Nice sound not so great features

Bought this until because the sound quality stood out and it was supposed to integrate with popular online music services. Problem is it doesn't integrate with Amazon or Google Music so if you use those services for your music you are forced to use this unit like a dumb bluetooth player. Sure, the sound is nice but the stored channels and music service integration is not there. Wish i would have read the fine print before buying this unit. Would have gone with something else. If you use Spotify you're fine otherwise id recommend looking elsewhere. It seems that Bose and Google have no plans to integrate anytime soon.

I wanted a wifi speaker that wouldn't need a cell phone app to operate, and this fit the bill great with the 6 preset buttons once setup. We listen to Pandora primarily, so we set each preset to one of our Pandora stations. The wifi works well on either 2.4G (longer range) or 5G and reached outside the house about 50' ... and I tested it with bluetooth as well. As much as I wanted to like it, the bass is just too heavy and the sound is muddled. The minimal bass adjustment through the app did reduce the bass, but with little to no high's the sound was worse. Ended up replacing it with a Sony SRS-HG1 ... no presets, but sound is much fuller and works great with chromecast from an app or Google Home.

This is a fantastic product. I have always wanted a pair of Bose 901 speakers. I love Bose products and the Soundtouch 10 is a great speaker. The sound is fantastic. Todays modern music has a lot tech involved and often a very heavy baseline. I can not beleive the sound that comes from this small speaker. In my living room I have a very nice pair of old school stand up 3ft high 4 way speakers and I like listening to this unit better. I am considering adding them around the house and maybe using in a stereo configuration. The bass is so deep and the highs are also soo clear and distortion free. Money well spent a quality product.

This is my first Bose speaker purchase and I am very happy with it. I will be purchasing another one next year. I chose this type of speaker over the pair of Bose computer speakers because you're not limited by the length of the cord that connects the two speakers together. What I didn't expect to get with just one speaker, is such great sound. I've tried the speaker with all of my technology: laptop with the 3.5 headphone jack and with the Bluetooth, portable DVD player, projector, and my TV and I am very impressed and wish I had made this purchase a long time ago. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to improve the audio on their computer or TV.

I was given this as a gift. I previously compared it to similar sized sonos, and thought its sound was slightly better than the sonos. I liked the option of having 6 presets on the speaker itself. It has an auxiliary jack as well. The app seems simple yet effective. Have not really used the supplied remote. Also like having both wifi and Bluetooth. There are other features I haven't tried yet such as switching between speakers or playing the same source in different rooms because I only have one device so far. So far so good, great sound for size. I was disappointed to find it is not included in devices controllable with various home automation providers/apps like the sonos is.

Ordered the Sound Touch 10 off my credit card rewards points in white. Don't let its handy, compact size fool you, which, by the way, fits nicely into my white bookshelf space at the very bottom. I have a 1,200 sqft craftsman bungalow, and despite the size (and its noticeable weight), its sound is superior. Bump some Madonna and you will know exactly what I mean. Easy app to download on any phone and I am not one bit tech savvy. Premium quality, wish it had a bit more in the highs but hey, consider its all-round quality. For about $ 200 or a bit more, I know it is not the average price range but it is so worth it if you can swing it.

I have owned Bose products in the past. I do not think this one is as decent as others I've owned. I had several issues with this outside of sound. One, the main reason I bought them was to link them so I could play the same song throughout the house. I could not get them to connect to my home network no matter what I did. I tried every troubleshooting remedy and nothing worked. I noticed many other reviews complained of the same issue. Two, every time you unplug it to move somewhere else, it has to go through a new startup and resyncing to bluetooth. Three, it is not cordless and the shape itself is not very appealing to me. I have returned the product and purchased the Beat Pill 2.0 instead.

This little speaker is great for my apartment living room. I have it always on so even before I walk into my apartment I have music playing. It's pretty cool every time you walk into music. The sound on this guy is perfect for like a smaller area! Best thing about this is that it uses Bluetooth and WiFI!!!. It does have an aux jack for those you want to hard wire your phone. Downside is that it's not portable, meaning it doesn't have a rechargeable battery. You need to keep it plugged in. Overall, I am statisfied with this speaker and I would definitely recommend this to anyone whose looking for a music speaker in a small area.

We already have the Bose Wave SoundTouch system IV for our Living Room in our Townhouse, and we were looking for a smaller streaming device for our bedroom. This was perfect!!! 1st thing, it's a Bose! the sound is great. Getting it online took less than 5 minutes since we already had SoundTouch setup, and it shared the same presets that we already had setup on the other device. We wish it had a sleep timer like the other, but it's not a deal breaker. We loved it so much, we bought one for our parents for Christmas and they are loving it as well! If you have a bigger room, i'm sure the 20 or 30 should be just as good and again, it's a Bose!!

