Too large/bulky to fit and stay in my ear. I was disappointed because I prefer Bose, but I could not use them.

Sounded pretty bad for a pair of Bose and Bluetooth connectivity was quite cumbersome. The heart rate tracking is pretty worthless.

The earpieces are bulky and kept falling out my ear and off my neck. I almost lost them three times and had to exchange them twice. The first set did not work at all.

The sound quality was great but the ear buds were too bulky. They would not stay in my ear once I started sweating. Really sweaty workout caused the left earpiece to stop working.

The functionality is similar to my powerbeats 3's and like the beats, they dont seem to get loud enough. Sound quality is great and I haven't had an issue with them falling out like in other reviews I read. They are a little bulky.

These headphones are great for just about any activity. I'm a long distance runner so when I received these I was thrilled. The crystal clear sound kept me moving through the tough miles. On my off days I tend to walk or lift weights at the gym and these were great for those activities as well. They are small and come with a great carrying case that you can stash in your purse, gym bag, etc. The volume control on the right hand side is easily accessible and very easy to use while moving. The sound is clear and great quality - as with all Bose products I own. My one complaint about these headphones and why they aren't receiving 5 stars is that they are a bit bulky in ear. They stick far out of your ears and can be a little cumbersome to get positioned in correctly when you first put them on. All in all I would definitely recommend.

I haven't been to impressed with some of the wireless headphones out there, but the Bose SoundSport Pulse, sound great, easy to set up (at times). Connecting to my phone was easier than connecting to my tablet, They are a bit bulky and I have never been a fan of buds or just having things in my ears period, but these are by far some of the most comfortable wireless headphone I have experienced. Bose did an all around good job, with the exception of the battery life and the Bose connect app. Battery life is only 5 hours, 6 at the most. The Bose connect app gives an apology for the requirement to have the GPS (location) on in order to work properly. But overall great headphones

I have had several different wireless earphones and headphones over the last couple of years including Blueant Pump, Jaybird Bluebuds and PowerBeats to name a few, but these are overall my favorite. The sound quality is great, simple to pair and use and comfortable to wear. The only negative about these is they are very bulky. They protrude from my ears and are a bit of an eyesore to look at while wearing, but being that how they look is not as important as how they sound I still like the these the best. I also like that they track my heartbeat within the Apple Health app. If you don't have an iPhone (I think it works with Android also), then this feature may not be available. Overall, a quality set of headphones that remain comfortable even after long periods of use.

I have been trying out this Bose headphones for a while now and I can say I am very happy with this product. The fact that it reads my heart rate is a plus. The sound quality is great and the noise block helps when taking calls. Conversations sound much clear with no noise interruption. The battery lifetime is great, last a long time and charges fast. Having tried other wireless brands, Bose has been my best choice. The headphones fit snug without falling off during work out. I was hesitant thinking they wouldn't be comfortable because of the style but I found them to fit comfortable. The only thing I would change is how bulky they look, I would prefer something more discreet. Overall great headphones.

I had previously purchased JBL Contour headphones before purchasing these. My PowerBeats broke after 3 years and I needed something that would be comfortable and excellent for working out since I do a lot of interval training and running. I bought these yesterday, wore them to the gym at night and I'm not disappointed! I'm a skeptic when it comes to headphones having only the fins on them instead of sitting around the ear because I'm always afraid they'll fall out when I'm running. These stayed in my ears the entire time with no irritation and I had no problems with sweat getting in them. Battery life is also fantastic; they come pre-charged at 60%. I charged them to 80% before the gym and I've used them for about 5 hours total so far (they're only at 60%). The sound quality is also superb versus most other ones I've tried, but I definitely expected this from Bose. Although they'ren't noise cancelling, I can hardly hear my surroundings with these on. One thing that I don't like is how bulky the headphones are, though. Nonetheless, the wire between the earbuds is lightweight and not very long to be bothersome and you don't have to adjust it like you would on PowerBeats. I've yet to try the pulse monitoring on these as I didn't download the app, but once I do, I will update my review on how well it is. Otherwise, amazing headphones. I highly recommend them.

