To get realistic sound, get a woofer with the speakers. Be careful connecting the wires correctly.

I mounted them in-wall for L&R surround and they added just the sound dimension I was looking for.

After reading countless online reviews of online reviews, I was stuck between the less expensive Speaker Craft which fit my budget and the Bowers and Wilkins CCM664 which stretched my budget. I visited 3 different Best Buy stores before I found someone helpful and knowledgeable enough to spend the time with me and answer questions. Listened to the Speaker Craft first, which weren't bad, but a bit tinny. Once I listened to the B&W CCM664, I was impressed. and had decided Then against my better judgement, I decided to give the CCM 663s a listen which were $75 more each and would stretch my budget even more. I was blown away! Suddenly my budget was out the window and I walked out with a pair of CCM663s. Installation was a snap and took about 1 hour. The housing is installed and wired in the ceiling first then the speaker easily snaps in. The tweeters are aimable, so creating a large sweetspot is easy. And the grills are magnetically attached. Couldn't be happier!

These speakers are amazing, I read lots of reviews and went to my local Magnolia/Best Buy and listed to them but they really have exceeded expectations. At the store it is hard to really get a sense of just how clear and accurate these speakers are with all the store noise and the salesmen always wanting to just BLAST whatever song they happen to like. But I listen to a lot off Jazz and Trap/Electronic and it is crystal clear, not a hint of any distortion, I am driving mine with the SONOS Connect:AMP which is plenty of power and sounds amazing. I installed them myself and the way they install and the design is bordering on Apple product good, very very easy to install. It is this attention to design and quality that makes these B&W stand out, these are worth every penny. I bought 3 other speakers to run a few trials and pick the best one, I got a set of Polks, Boston Acoustics, and Yamahas. It was not even close, these B&W are in a different class than any of those. They're way easier to install, they are much better made, heavier, better soldering joints, better materials, better frame, and the sound clearly benefits from this better design and build quality. I built a pair of 3/4" MDF speaker enclosures that fit in-between the ceiling joists and then I lag bolted them in position then we drywalled the boxes into the ceiling and installed the speakers after drywall/paining. I think having a sealed enclosure really helps these speakers, my boxes were about 14" x 10" x 16" in size. I plan on installing more using the same combination with the SONOS connect/AMP.

The wife and I purchased a townhouse which was pre-wired with in-wall fronts and in-ceiling rears. The place came with Definitive Audio 6" speakers all around. I fired up my Marantz SR7007 with the Definitive Audios and the response was solid, but I felt it just wasn't complete. After exhaustive research I opted for the B&W CCM663 and CWM663 combo. A quick install of the B&W's and power-up of the Marantz told me my research had paid off, I was smiling from ear-to-ear. These produce the sound I was after. Incredibly crisp for music and spot on for home theater. I run multichannel for music (which is about 60% of my listening) and the CCM663s really add that extra detail required to complete the experience. Incredible range, I just close my eyes and marvel at what I am listening to. Worth every penny. Even the wife commented that the system sounds incredible.

I moved into my home 8 year's ago and had Paradigm floor speakers that were, for me, outstanding! But having 14' high ceilings and ceramic flooring, the sound bounced all over the house. Fortunately my dad has in ceiling speakers in his home and sound pretty good, so I found these BW speakers and am amazed at the quality of sound these little pricks put out. I have 3 for my surround sound and 2 Definitive for rear. A directional speaker in back is of no use in my opinion. The sound is as good as my $2,800 Paradigm speakers, or darn close. Over 7 years later they sound as good as the day they were installed, and we watch a lot of movies, sports, and music. They've been abused, like any good speaker should.

B&W has never failed me. Sound clarity/crispness is impeccable. Got in on these 2 days before the DEC $50.00 price increase. Running 4 for Dolby Atmos (5.1.4). The adjustable tweeter/EQ is ideal for direct sound placement. Worth every $.

I have never really been impressed by the sound of in ceiling speakers but these sound as good or better than a lot of bookshelf or floor standing speakers.

These speakers are fantastic. I was even impressed with the packaging. The mounting system is awesome. Every aspect of the speaker screams quality, but the sound is what counts. These really deliver. The speakers sound so full. They have great detail and clarity. I can't recommend these enough. Worth every penny.

I recently purchased these speakers after using Polk Audio for several years. I am very impressed with the sound quality and appearance of these speakers in the ceiling.

The Geek squad did me right. I wanted to outfit my new media room with a projector and sound system. Initially I was set on a Bose sound bar. My rep told me the sound was more important than the screen. I pulled the trigger on the B&W ceiling speakers and 8” subwoofer. OMG!!! WOW, I’m forever changed. B&W went light years beyond my expectation. The sound and base it truly unbelievable. Worth every nickel

Have had 4 of these in the ceiling for years (12) I just upgraded to AVR-30 and these really lit up. They have never sounded better.
