The sound quality is very good, and they are not heavy at all. Unfortunately, whenever I watch a video on YouTube there is like a 1 second delay and it is really annoying.

Thank you for your review. We’ve heard from some customers who are experiencing audio synchronization delays while watching videos.  We know truly wireless headphones are subject to some latency between audio and video, but the feedback we’ve received indicated the product wasn’t performing how we expected.

A SoundSport Free software update is now available to improve audio-video synchronization for most customers and use situations.  You can download the new software wirelessly through the Bose Connect app or by visiting btu.bose.com on your computer.  This update will benefit customers with Bluetooth devices that fully support Audio Video Distribution Transport Protocol (AVDTP) version 1.3 or later.  We have confirmed Apple iPhones and iPads use this protocol and we continue to evaluate other popular Bluetooth devices.  Audio-video synchronization may also vary depending on the mobile app being viewed (e.g. Netflix, YouTube).  We encourage customers to use the most recent software for your mobile apps, Bluetooth devices, and Bose headphones.

If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact us directly at our Customer Support Line at 1-800-379-2073. We're open Mon-Fri, 9 AM to 8 PM. Or you can follow us on Twitter @BoseService. Bose

    One fatal flaw

    Posted

WARNING: There is a permanent, unfixable audio delay for these earbuds. Listening to music is fine, but watching videos is painful. The delay between the sounds I am hearing vs. what I am seeing on the video is unacceptable for a $200 product. If you intend to NEVER watch videos, these earbuds are actually amazing. They sound good and are comfortable. But watching videos is painful, and I will be returning these immediately.

    Audio Lag in video

    Posted
    Chris

Audio quality is good for music, but in video lag is a serious issue. I had the SoundSports before this and I was upset with build quality, they broke after a year. Luckily I had the warranty through BestBuy so I replaced them and upgraded for $100 with a new warranty on these SoundSport Free. At first I was excited but now I'm really disappointed. For $200 these should be way better, I can not watch any videos (except netflix) without a 1-2 second delay. It really ruins any videos on my phone. I expected more from a company like Bose. I want to return these but I need headphones and the only other option from bose is a low quality build SoundSports.

These work really well and the charge last quite a while, I have never had them run out of charge. The only complaint is that the do have sync issues with videos that aren't the typical watching apps (YouTube, Netflix etc.) But for these apps they work fine and have no issues.

Found out, after hours of trying, that these headphones will NOT correctly pair with a Windows10 computer (Mac works fine). Going through the many steps required to get both sides to play sound still will NOT help with the sound delay when watching videos.

I really like them because of the sound quality and the fact that they were truly wireless. The only thing I didn't like was that when I was listening to music or watching a video it would play on both earphones, but then a call would come in and it switched to a single earphone.

Great headphones but lags when playing videos

These headphones are great for listening to music and going to the gym but not so good for watching videos. While watching video's there is a very annoying lag. Also when making or receiving a phone call only the right hand headphone gives audio... very annoying as well. I have Apple AirPods and they work great for everything even while at the gym and bought these pair of headphones because I am a Bose fan that has several wired Bose headphones that work great. I thought these would be better then their wired headphones but it does not come close. Besides these issues the headphones have great crisp sound. I will be returning these headphones as they do not come close to Bose wired headphones or apple AirPods. I was expecting so much more for $250 headphones especially from a Bose product. Even after the update there is still Iag. I am disappointed and will not recommend these headphones to anyone unless it was $100 cheaper and they were not watching video's.

    lags video sound

Ok the only best thing about this is the sound quality and you can answer call without accessing your phone physically. Cons: 1- while watching ANY video on your phone the earphones will lag the audio by 1 second which is really annouying. 2- It drops the audio all of asudden and then picks back up once every 2 minutes. 3- right ear piece is the hub so you have to have it while using them and also while answering calls only the right piece works and left is cut out totally. Overall apple airpod is not great in sound quality but it dont ave any technical issues ilke the bose does. I am really unsatisfied by Bose (first time ever). P.S : any manufacture's comments that says to "upgrade the firmware will fix the issue", don't even try that on me cuz it don't work.

Good Bose sound, but not fully baked

Here are my thoughts after trialing these for a few days with an iPhone and iPad: Pros: - Typically good Bose sound for music - Very comfortable fit with the unique shape of the silicone ear pieces Cons: - Flaky Bluetooth connectivity and left earpiece connectivity, especially when switching between devices - Horrible phone sound quality - barely legible - Not suitable for use with watching video. These wireless earbuds connect between the right earbud and the phone via Bluetooth and then use a secondary wireless connection to left earbud. Because of these two wireless hops, the lag between the audio signal generated from the phone to the sound out of the earbuds is ~1/4 of a second. Because of this delay, video and audio on a phone or tablet will be out of sync. Also, the delay is too much to handle on a phone call, which is why phone calls only play from the right ear bud. Conclusion: If you want good sound for audio only for working out, these are a good solution. If you want high quality earbuds for all-around use, steer clear.

Audio lag for about 1 - 2 seconds for video

I got the earphone today and like the sound. I thought I could finally replace my qc 30. Not so fast. I got 1 - 2 seconds audio lag whenever I watch video on 3 platform, iphone, MacBook Pro, Windows 10 laptop. Later on I check the posts on Bose Community, I found that everyone has the similar issue and Bose insists it's by design and suggested every who want to watch video should buy Soundsport wireless but not Soundsport free. This is deal breaker for me because I want to watch view (like youtube, etc), not just listen to the music in the gym. I'm returning it in the morning.