I have been experimenting with the new Bose SoundSport Pulse earbud-style headphones for a couple of weeks. I have compared them to another quality set of in-ear headphones I use as well as some high-end on-ear headphones. The end result - The Bose SoundSport Pulse is an excellent headphone. The sound reproduction is very clear. It doesn't get bogged down with too heavy a bass, nor does suffer from distortion at the higher ranges. The aural template is very pleasing. I used the Pulse headphones in conjunction with the Bose Connect app on my Android phone. The app is also available on iOS. While the app is somewhat stark, it functions well. When you use the app, you also get heart rate monitoring (relayed to the app on your phone), which seemed pretty accurate based on comparisons to self tests and my Fitbit Surge. I had hoped the Pulse would include active noise cancelling technology, but it doesn't appear to, unless I have missed it. I have not found any reference to noise cancelling, and it clearly doesn't block out most noises around you. I understand the intent is that these will largely be worn during exercise or running, so you need to hear what's going on around you for safety reasons. Still, there are active noise cancelling technologies that will block loud sounds while allowing normal sounds to permeate the device; this is what I had hoped for with the Pulse. The Pulse uses an interesting (and comfortable) wing fit to nestle in the ear. Bose calls these StayHear+ Sport Tips. They seem to keep it secure and comfy. It comes with three sets of interchangeable tips to get the right fit for your ear. The cable connecting the two earbuds has a multi-function volume rocker that works well. I had no complaints about using the Pulse for voice as well as music. The cable also has a clip you can use to secure it to your shirt or neckband. The Pulse also comes with a nice little carry case that has a plastic carbiner clip. I presume it is plastic to save weight, but I thought the carbiner felt cheap. The Pulse charges fairly quickly and holds a charge well. I had read battery life is rated for 5 hours, and I consistently got a little better than that. In terms of design, the Pulse looks bigger and more bulky that I expected, but they were not at all heavy or uncomfortable. I have a bad knee and a bad ankle, so I don't jog and cannot comment on whether the bulk would be an impediment for wearing them while jogging. Pros: - Quality sound reproduction - Comfortable fit - Workout friendly pulse monitoring Negatives: - Bulky design - No noise cancelling Essentially, this is almost identical to the non-Pulse version except this one adds a heart rate monitor, loses about an hour of battery life, and costs $50 more. It's a nice headphone. If you find the heart rater monitoring beneficial (and the heart rate monitoring from the ear is supposed to be more reliable than what you might get from a wrist wearable), then go for it. If you don't need the heart rate monitoring, I might stick with the non-Pulse model by Bose. Regardless, you get great sound with either model.

I really wanted to like these headphones but they are just too pricey for what you get. I should mention my last pairs of headphones were jaybird x3 that were stolen and I wanted to splurge on these but I got less for more money with the bose. Let me explain what I like and don't like then below I'll list a summary comparing the two. Pros: Comfortable, they don't fall out, clear crisp audio (also a con), heart rate sensor works ok...just ok. Cons: outrageously bulky, huge sound leak both ways in and out, short battery life. 5 hours compared to 8 on the jaybirds. Price. Audio- let me explain I said I had the jaybirds which sound better out of the box by the way but if you don't like the sound of the bose that's it there is no changing it. I was spoiled with my jaybirds because you can adjust the sound to whatever you need via the app. And no it's not gimmicky it's a firmware modification that will stay programed until changed. I was serious disappointed because I owned a pair of jaybirds. If I had never owned those I would have loved these. They are $130, smaller in size, more comfortable, louder much much louder, customizable sound that sounds better to YOU. They have the best passive noise cancellation of any headphones even better then my $350 noise cancelling headphones. They fit under a helmet. I think what I hated most about the bose is the bulkiness. I'll be returning them for another pair of jaybirds.