This smaller version of SoundTouch is ideal for average and smallish size rooms. It fills the air with the sound that is realistic and enjoyable. The unit is quite compact and amazing in that it out-performs any other similar wireless playback system using bluetooth or wifi streaming. Like its big brother systems it has presets for favorite internet sources and quickly picks up the link from your phone or iPad. It is well-worth its modest price when compared to other wireless players. The only drawback is in a very large room it is a little limited in speaker size, but is OK in a pinch. It has 2 big-brother systems that do a great job in these situations.

This is the third item in the series we purchased, we have the model 30 and 20 and with this latest addition the complete series - of course there are a couple more we will add in the future, the outside speakers and Amp. Using either iPad, Nook, or iPhone we are able to control our listening environment. Subscribers to Pandora and Spotify we can have the musical ambience we want. In the morning we use the Internet radio stations to catch the news - all in all a complete package. We still have to try our NAS music service where we stored tens of thousands of cuts, let's see how it handles that volume, that is next on our list. Bose did a great job!

Having a bose system already sounds touch 130, this was a good compliment. The benefit is playing the same thing on your other system. This however does not function to play your tv sound only music apps. Also Bluetooth will not work in this feature either. Now that this has Sirius it makes it more worth the money. The sound is great. The app is ok. The 6 presets are cool giving you the ability to preset I-heart Pandora Sirius stations on any one and they change between the presets almost seamlessly. Overall I gave it four stars because it doesn't have a battery as I move mine around constantly. Great choice if you have an outlet to plug it into.

A great sounding room speaker that is easy to set up and move around the house for stereo music. You must download the BOSE Soundtouch app on your PC, tablet or cellular phone inorder to set the speaker up. Once accomplished you should connect the speaker to your wireless router. This permits you to stream music from any of your connected devices. You also have the choice of connecting these devices via Bluetooth. Either way the sound is great. Lastly you can connect the speaker to your audio system via the included aux jack. The last was not important to me as I wanted to play stereo music in rooms where I did not have wired speakers.

While considering the purchase of a "portable" Bose "wireless" speaker, consulting with a best buy employee, I was misled regarding the features of this product. I specifically was viewing and asking about the "chargeable" Bose speakers. Since none of the items I wanted were in stock, the employee suggested this product with the features i was looking for, but had none on display. I chose this item, believing it was chargeable as well as wireless. However, this product requires constant plug in power for operational use. The best buy employee was either lacking knowledge of it, or purposely misleading.

The sound quality was not what I expected from Bose. The Soundlink II that we have has amazing sound but this unit did not. The bass muddied very quickly at moderate volumes. Putting the unit in a corner helped magnify the bass without distorting it. The other issue I had was that I could not use the connectivity features at my office. The unit recognized the large public wifi at work as a public wifi spot and you can't hook up to the internet using public wifi. I'm giving this 3 starts because I like the features and could see them being useful. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me.

Thank you for being a loyal Bose customer. While the SoundTouch wireless technology is not designed to work with enterprise wifi networks, you can take advantage of Bluetooth to enjoy the speaker at your place of employment. I needed a way for my 85 year old mother in law to be able to hear the television without it being so loud that everyone in the house heard it. I hooked this speaker up wirelessly to the television and set the speaker on the table next to where she likes to sit. Worked perfect by bringing the sound closer to her it didn’t need to be so loud. I would not have thought of doing this if not for the great help at the Niles Illinois Best Buy.

I was a bit skeptical about buying a Bose speaker, but I read some reviews and said, eh I'll try it. Dopest speaker I've ever purchased. Sound is great (better than beats), the Internet radio settings are awesome. Sometimes you don't feel like connecting your phone so you can preset the buttons for Pandora Spotify and even global internet radio (I listen to a lot of music from Europe). Uses your wifi to stream your music. Easy to use and set up was a breeze. Great entry level product. The other sound touch devices are great, but this here is the best bang for your buck!

Bought the small SoundTouch 10. Great for the price in retrospect I should have bought the larger more expensive 20 or 30. But for now it is great. Some complications setting it up as I already had a Sound Touch 300 bar, which is fabulous. Back to the 10, I needed to go to website for better instructions on installation. Once over that hurdle it has been wonderful. I would have liked more flexibility in sound bu it is good Bose quality. I suggest you look at all 3 sound touch speakers and decide which is best for you.

I bought this to go in my bedroom and planned to use it with the Bose soundtouch 300. After first seeing it up, I couldn't get the play all feature to work. I could play on one or the other but not both. After restarting both and reconfiguring to connect both to the same network, I could finally play music on both. The remote is super convenient especially since you can set up to 6 preset Spotify stations to play whenever simply pressing one of the number keys. Much easier than having to did through my phone for the app

I needed something like this, and I read the reviews for Sonos and Samsung. I chose this low-end Bose due to price, mostly, but also due to built in wifi. I am very pleased. I use it to listen mostly to radio stations, and it works perfectly for all the Boston-area stations I listen to. All stations, rock, NPR, and sports talk, come through cleanly. I put it into a large kitchen (20 x 12 w/ 9 ft ceiling), and it's a bit under-powered. The audio is just fine, but it gets washed out at the other end of the room. I plan to move it to another room and buy one of the higher powered Bose units.
