to the mark and ease of use is quite well. Overall I am satisfied with this product and would recommend if anyone is looking for wireless headphones.

    Decent but Overpriced Wireless Earbuds

Function: Sound: typical Bose standard, not much complaint here, it's loud enough but still leaves room for ambiance noise. When I'm in the gym I can still hear some of the background music. I wouldn’t wear them while biking outside tho, since they are big and stick out quit a lot, the wind blowing on them creates a much louder noise that kills the experience. Ergonomics: they stay securely in my ears because of the ear hooks, which is the main reason I chose them over AirPods. They are comfortable enough to stay inside for at least an hour. But the earbuds are sticking out so much (again) I wouldn’t wear them when putting on or taking off clothes. Sometimes when I use a towel to wipe of sweat I accidentally knock them out. Connectivity: To iPhone: it’s easy to connect, Bose App is helpful, but there are times when the earbuds are connected and sounds are coming through but the App says it’s not connected. To Multiple Devices: not an option Video Latency: 2 seconds lag for youtube, slightly less for Netflix and other web based videos (reddit) Battery: Battery life has been good, I typically spend at most 2 hours in one gym session, and when fully charged it goes to 50%ish when I’m leaving the gym. Case provides roughly two charges. However, recently when I’m taking my earbuds out of the case, the ear buds only have 60% battery left, even after (i) leaving earbuds in the case (case has enough battery) for a full night; (ii) leaving both case and earbuds charging for hours till case reaches full battery level. Price: Quite expensive! This is $100 more expensive than Apple's AirPods, I am thinking of returning this product and get AirPods to have a fair comparison.

Hi, Thanks for the review. In reference to the video lag, Our engineers have identified the cause of this issue, and are currently working on a software update that will be made available to customers by mid-December. This update will substantially improve audio-video synchronization for those using Bluetooth devices that fully support Audio Video Distribution Transport Protocol (AVDTP) version 1.3 or later. We have confirmed Apple iPhones and iPads use this protocol and we are currently evaluating other popular Bluetooth devices.

We’ll provide an update to you as soon as it’s ready. You may follow us on Twitter via @BoseService for updates.

We're concerned to hear about the other issues you have described, and we'd like to help! Please give us a call at 1-800-379-2073. We are open Mon. – Fri., 9 AM – 8 PM EST. We look forward to hearing from you! Bose

Let me start by saying I tried all of the following ear buds before deciding on these Bose. I tried Apple AirPods, Sennheiser, Sony, Beats and now these Bose. The Bose Soundsport free knocked it out of the park above all of these. In case anybody is wondering I have an iPhone. Although having Apple pair seemlesly was nice the buds themselves hurt my ears after wearing for an hour and constantly fell out of my ears especially when working out. They didn’t seal and therefore the music level was lacking. The Bose soundsport free Seal in your ear tightly so no music is getting out! And they stay in place! You can shake your head around like a maniac and they won’t fall out. While positioned nicely they are also very comfortable. Changing a song takes a little more effort than some but I’m sure the buttons will break in. The charging case is nice but much larger than Apple if that’s a deal breaker for you. Overall I am extremely happy with these Buds and had almost lost hope in finding a pair I deemed worth it until I found these bad boys I highly recommend Note: when I first got these they would cut in and out on a song while working out. I googled it before returning and once I unpaired and re paired my phone it never happened again. Summary Sound: Bose excellent quality Sound level: the loudest I found but they all seem to have a max for safety Comfort: 5 stars Workout ability : 5 stars Battery Life: Case life dies after about 4 days. Buds themselves, I’ve never used more than 3 hours before charging and no problem Connectivity: This could be much better. You can only be about 20 feet from your phone before you lose connectivity Look: This and the reach are about the only negatives for me. I feel like I look like Frankenstein in these but the quality of sound while working out is totally worth it. Price: I got these on Black Friday sale for $30 less, but even at regular price, for $40 more than apple they are definitely worth it and still $50-100 less than its competitors such as sennheiser, Sony, and jay bird

These Bose are it for me. I can’t find anything out there that fits well sounds exceptional waterproof and isn’t heavy on my ears. These are different from the beats the jay birds and the B&O brands. They last up to 9 hours at a time the charger / carry case is a great size and lasts a couple days for me. I use mine everyday because a work 12/hrs a day and hit the gym some days for maybe a couple hrs. The sound is clear and full with a great amount of bass and passive as well so I can actually hear my surroundings. I tried them and love then and you would to.

I purchased these earbuds for the gym and cutting the grass. Overall they have great sound quality and fit very nicely. While not noise cancelling, they do block out almost all external noise. I was concerned about them falling out of my ears, but have been pleasant surprised. Great battery life and the charging case is really nice as well. I have a pair of Beats Wireless (old version) and I felt like I was constantly having to recharge. With the Base case as a charger, I now only have to recharge once a week or so.