I recently received these earbuds for review and I've to say -- these are my new favorite portable bluetooth earbuds. They are BY FAR, the most comfortable bluetooth earbuds my ear canals have had the pleasure of experiencing. I thought long and hard on whether to give this product 4 or 5 stars and ultimately, I had to give credit where credit's due and gave it 5 stars. I will touch on why I contemplated docking a star at the end of this review. Sound: Flat and mostly neutral with tight, crisp bass. I was floored with the level of vocal clarity on these buds. The instruments also sounded very crisp. Due to these earbuds sounding neutral and utterly clean, I feel they are best paired with dance, pop, hip/hop, progressive, and classical type music genres. Rock still sounded great but the aforementioned genres is where these buds really shine. The bass was also impressive to me because it was not overwhelming and did not sound muddy. Nor did it overpower the vocals or instruments. These have quickly become my new daily driver and I'ven't picked up my other leading competitor headsets since I got these. Comfort: As previously mentioned, the silicone included ear tips are simply second to none. They are the most comfortable headsets I've ever used. I used these at work for several 6 hour sessions and not once did they bother me. I also liked that it never felt like they got sweaty or heavy which is something common when wearing earbuds for long periods of time. I also like the included clip on the back part of the wire which allows you to effortlessly clip them to your collar. This kept them secure and allowed me to let them dangle over my collarbone (when not listening to music) without having to worry that they would fall at some point. Functionality: The heart rate sensor was a nice touch. You have to use the "Bose Connect" app to see your heart rate bpm. This is a great addition considering these are "sport" headphones and will likely be used in a gym. The built-in pause/play & track buttons work great, however, there is a little side to side play when you press down on the forward/reverse track buttons. Would have been nice to have more rigid buttons but it's a minor gripe. One of my favorite features is how fast the earphones turn on and off. You simply hold down the power button for about half a second. With other competitor bluetooth earbuds I've tried, I've to hold down the power button for about 3-4 seconds to turn it on/off which can get a little annoying over time. Construction & Design: The earbuds are made of a premium plastic and feel sturdy enough to take a beating. They don't exactly exude top notch grade materials, but they feel like quality earbuds. However, here is where I almost docked a star for this product. The earbuds are rather....large. At least compared to other competitor sport headphones. Due to it's bulky form factor, it's somewhat lacking in the aesthetics department. With all that said, they surprisingly stayed on during several workouts involving high intensity cardio. Surprisingly, albeit it's bulky construction, they are incredibly light and never fell out. If larger earbud housings is the small price I've to pay for the type of sound that these headphones deliver, I've no problem with that. Battery: Battery is good overall. What you'd expect from Bose. Nothing ground-breaking, but it easily lasted several 6 hour sessions at work. One thing I did love is how fast it charged. Plugged in for about 15 mins and it went from a "very low" battery to 60%. Accessories: Came with an awesome black and red Bose carrying case with an easy to open zipper. The headset came with three different silicone earbud sizes; small, medium, and large. Also comes with a standard USB cable to charge the headset. Overall, I don't think other current competitor headsets hold a candle to this one; at least in terms of sound. And yes, I've the other two major competitor "sport" bluetooth earbuds. If you're looking for some of the best sounding bluetooth buds on the market that you can use for your workouts, or even stationary listening for that matter, I would check these out. Don't forget that these also have a heart rate sensor which I think adds even more value if you're using them at the gym or other workouts.

I got the Bose Sound sport Pulse Wireless headset in black and red. The packaging was kind of large for a pair of in-ear wireless headphones. Simple and had a large picture of one of the ear pieces. I can appreciate simple packaging. It folds open into the art on the flaps of the box which was nice and the headphones. The packaging talks about the Bose connect app that you can use to help connect your device to your phone. The app is super simple to use and comes in handy. The headphones come with a nice round Bose carrying case. Medium ear pieces attached to the headphones and a backup pair of small and large to switch out for just in case. Micro USB cord for charging paper and the regular documentation. I didn't charge the headset when I opened it. Connecting the headphones to my iPhone 7+ using the Bose connect app went well. They didn't connect on the first attempt but did on the second attempt. There's a button on right earpiece you use to term them on and triggers the Bluetooth for pairing. They app showed the battery life of 90%. The app started doing an update for the headphones, which stars 32 mins. Super long wait time for an update. Connecting the phone to wifi didn't speed up the process. The headset dropped to 80% in less than five mins while waiting for the update and powered off. While waiting on the update I tried the headphones on and it triggered heart rate check. That was a surprise I didn't realize that was a feature for the headphones. There's also an option for an auto-off timer for the headphones so not to waste the battery. There's an off on option for voice prompting. The headphones are a little bulky on the ear part compared to their wired version. The cord on the headset is long enough to give u a little room to hand around your neck and not tug on your ears. The medium earpieces were a bit hard to put on and felt large. It took a bit of effort to get them in. On my wired version. I use a medium perfectly. The sound is crisp and clear. You are not an enveloped in the sound with in-ear but comparing to the wired Bose sound sport the bass is not as deep but just as crisp and clear. The base is noticeably muted. Even for non bass heavy songs. The hi's and vocals have a lot of treble in them. I prefer more of an equal balance with my levels. At some points in the songs where the instrumentals were low the vocals were off compared to the wired Bose sound sports. They work well for instances when you don't want to be tied to a wire in your phone. For me they are not for long term wear. My ears felt like something heavy was sitting in them after a bit They began to throb a tad. I could see someone using these just for the gym but wont be immersed into the music, too much leakage.
