I tried over a dozen and this was my choice

For weeks I went from store to store trying out all the most popular over ear head phones that ranged from 200 to 500 dollars. On my initial week I purchased the very popular sony 1000xm3. I loved the features. Mostly the noise canceling which is the very best of all I tried. Second place was Bose QC 32 but it wasn't even close. But after 2 weeks of listening I just never felt like I quite liked the sound it produced for music. With hip hop it was good. But for instruments and vocals it just felt muddy and not quite crisp and clear. I thought it must be my ears since every review seems to brag about the sound of the sony 1000 xm3. So I had to see if it was me. Went to best buy and told one of the reps what I was feeling and he said I was not alone. He directed me to the back room where the vinyl records and audiophile headphones I had not yet seen were. There I saw Master and Dynamics, Sennheisers, and Bower and Wilkins. I tried them all, but the Bower and Wilkins PX stood above the rest when it came to sound. It wasn't even close. I heard music like I had never heard it before. The guitar plucks were so vivid and clear. The piano sounded like it was being played right in front of me. The vocals were so clear It felt as if i were at a live concert. I did not hesitate. Bought them right then and there and returned the Sonys. Since then i have discovered open back wired headphones and dac/amps. Which sound even better than my B&W px. But as far as Bluetooth headphones are concerned, nothing else I have tried even comes close. The leather on the PX is a premium leather. Which means it has a break in period. Very much like leather hiking boots which require being walked in for about a month before they are comfortable enough to hike in. So at first the leather may feel a bit stiff but it will eventually mold to your shape and become perfect. They also look awesome. Have gotten a few compliments on these. HIGHLY recommend.

I really wanted to buy a quality pair of headphones. Looked at all reviews and was torn between Bose, Sony and B&W. Ended up making a great decision with B&W - the sound is amazing. There is slight discomfort initially with tight fit on ears and top of head but with more wear, the fit is more comfortable. Make sure to break in headphones and leave on at for at least 20+ hours. The sound quality will dramatically improve including the bass.

I like the design, the combination of soft gold on blue ballistic nylon and the napa real leather ear cups. They are held by magnets ao they are so easy to clean and replace. Over-all, I love the 3 filter choicea for Active Noisr Cancellation. My choice ia Flight Mode because I travel a lot and this keeps me relaxed and calm. I love Bowers and Wilkins. Same sound system on my BMW 7-Series.

As you would expect from B&W in general and frankly any high end headphone set, the sound is excellent. Since the sound is likely the reason you are buying a set of this price I give it 4 stars and can say that I would buy them again. A few more positives, the battery life is quite good for a head set of this quality and even better the battery charges extremely fast. This is nice since the noise cancelling feature will drain your battery quite a bit faster if your using it and you may need to take a break to charge them. You can use them while they are charging or plugged in but frankly this is annoying and kind of goes against your having bought a wireless headset. It is nice that they have a jack in case you do want to use them with a non-bluetooth device. I did not think this would be a feature i would use but have already found it useful in two random cases, so its certainly a plus. The build quality seems to be excellent and the leather ear pad cups are quite soft and yet firm so that they seal nicely (except if you wear glasses, see below for more on this). The same goes for the head pad which seems to hold up nicely without putting too much strain on any single part of your head. That said they are quite heavy so i do find myself needing a break from them every so often, but this is really not an issue and i have worn them for about 4 hours without taking a break and been just fine. That said there are a few things that i am concerned with long term. First is that the leather while very soft has me a little concerned with long term durability. As something you will take on and off your head and the potential that you may sweat while wearing them in certainly environments (the headset does not cause you to sweat but if its hot and you are wearing them you will naturally sweat and that will naturally get on the leather parts) I do wonder how long the cups will stay as comfortable as they are. Also i have normal to small ears but if you have larger ears they may be uncomfortable. These are an over the ear headphone and with the goal that they seal on your head to keep the sound in and outside noise out and the set works great for that. But the speakers can sometimes be felt on my ears if i don't have the cups on just right and if my ears were larger i would likely not find the set very comfortable. The biggest flaw for me is that i wear glasses and prescription sun glasses when out side. This headset is not comfortable with glasses. The glasses will actually start to wear on the leather cups and i have already noticed that wear my glasses come out of the headphones is taking more toll. Lastly they are a little heavy and really seem to be designed around relaxing and sitting still while wearing. I tend to use them in a variety of situations, whether that is flying, car rides, or sitting with my kids and trying not to hear their movie or TV and for these purposes they work extremely well. However i also use them while active in either doing construction work around the house, chores, or just any active activity and for those they are less than perfect. The set is a little heavy and so they tend to move around on the head a bit. Not a big issues since you are probably not buying this headset for that but i certainly would not use these while going for a jog or anything of that nature. Overall they are awesome and i would buy them again, I do wish they worked better with glasses so that they could be used in more situations but that is a small trade off for keeping the integrity of the sound and noise cancelling functions at top performance.

Bought these even though I couldn't test them beforehand. Was not let down. These are hands down the most amazing sounding headphones, especially wireless noise-canceling ones. They do weigh a bit more than I would have hoped for, the Sonys are more comfortable in that regard. However I would not trade the comfortability for the audio quality in this circumstance, it's definitely better.

Best noise canceling but lacks bass. Found them good for jazz but not for EDM. Very finicky about fit. If not just right, the sound is off. Comfortable for extended wear. For best sound I suggest using the noise cancellation. Easy to connect to all my Bluetooth devices. I like that I can connect using a wire to headphone jack so I can use with my iPod classic.

It's a little bit heavier than other NC headphones (bose, sony). Good sound quality. I also have a B&W P5, but the sound feeling is a bit different. I think, the sound of P5 closes to the earbud, PX is more like a speaker. Sorry for the bad description here, but if you try both, you may feel what I am talking about. I cannot tell which one is better. I love both!

