I got these headphones on sale at $79.99 and for that price, it was a great deal. Clarity is very good, not heavy at all, and they are comfortable to wear. Although they are not noise cancelling, they pretty much do block out outside noises, at least to me.

Got them on sale for the color and because I usually prefer bose. Love the mint color. The quality of the headphones is pretty good but not amazing.

I purchased the Bose SoundTrue™ as Deal-of-the-Day even though I was not actively looking for headphones. I receive daily emails from Best Buy showing current specials and was surprised to see a Bose product as they rarely are on sale. A quick Internet search showed me a possible reason why. These phones are a 2014-15 model that has since been replaced by Bose. Reviews state that changes to the new model are mostly cosmetic. As Deal-of-the-Day these cans were a fantastic buy so I purchased without auditioning them. I currently own numerous Bose products (including speakers I have had for over 20 years) and have found them to be of high quality. As far as phones go, user replaceable ear pads, cables, etc. are easily found even for very old models. The SoundTrue™ headphones appear to be well made and I like the detachable cord and carry case. Now to the sound – I’d say pretty neutral – and that is not a necessarily a bad thing. Some reviewers have felt the SoundTrue™ phones were lacking in bass and at first I felt this might be true. After much listening, I now feel that the Bose convincingly produce the bass that is present without over emphasizing it. Out of the box, they will not “thump”. I do however, believe the Bose can benefit from some form of equalization to bring out even more bass and presence. If listening to digital without any EQ the Bose will sound lackluster. I use a quality headphone amp/DAC/EQ and find the SoundTrue™ phones to be very pleasing. I can even make them “thump” if I want to. As an added bonus they are extremely lightweight and the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned. These are not the best headphones around but I can recommend them especially if you can find a deal.
