    Great Sound - Unnecessary Add-on

    After listening to this system in the store, I decided to get it over the 120, and I believe I made the right decision. My only issue is that I would rather have purchased the Cinemate 130, instead of the SoundTouch 130. The SoundTouch forces the customer to pay an addition $200 for the SoundTouch technology that I have not used past the setup process. Basically, SoundTouch allows you to listen to certain apps and radio stations through an app on the phone. But since it also has bluetooth, this is a moot point and a useless feature. I have many more apps that work better on my phone that I can just play over bluetooth rather than using them through the soundtouch app. Also, the app doesn't even work well at all. I'm not happy with the fact that I had to pay an additional $200 for a technology that just isn't worth it. At best, it's worth a $50 upcharge.

    The technician who did the installation of TV can make the Boss system works. Do I need to call Boss for on-site support?

    Great Sound Bar Except......

    Recently purchased the Bose 130 Soundtouch and general very happy with my purchase. I have a large room and it fills it easily. The sound is great in both movies and music. The bass is small so I just turn it up and it's sufficient for my listening needs. It's not a true surround sound but there where times when it did manage to produce that "full sound." The complaint I have is when there is rear dialog it is barely audible. It's happened a handful of times while watching movies. Even my wife complained...and that's saying a lot. I'm not sure if this is a design or software issue. I will do an update when I find the answer.

    Sounds Great, no substitute for true surround syst

    I am taking off a star for the build quality, NOT the sound quality. As far as sound bars go, these sound awesome. The build quality at Best Buy however is horribly lack luster and I recommend checking out your sub woofer unit before you leave the parking lot. I had to buy 4 of them to get one that wasn't put together on an angle. The end caps were stuck on the woofer box so askew that you could literally look into the guts of it through the 1/4" cracks. The problem with this is it sits on the floor crooked and looks funny on an angle. I had to buy the 4th one at the Bose outlet to get one that was made correctly. I got the first 3 from 2 different Best Buy locations in Grand Rapids, MI (Beltline #406 and Grandville stores) It would seem Best Buy gets all of the "lesser" units from Bose for a bargain or something.

    We recently moved into a smaller home where I had a 5.1 POLK system installed into the walls of our family room. I pushed 750 watts with my Pioneer ELITE receiver which sounded great. I researched all the sound bars I could find now that we have a much smaller media room. This system sounds GREAT! I'm very impressed. The sub-woofer sounds great and the high's and low's are there too. I will also be adding more wireless speakers throughout the home and love the ability to stream my music library with the bluetooth capabilities.

    Purchased the soundtouch 130 about a month ago. Im really happy with the purchase. This little system packs a punch. Whether its movies or music, the sound is very clear and can fill up a room. We have the system in our great room which isn't huge. It's about 600sqft. The bose performs very well . It really does sound like 5.1 surround. I don't know how Bose does it. Now is it better than a dedicated 5.1 surround system with 5 speakers and a receiver? No. But if you're looking for great sound while eliminating clutter, this is perfect.

    Quite a pretty penny to spend but if you're a person who appreciates great sound, this set is for you. Love the Bluetooth capability that allows me to pair my devices whereas older versions require you to purchase the adaptor separate.

    The style and sound are both very good. One issue is that there is a module that is wired to the sound bar that is basiscally the computer for the system. Finding space for this large module can be an issue. The remote is IR so putting the module in a cabinet requires an IR repeater.

    This is the best sound system I have seen or heard in years. It makes feel like I am really in the movie or on stage. I think the setup is slightly more complex than what most of people will expect from a soundbar. but totally worth it.

    At first I was disappointed with the inconsistent sound volume however after reviewing the manual I determined that my router was causing interference with the subwoofer. Once I separated the two, the sound was amazing.

    Very disappointed with this system. Although the sound is somewhat fuller, at lower volumes it is a mediocre sound improvement over the Panasonic speakers already in my tv. After spending over an hour trying to get a synchronized tv/cable power on and off I called Bose support. The rep stated that " regretfully" our remote isn't capable of doing that, you'll need to press 4 buttons to activate the system each time you power up. For the price, this system should have a more "intelligent" activation capability.

    One day and had to take back

    Purchased this after looking at the Sonos soundbars and had to return one day after purchasing. Called Bose and was on hold for 45 minutes then only spent 10 minutes with them before he said well I guess it is defective. I don't know what the red light is on the soundbar. The subwoofer worked but no sound out of the soundbar. For 1400.00 you would have thought maybe a little more customer service. Probably won't be exchanging for another one. Bad service from Bose.

      We can certainly appreciate the frustration with taking home and setting up a new home theater system of this caliber, only to find out that it is defective. Based on our experience with this system, this an atypical experience and encourage you to swap it out for a new one. You'll get many years of enjoyment from it and be happy that you did. Bose

    Nice soundbar. Wifi works great, Bluetooth is so-so. Installation was simple The sub has a nice clean bass on the low notes, but isn't wall rattling some people may want (Bose best sub comes with the acoustimass series). The sub is the same one used in the 120. Pricey unit, but worth it. We use it for music and TV. Works great with Spotify and Pandora.

    What a piece of junk

    I have had this system less than 6 months and this is the 3rd time it won't recognize the accoustimas module rendering the system completely unusable. I have sent the module back for service and it works for a while and then dies. The last time Bose sent me a hardwire to directly connect the accoustimas. It worked for a month and once again I get the message that it can't find the module. I have been a Bose customer for over 10 years and have had multiple products from them. I will never buy Bose again. Once again I am on with Bose service waiting for them to answer for over 20 minutes. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH BOSE!

    After a few months cannot connect Acoustimass to console even using a cable. High end Bose company wants me to pay to ship their defective product for repair and take a month or more without the product and maybe get back a repaired product. Terrible service from what I thought was a great company.

    I first bought the Sony HTST9 and I was not satisfied. I bought the sound touch 130 and I love it. It is defiantly worth the money. I would highly recommend this product. It is amazing
