I’ve been wanting to install a double din stereo in my ‘01 Camaro for some time now and came across this Boss BVCP9685A unit. For the price, it really is hard to pass up on the unit, and with Apple CarPlay, the deal is even better. You have the ability to add front/rear cameras directly to the unit, which makes it an even better deal. The installation of the unit is like any other stereo. All of the wires are labeled, so just get your adapter harness and make the needed connections. To make this an easier, and a bit cleaner install, I decided to use crimp-on spade connectors. As for the cameras, I haven’t yet installed them, but should get to them later this week. So far, Apple CarPlay seems to be working well. I haven’t had issues connecting, and the sound is clear. Calls are also clear, just make sure you mount the microphone close to your head area. As for music sound quality, I’m not the type to have an extensive sound system in my car, and have the basic upgraded interior speakers in my car, and am very hair with the sound quality. Overall, I am very happy with the Boss BVCP9685A double din unit. I will come back to make an update as soon as I install the cameras. Definitely worth the money.

Looks like it belonged in the car all along! Touch screen works great and has great response time. My only gripe at all is the back up camera sometimes cuts out and has a bit of a grainy quality to it- but the last part is probably just the quality of camera that came with the car. Besides that, I’m very pleased! Also the technician was AWESOME. Very helpful and class act.

Made my old car feel new. Works great. Just wish phone volume was a little better. Lots of functions and android auto is perfect. Register it for great warranty

This is the perfect addition to my truck. It provides Bluetooth connectivity so I can pair my Android phone giving me access to all of my apps.

Pros - Has Android auto and Apple Carplay. Fairly easy to use interface. Capacitive touch screen. Cons - Mediocre audio quality especially if your car has good or powerful speakers Very limited options / settings I can't believe how much better the sound quality was , once I got it swapped for JVC and Pioneer radios. If you like good quality sound (which you should), you should spend a little more and get one of the better brands. Even worth waiting on those to go on sale, if you're tight on cash.

We have a Nissan Versa and works and fit perfect!. I use Apple play card and the performance it’s the best. And if you use the rock sound to listen your music your gonna love it. The price it’s good.

It’s ok but there are definitely better ones. I’d suggest Pioneer or Sony.

I put this radio in my sons 2012 Chevy Impala. The fit is great. Sounds awesome. No feedback when using Bluetooth and Car Play is great. He loves listening to music from his phone while in the car. I would recommend this product.

I bought this item as a Christmas gift for my husband, who is not tech-savvy. We liked that it came with both Andriod Auto and Apple CarPlay because he has an iPhone and the rest of the family are on Andriod. The free installation offer from BestBuy ensured that he was able to get up and running, with a tutorial on how to use. Easy-peasy!

I kind of wished I would have gone with another brand. It's just okay. The sound is a bit staticky but sounds decent enough. The Bluetooth is where the stars fall off. I have to make sure I have every single app closed on my phone. If I have my messaging app, or email, anything open, BOSS will have issues. I have had multiple times going down the road and it just disconnects. I have to fight to connect my phone about 95% of the time. When it works its okay, but there's the problem, it's a struggle to get it to work. Radio sounds good and is clear. This does not come with a USB cord.

Excellent screen and works amazing with backup camera. Everyone compliments on how nice it looks in the car.

This is a good device. My only complaint is that the picture quality is not as good as factory radio my vehicle came with.

Works great. Looks good in my car. Only bad was having to spend almost $500 on a dash kit to get it installed .

The wife loves it, so it’s a win for me! Not the most advance, but has the Apple Carplay which we wanted. Get the rear camera (we didn’t) cause it will make this upgrade complete!

So far this has been a great radio and the more I learn what it can do I like it even more. Apple play works great, and I have no problems with the Bluetooth.

I needed a system for my F-150. plays nice for the price, can use my Iphone now.

Bought this and started having issues right off the bat. The screen would go black and I would reset it but still had issues. Then finally last week this thing just stopped allowing you to touch the screen. So it would play the music but it wouldn’t reset at all.
