I also own a pair of QC 30 and the sound is on par. However, these are not as comfortable. After about 30 minutes my ear starts hurting. I have to take them off and take a break. On the other hand, the QC are very comfortable for hours. Battery life can also be improved. I can get about 3 continuous hours. They turn off after about 5 minutes of no activity b

I use mine for online karaoke recording as well as hands free phone functions and music enjoyment while walking and biking. I am satisfied with the quality sound especially for recording my karaoke and decided to get a 2nd set for a friend.
