Stay in place during workout. Charges rapidly. Definitely worth the price

The sound is high quality but the heart rate monitor stopped being accurate after 5 workouts. I would recommend getting Soundsport without the pulse and save $50. Wish Best Buy would have let me trade mine back in on a pair and spend the $50 on a separate HR monitor.

The Bose SoundSport Wireless Pulse easily exceeded my expectation in the sound quality department. It bested my Beats PowerBeats 2 and my wired B&W C5. It has a full, balanced sound with excellent bass reproduction and wide soundstage. Frankly, I really didn't expect much as I am not a Bose guy, but these SoundSport Wireless are really quite good. They are a bit bulky in your ear, but overall comfortable and lightweight. Battery life seems reasonable for this style of headphone and I managed to get a solid 6 hours out of them. Construction seems solid and charging is done with a USB micro cable. The only real negative I have is that the pulse rate monitoring is pretty gimmicky. It would frequently have trouble reading my pulse and I would have to reposition the buds, but when it worked it was often pretty accurate. The Bose Connect app is OK I suppose. Pretty no-frills app that offers software updating, pulse monitoring, and a very basic music player. Overall, the Bose SoundSport Wireless Pulse exceed my expectation for sound quality, are comfortable to wear, and have a decent battery life. Just not sure the extra money for Pulse monitoring is really worth it.

headphones are charged and ready to use right out of the box. The Bose app for iPhone is easy to use. The only complaint I have is sometimes the heart rate monitor doesn't "read" my heart rate. not sure if thats an iPhone compatibility issue or a Bose issue. other than that, these are great.

I like this product. The battery last a good amount of time. The voice is pleasant. However my reason for getting this was the jbirds wouldn't stay in my ears at all. The Bose are a lot better, but if I get really sweaty and turn my head fast they will come off.

I am a Bose fan with several of their products including the incredible QC-35 noise cancelling headphones. So when I was looking for Bluetooth headphones to wear while biking I was looking forward to the same great experience that I have had using the QC-35. Unboxing is always a pleasure with Bose products as they always make a great impression. The headphones came with a 70% charge, which it announces to you when you turn it on, which allows you to set it up and use it immediately. The pairing with my phone and tablet were simple quick and familiar as all of this is the same as the QC-35. I immediately downloaded the Bose connect app and it downloaded a firmware update to the headphones. Sitting in the quietness of my home, I was able to listen to music, and use voice commands to make and receive calls and texts. Everything worked perfectly. Speaking in my natural volume, my calls and texts were clear and accurate. Another positive is the comfort. These are so comfortable, you can wear them for hours and I promise you will forget that you are wearing them. They also stay in place even when you try to shake out of your ears, you can't. Battery life is stated at 5 hours and I have exceeded that already. Of course another reason to purchase these is for the heart rate monitoring. I tested this against my heart monitor watch with a chest strap and I found the Soundsport Pulse to be very accurate. Now for the fatal flaw. I went on my first bike ride and I immediately experienced extremely loud wind noise. These headphones stick out of your ear, which I don't mind, but because they do they create a tremendous amount of wind noise. Apparently Bose forgot about aerodynamics when they designed these. The whooshing noise was not only annoying, but completely negated the voice controls. I tried repeatedly to call or text, but my phone could not understand my commands, despite talking as loud as I could. I finally stopped to make call which went through. However, as soon as I started riding the other party could no longer understand me over the whooshing noise. There was a lot of "What?, What did you say? Are you in traffic?". By the time I finished, 1 1/2 hours later, my ears were ringing from being exposed to the wind noise. I did not expect these to block out outside noise, nor did I want that, as I need to hear cars coming from behind me. But I did not expect these to amplify wind noise and be useless for the main activity for which I purchased them. So now I have a nice headphone to wear around my house, or in the gym, but not for the outdoor sport for which they were intended. So I was torn between 5 stars for the excellent comfort and quality, and 1 star for the wind noise which made it useless for biking. So I will settle on 3 stars.