After owning these headphones for three monthes now, I believe that I have had time to make a qualified assessment. Let me start by saying that these headphones sound incredible. There is absolutely no question about that. I will not go on about the sound quality as that is not what compelled me to review this product, and others have covered this in much more depth than I could hope to. Also the noise cancellation is incredible as well. The reason I want to leave my two cents is because the price these cost, and the amount of time it took using them to draw my ultimate conclusion. My biggest gripe about these headphones is the comfort. These are not very comfortable headphones at all. They are heavy, they pinch your head, and they just do not stay in a comfortable position while wearing them. The band always seems to slide forward on my head. I bought these because I am a law student and spend countless hours reading everyday. I wanted headphones with amazing audio and noise cancellation to drown out the noise around me while reading. Unfortunately, after a few days, I quickly realized that the incredible audio comes at the hefty price of comfort. While I do love the sound quality and isolation that the noise cancellation provides, I always find myself a little excited to take them off and get them off my head. On perfect days I enjoy these headphones. But on difficult days, I just do not have the patients to put up with the discomfort of wearing these headphones. Even laying down attempting to fall asleep at night does not make these headphones any more comfortable. In sum, I would assert that these headphones sound amazing, and the noise cancellation rivals that of industry leaders. However, if you are particular about comfort in regards to headphones, I would probably try others, especially the B&O offerings. Had I not ran out of time to return these, (due to travel and my own complacency) I certainly would have. I gave these three stars even though they are some of the best sounding headphones I have ever tried because for the price, for them to be this uncomfortable, is in my opinion, borderline unacceptable.

To start the unboxing/ packaging was very well done. The headphones are well protected with a nice soft inner liner. The accessories and case are underneath. In the box you of course get the headphones, a USB cable charge, an audio jack cable, a nice carrying case, and the papers, guide, etc. The headphones themselves are very well made and classy looking. They have an adjustable band that just fit on my pretty large head at the max length. But this did not affect the comfort at all. The ear pads feel plush and you can barely feel them on after a couple minutes. They come in 2 colors. I have the soft gold and love the different look. Its the same soft gold look of some of the cell phones out there meaning its not bling all up in your face gold. Set up could not have been easier. Just turn them on, find the PX's in your devices Bluetooth settings, in my case my LG V30 and tap once to pair. These have different tones for verifying things unlike some that have audible voices. This isnt something that I prefer one way or the other, but just thought Id mention it. The buttons arent labeled, but within seconds you already know what they all do. Very standard. Volume up and down, the center button is multi-function, the on/off and the noise canceling button. The PX's have some very cool features that I havent seen on many headphones. The one I love the most is the auto pause function. They will auto pause and play as you take them on and off, and you can even just slightly lift one ear to temp pause if you need to hear someone or something else. This should be a standard feature in all headphones but isnt. So this is a huge plus IMO. And the 22 hour rated battery will get anyone through a day of even heavy usage. Sound on these is exactly what I said in the reviews title. “Just Right”. If your a bass head look elsewhere. That is not to say the bass is bad, it sounds perfect. Crisp highs and mids with clear vocals, and tight bass. And Ill take clear perfect sound over “Beats” any day, if you get my drift. The noise canceling is amazing as well. With a dedicated “environment filter” button it has 3 different settings. Flight, city, and office. And it works just like it should. Almost too good, several times I had to check on the sound coming from other things because it was working so well. The Bowers and Wilkins PX wireless headphones are top notch. They tick all the right boxes for what I look for, and one I didnt need but was glad it was there. Great build, classy look, perfect sound, all day battery, features that all headphones should have but dont, and the one Im glad is there but dont need which is the associated app. You can use this to control the noise canceling settings, and adjust other settings as well. I just didnt feel a need to use it. So in other words to sum it all up if you are shopping for headphones these should be at the top of your list.

I love these headphones. They sound awesome and seem to be very accurate. Love the fit. I had them on for a couple hours on my flight from San Francisco with no issues whatsoever. Its amazing how they know when you take them off and pause the tunes and then resume right where you left off when they are put back on! Amazing!!

The sound of the PX headphones is great and the aptx hd works well with my Activo CT10 but the power/bluetooth switch is rather hit or miss in turning the phones off and on, many times I've had to play with the switch 3 or more times to get the phones to turn off and sometimes on.

I LOVE these headphones. They do take some getting used to, but I've had a fantastic experience with them so far. Biggest complain is that some of the buttons are hard to operate one handed. When you want to pair with a new device, it can be difficult to set the headphones into pairing mode with one hand. The amount of force required to hold the button will make the ear cup rotate on your head and it is difficult to operate one handed. Yes I'm nitpicking, but all of my other headphones are easy to operate with one hand. But I don't mind it, it's not like that's a deal breaker. That all being said, they are expensive and you don't need to spend the money on these. I also have the Backbeat Pro 2 and love those and they're a lot cheaper. But these are stylish and comfortable and very well made and feel like they'll last forever. If you want some great headphones and want to stand out and can spend the money, these are a great buy.

LOVELY DESIGN & COMFORTABLE I wear these while writing my novel so I can zone out but still have the pass-through feature to hear my surroundings. I can be writing 6+ hours at a time and be totally okay with the weight and pressure these have after about 3 hours of use. Some headphones make my ears ache, but these don't. I love the connectivity ability between devices. I also appreciate the custom settings via the app. I see myself as a long term user. It's rare for headphones to make the OVE ONE YEAR 1 USE heavy wear test, but these did. Glad to have come across them. Quality sound clarity, good weight, sturdy build, and I haven't needed to replace any parts yet.
