Customers are saying

Customers commend the SoundSport™ In-Ear Headphones for their sound quality, comfortable fit, and water resistance, making them ideal for workouts. However, some users find the price to be high and express concerns about the bass response and volume levels. A few also reported issues with the microphone and battery life. Overall, the positive feedback on comfort and sound quality outweighs the negative comments regarding specific features.

    $149 is Kind of Expensive

I got it so that I can use it for running with my iPod Shuffle and keep it light on me. I haven't tried it yet. It will be my first time using a sweat proof sports headphones. Sound Quality is good. But you won't notice it until you switch back to the free Apple earbuds. Then you will miss it. Base sounds medium, full and deep, but not punchy. (Just in comparison - Beats Pro sounds way better, but it's way more expensive and very heavy. Beats Pro is louder and you can seriously feel it. You also need a good SOURCE of music). Size isn't perfect. Medium tip is kind of tight on me. I am not sure if it's worth $149 though... I guess it reflects the price of the accessories (like the extension cord, clip, tips, case). But I really like the durable small case that it comes in. Attached karabiner is great! Very useful. It also has a pocket inside. Great idea! I almost want to buy another Bose case to store my other earbuds. Overall, I would still definitely highly recommend this - get it on sale!

I had the Bose ie2 for 1 1/2 years and the right ear went out. Lasted longer than any other pair I've owned. Upgraded to iOS and the sound is better and much more durable. Very pleased so far!

I have about 120 miles with mine to include a rain filled half marathon, it rained, hard, 14 of the 13 miles. No problems/issues with the ear phones. Never stopped working when soaking wet from with rain or sweat. NOT ONE SINGLE TIME have I had to adjust them because they were falling out. No problems yet with the connection plug. I've gone through numerous ear phones/buds over my years of running and these by far are the best I've worked.

    Great replacement for MEI2

Always love Bose quality over any other brand. These are to replace my missing MEI2 Bose headphones. The sport version has better wires then the non sport. They are thicker and looks to be able to take a little bit better wear and tear. Sound quality is always on point. don't waste your money on beats ever.

    Not the best by Bose

I got the SoundSport in-ear buds ( IOS version ) as a Christmas present. I use my Apple phone apps to track running mileage and heart rate. I've used the buds that came with my phone with no moisture problems at all, but wanted a little bit better sound for my music. First time out the door with the Bose was a foggy morning. I made it about 1/2 mile and the sound just shut off, completely. When I moved the in-line control, it came back on, but at half the volume level. I adjusted the sound and took off again. A narrow band of light rain came across ( about 5 minutes max), and the volume went full blast. The in-line remote did not function at all, I had to control the volume on the phone. The in-line switch never functioned again. The cord was damp, but by no means damp enough that it should mess up a pair of buds that are supposed to be moisture resistant. My factory buds have been much wetter, with out missing a beat. I've used Bose products for 30 years, but this has shaken my faith in them. The sound wasn't noticeably better than my Apple buds. The ear fit was good, very comfortable. The build was a bit flimsy and cheap. Over all, I'm really disappointed that Bose put this product out for their fans. I took mine back and I've ordered a different brand, hopefully better. For the money spent, these are a dismal failure. Reading the reviews here and on the Bose page, this isn't an isolated case, but seems to be a recurring problem with this model.

Love these headphones but if you have a lifeproof case in which you have to screw in the auxiliary cord into your case to use headphones then this will disable your volume controls on your bose headphones

    Good sound bad mic

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Honestly it upsets me I have to give these headphones less than 5 stars! I really like the sound and shouldn't expect anything less from Bose. They fit in my ear canal fine, (run 3-4 miles a day, lift weights 45-60 minutes a day) and they have never hurt my ear canal. Plus I enjoy sitting in a dry sauna a few times a week, so I have really tested out the "sweat proof" claim. Newer version have a shorter cord so it is perfect length from my ears to my pocket or arm band. Here is the bad part and why I gave it 3 stars.....the mic is horrible. I have returned these 3 times for bad a mic. Right out the box you kinda have to yell for the other person to hear you. After a week or two the mic doesn't work at all! I thought it was a bad pair so took them back for a second pair....same issue. Thought, maybe it was my phone, giving Bose the benefit of all doubt, and tried a third pair. 3 weeks and SAME issue. It wouldn't be such a big deal if they lowered the price or just took the mic off all together but it is Bose and I expect a certain level of quality from their products. So if you want good sound and durable, sweat proof headphones where a mic doesn't matter than buy these. But if you want to use the mic than try a different brand.

Nice sound quality, not that weather resistant

This ear Headphones have great sound fidelity and quality. They fit comfortably in the ear. After some 4 months, I started to have issues with the sound controls, and 2 months later they were almost impossible to use (never used them under rainy conditions, only regular sweat; I live in Florida; my original iPhone earpuds last longer, still working perfectly after a year)

My old headphone quit working and I needed a new one to use in the gym. I purchased the Bose SoundSport based on glowing reviews, but returned it after 15 min of use. While the ear tip is soft and sticky, none of the 3 sizes fit in my ear property, they all fall out very easily. The sound quality is pretty much average joe, maybe even worse than the headphone that came with my iPhone. Lacks bass and sounded muted/muffed. I returned it and exchanged it in store for the JBL Reflect Mini for half the price, JBL sound much better with clarity, the fit of the JBL ear tip is also perfect and locks secure and comfortable on my ear. I own a Bose around-ear noise canceling headphone and the SoundSport is a joke compared to it, quite disappointed. If you have a chance try before you buy.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about the experience you had with the headphones. We are sorry to hear that you returned the headphones. Based on your description of the ear tips as sticky, we believe you may have gotten defective ear tips. This would affect both the fit and sound quality. We are glad to your that you enjoy the previous Bose headphones you own and try another pair of our headphones in the future. Bose

    Am I Missing Something?

I did some research on reviews before purchasing. Majority are really good. Decided to buy a pair. Plugged in to my iPhone 6. Played music and am really disappointed. Low volume and no bass. Played around with music settings and raised to 100% in iTunes. For $135 dollars and the bose name I was expecting more. A lot more. Tried using all sizes of tips and even get online to make sure I have them in my ears properly. Going to play around for a little while longer. If I'm still unhappy will definitely return them. Had headphones at half the price that sound way better. One positive note. They do fit in my ears good.

    Not sound for Sports

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After many hours of online and in-store research AND based on past history with Bose products, I decided to purchase a pair of Soundsport headphones, I purchased the Blk/Blu for iPhone. The discount also motivated me. Unfortunately, I am fairly disappointed with this purchase. Main reason: I'm a cyclist and runner and I purchased these to use during intense activity. On my 2nd run, I started to hear static in the left ear. After a couple hours of cycling (running the cord outside my jersey - not against my sweaty body) I noticed the volume changing sporadically and the sound turning completely on and off. Finally, after about 5 activities, the inline volume control stopped working during my ride. It works fine if I don't use it for running or cycling....The sound is acceptable, but not a distinguishable enough improvement over the apple ear buds to justify the price without enhancements for sports . I would not recommend these for active sports at this time. I'm going to get a replacement from Bose and write another review.
