Only down side, it went on sale a few days after I purchased, and the person I called could not manage to reimburse me the price difference

It's kind of crazy that Bose has three different lines that are incompatible with each other. Difficult to figure out.

The 3 main line of connecting products we have are Soundlink, Soundtouch, and the new Eco-2 products.
Any product with Soundlink in the name uses the Bose connect app and focuses only on Bluetooth.
And product with Soundtouch in the name uses the Soundtouch app, and uses a mixture of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Airplay depending on the model.
The Eco-2 Products, which are the SB500, SB700 and Home Speaker 500 use the Bose Music App and use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

Good audio, but setup requires a PC

Then the Bose sound app will work. Wifi setup cannot be done from the app itself. otherwise I would have given 5 stars

They now work with most of the popular streaming apps. I've added a second Soundtouch speaker since this purchase.

Worst buy ever

I have several soundtouch serie III all Around the house 5 total, first one stop working after the first year, I had to pay in order to be fixed, after a few month stoped working again, this time was covered for the guaranty, few month later again no connection, this time was replace for a new one. I still have connection issues with all of them over and over, in order to make it work all together I have to reconnect them several times during the week going to the hole process of delete them and add it to the network over and over, it is almost imposible to make it work nicely in sync. ...... In a word it is a NIGHTMARE. ( I have excellent internet connection at home) so there’s not internet issues for sure I have been very loyal to Bose for several years I have 14 BOSE Audio divises but this SounTouch series III has me very, very frustrated. I would not recommend buying it.
