Small head? Get B&W PX, not Sony 1000xm3

This review combines two perspectives: husband and wife. My use (husband) is pretty straight-forward: wanted superb audio on the plane and around the house when I can steal them from my wife. The sound is tight, transparent, detailed, accurate--no doubt you've read this elsewhere. The Sony's audio is too "roomy" or "airy" for me--sounds like there is a little too much atmosphere. The bass is a little sloppier in the 1000v3, but pretty good, overall. Sony's noise-cancelling is the BEST. Period. But the B&W is just below the 1000 and Bose QC35, and when you factor in the audio, I was sold. My wife's needs are different: she wanted noise cancelling but could care less about music. What? Seriously. She needs quietness in the house and office as she negotiates a doctoral program, but she wanted noise cancelling rather than noise isolating (earplugs). So she will use this with atmospheric white noise stuff--streams, rain, ocean--going on in the background. Frankly, the Sony 1000 mark 3 are better with noise cancelling. But my wife didn't like how MUCH they cancelled--like sucking the air out of a small room, she said. Sony makes the 1000v3 incredibly light and cushy, too, but they were too big. My petite wife is 5'0" with a small head, and the Sony set was drooping down on her. The PX clamps a little more, can handle a smaller head-height adjustment, and has a bigger ear cup (interior volume). For me, the audio freak, I was SOOOO happy when she decided that these PXs are a better fit. The Sony set has cool touch controls and all, and check all the "right" boxes, but dang it, the Bowers just sound incredible. So...I will be stealing them all I can. (And at least my wife is still smirking when I do it.)

Summary says it all. The sound quality puts it at the top for its price range but the noise cancelling could be better. Wearing them on the plane, I could still hear people talking in the row behind me. I'm not disappointed with my purchase because I was really in it for sound quality.

These were great sounding set of headphones. The noise cancellation was good. The problem I had with these were comfort for extended listening, they would start to hurt the top of my head and around the ear cushions. If it wasn’t for the comfort issue I have kept them, but I returned them. Meanwhile I’m still looking for another set.

Pros: 1. Easy to Setup 2. Intuitive to Use 3. Amazing Sound Cons: 1. Not very comfortable for extended use, ears get really hot post wearing for a couple of hours 2. While using as a headset, i could hear others clearly but they found my voice to be muffled (minor issue) Quality item, just not very comfortable to wear on long haul flights

These headphones can deliver exceptional highs with great mids and bass. Noise cancellation works very good, but sound does degrade slightly with the noise cancellation set to high. I prefer them with minimal noise cancellation to none, that’s when these headphones sound amazing, especially when you connect to a Hi-res player or DAC amp.

Sound almost as good as the p5 but worth the slight loss of sound quality to have noise canceling. Way better sound than Bose and Sony competition. It does have a little hot spot on the top of your head but it goes away in time. I’ve had these for almost 2 months. If you don’t need noise canceling the P5s are the best.

I've bought every in-ear & over-ear headphones because I haven't found one pair I've loved, until I bought these. You can't go wrong with Bowers & Wilkins speakers and they surly did not disappoint when it comes to these wireless headphones. The sound quality is amazing and they look absolutely stunning. They're worth every penny.

I really enjoyed the sound quality of these headphones however the pressure from the headband caused headaches after an hour of usage and eventually I had to get rid of it. If you don't suffer the same issues I had, you will love the sound quality!

After consulting two family members that are technical nerds with head-phones and after an exhaustive review of the specifications, the B&W headphones have a clarity and quality that is unsurpassed at this price. The options and control along with tech advancements make this an excellent purchase.

These headphones sound great, they connect great, love that it has a aux cable to plug in, it's awesome. The only thing that could be better and considered for their future headphones is the buttons, the buttons don't feel comfortable especially the pause/play/skip button.

These have great audio for the money ($200 or below) and are directly comparable to the Sennheiser Momentum 2. If you have more money ($300-400) and like how these headphones sound I would upgrade to the Bowers & Wilkins PX7.

I’ve been buying headphones and speakers from this brand for years and the quality of these headphones is no different. Can’t find a headphone on the market that has quite the same accuracy and frequency response as these do.

The Bowers and Wilkins PX headphones are a very good pair of headphones, offering both high quality sound and good noise cancelling. The build material is top notch as well. The app, allowing the user to customize the noise cancelling strength and usb c charging capabilities as also a plus.
