Having limited experience with Bowers & Wilkins, I was familiar with their reputation for high quality products. The PXs are indeed impressive both from a build quality and aesthetic perspective. Typically I don’t care for gold electronics, but the “soft gold” of these PXs is elegant; not gaudy/flashy. Even after extended wear these headphones remained comfortable with minimal pressure upon the ears. Overall, the sound quality of the PXs was well balanced. The bass is well represented but not overpowering. Classical music, Lorde, and selections from my digital music library were faithfully reproduced. A unique feature of the PXs is their incorporation of angled drivers and magnetic ear pads. The angled drivers purportedly direct sound more efficiently to the ear. Removable/replaceable earbuds would allow for replacements to be used due to heavy usage. While I did not push these to the absolute 22 hour max, I used these over the period of several days with no battery life issues. The included quilted carrying case is a nice touch, with the included cable allowing for wired listening if needed.

These headphones are amazing. Great value. My favourite part is that they have sensors inside of the headphones that pause and play your music based on whether they are on your ears. Lyft an ear cup and you will see what I mean. Comes with an app too. Totally download it

The build is nice. Feels like quality. The sensors are trash. Mine never work even when adjusted. The volume is not near as loud as it should be and the cabin pressure for the noise cancellation can cause headaches. Never charges to %100. Has major problems trying to connect to devises. For the price , its not worth it. The sound quality and material choice are strong. Great look and feel. They dropped the ball on every other detail. Exchanged 3 times and each time it has been a different issue.

I worked in magnolia before and love selling B&W speakers and audioquest cables. This headphone slightly dissapointed me. You can never really go loud without the next person hear what’re your listening to. I bought this primarily for the design. ANC is ok and not the best. App could add more features like equalizer. On/off button has a learning curve (ikr!) If you like a stylish headphone this is it, but sony/b&o/jbl has better headphones in terms of features/sound/etc.

sound - 5 stars. easily the best sounding pair of noise cancelling headphones i’ve heard (compared to Bose QC 35 I and II, Sony 1000x I and II, Beats Studio, and JBL 750NC.) for me, these feel extremely balanced, punchy, and full of life. fantastic highs and mids, not overly heavy on the low end (though low end is still very much present). i get the impression that this is the way the producer intended for the music to be heard. these have become my daily driver for during work listening. comfort - 4 stars. not uncomfortable by any means, but not certainly not as comfortable as the Bose QC 35. on par with the Sonys. noise cancelling - 4 stars. again, pretty good noise cancelling, but Bose and Sony are just a bit better. i hear a little bit of high pitched hiss - very faint but definitely audible when no music is playing. to be fair, this is present on the other headphones as well. just an artifact of ANC i suspect. also adjustable by mobile app, which is a nice touch. build quality - 5 stars. materials and build feel premium and robust. the magnetic ear cushions are a nice touch - easily replaceable if desired. design - 4 stars. would be an easy 5 stars for me, except that the physical buttons on the right cup are so easy to hit accidentally, taking the headphones on and off, where you would generally grab them. insanely frustrating until you get used to it. otherwise, fairly distinctive, attractive, and good fitting cans. battery life - 5 stars. on par with the other heavyweights in this category, rated at about 22 hours (or 33 in wired). one nit pick here - no ability to play these in passive mode, without charge. wear sensor - 3 stars. this is the only major flaw with these headphones in my opinion. everything else “negative” is very minor, to the point where i wouldn’t even call those things negative. the supposedly intelligent sensing technology frustrated me to the point where i had to disable it. i won’t go into all the features, but the automatic nature of how they work still needs a lot of work to become practical. portability - 3 stars. no hard case included, though the included soft case is quite nice, it simply won’t protect these when you’re on the go. also, they don’t fold down, any more than just rotating the cups. both the Bose and Sony heaphones do, and they also both include a hard case, which is nice when traveling. overall - 4 stars. as much as the sound quality deserves 5 stars and more, i personally have to deduct a star for the buggy software and design flaw in button placement. that being said, if sound quality is your number one qualifier in this category, there’s no comparison. these sound amazing.

Bought this to replace my beats3solo. Looks really good and the finishing/materials are superior compared to beats plastic. Drawbacks are that they make a popping/clicking sound every time I pause/resume playing and after a while it hurts in tour ears. Also had problems when answering my iphone using it on bluetooth, as it makes loud noises on the receiving side. The auto pause when removing from your head is also unpredictable, and makes the clicking/popping sounds everytime, which is pretty uncomfortable.

    Arguably the best

I've owned, at various times, the Sony MDR-1000X, Bose QC35, and Sennheiser Momentum Wireless (now HD1). And the B&W PX are now my favorite of the bunch. This is the best sound I've heard out of wireless headphones, listening paired to an iPhone 8 Plus streaming Tidal Hi-Fi. (It should, in theory, sound a little better with phones that support AptX and AptX HD codecs.) The noise cancelling isn't on par with Bose's or Sony's, but it's good enough to get the job done. And the ear pads give you a decent amount of isolation, even with NC turned off. The audio quality does seem to diminish with every extra degree of noise cancelling you add. I recommend leaving NC off when you can get away with it, and stick with the lower "Office" setting most other places. Only go to "City" or "Flight" when you have a lot of noise around you (you know, like in the city or on a flight). Kudos to Bowers & Wilkins for giving the user control over the degree of NC, rather than using an all-or-nothing system. The app is a nice companion, letting you adjust the degrees of noise cancellation and voice passthrough. It also has sensitivity controls for its on-ear activation feature, which auto-plays and auto-pauses music when put the cans on or take them off. Design is elegant: Like the Sennheisers, I love the PX's look and premium materials. They're very comfortable, roughly on par with the Sony 1000X and Bose QC35. If you fly all the time and noise cancelling is your top priority, then you're probably better off with the Sonys or perhaps Bose. But if NC is only one element of your listening experience, then I think you'll get the best wireless audio available from the PX.
