Nicely designed with light weight and comfort in mind. I useD these in a high noise environment All week and they were great, better than the PX and quietcomfort 35

Obviously high quality, but bassheads steer clear

The bass output is seriously lacking. Forgive me for this poor analogy... if you're someone that thinks the stock 6.5" door speakers in your car have enough bass you may like these. But if you're someone that maybe wants to add a 10" sub or more, then don't even bother. Everything above 300hz or so (mids & highs) is great. Imaging is good (most headphones are fine at that these days), low distortion. With ANC on, a limiter is added to the output so music wont be as loud on large peaks (bass). With ANC off it gets louder but not enough for a music enthusiast. Really disappointed with that aspect of these. Returning to the store. (Bowers, please don't reply to this saying to adjust EQ settings in the app. Adding boost at low frequencies is silly. We don't do that in car audio or home audio, we add a subwoofer. If the driver isn't capable of the output, that's just the reality of it.)

Amazing sound, amazing quality. Easy to use, loved the look and feel, case was super nice. So why a 3 star? Too tight on my ears, especially if you have piercings. After taking these off my ears were sore and ultimately I returned them.

I would consider myself an amateur audiophile. I can’t point out all of the nitty gritty details but I know great sound when I hear it - these have it. I use them at work with the pass through mode so that I can still hear my coworkers and it’s fantastic and they’re also great for chores at home! AND they’re beautiful in my opinion. Love the sound, love the look, great job B&W!

Absolutely awesome. Best sound available on a wireless headset at that price point. The noise cancellation works great with three different levels. They work best off of either iPhone or Samsung and if you can spring for it, a high sample rate music source. If using on a PC, plug it in. B&W is still working on their bluetooth connection. It works, but the sound is meh. Over all, buy it over Beats, AirMax or Sony.

Incredible. There are a whole nother level compared to the Bose QuietComforts and Beats Solos. I've tried them all and you can trust me when I say you compromise sound quality when you get those. The beats are too much treble, and the bose are too midrange. But these bowers wilkins are perfectly tuned. These have more tools and functions available to you, as well.

Build, sound, bass, comfort, case, features are #1

I'll make this brief, yet concise. Build beats Senn 3 due to no exposed wires; sound beats Sony 3 due to bass not being lost and bass not sounding muddy, neck and neck with Senn 3 with more bass; comfort beats Sony due to fabric not touching ear and driver's tilted, but doesn't beat Bose 700. As an aside, if you really want to feel clamping, compare these to the PX. Case is lovely grey tweedy fabric and very durable; as good as any. Features are great; no touch but very intuitive, and I love the pause when you move an earcup away from your ear. The only thing is I wish the right side could be gripped with fingertips to where one doesn't feel like a volume or pause setting might be changed; hard to find a good right ear grip spot. The Bose are the worst of the bunch; sound on them lacks punch. My preference is B &W PX 7, Sony Wh-1000XM3, Sony Momentum 3, and a distance fourth by the Bose NC 700's. B &W has the best customer service of all hands down. P.S. I got them on sale for $349.00, woo-hoo!

    ROI is poor

B&W clearly WAS a high-end headphone, but those days have passed. Now they live on their brand rep and push out barely decent headphones for nearly double the cost. The ROI is a giant negative, get something else much cheaper or spend a little bit more for studio series headphones. These are just lost in between.

Very happy with this purchase. Music is more natural than shaded. If you're looking for heavy bass, go fish. Noise cancelling isn't all that effective that I can tell, but I'm just using it at home. No hearing exhaustion that I've experienced with lesser quality cans. Bluetooth connections are quick and painless. While not inexpensive, wait until your birthday and use their 10% coupon.

Audiophile review; skip the PX7 and buy the PX5

I am an audiophile who was in search for the best sound quality in a bluetooth headphone; noise canceling ability was not part of the main criteria. After owning Sennheiser HD1 Momentum, Bowers & Wilkins PX7 - I got rid of both of them. Sennheiser is very good and sounds very very good for a Bluetooth headphone; but is was missing the joy of music. Then I tried the B&W PX7 for several days and I really wanted to like it - there is one main flaw with the PX7; something is awefully wrong with the treble tuning. I own Bowers & Wilkins 603, 606, HTM6 and 607 full size speakers & have listened to the 700 series speakers for a long time at a friend's house; so I am fully aware of B&W trademark sound signature. While attempting to reproduce the sound signature similar to their amazing full speakers; B&W mostly succeeded in the bass, mid bass and midrange frequencies; but something got really messed up in the treble regions - as also measured by rtings dot com. This particular issue basically makes the sound cheaper and not as crystal clear; it was truly disappointing and because this one important flaw I decided to return the PX7. Given B&W is known to produce exceptionally clear treble I had high expectations for the PX7 and it truly failed in the treble area and did not reproduce the signature B&W sound in the treble region; elsewhere it did excellent. I did want to give up on my search. Here comes PX5 to save the day. It reproduces the entire frequency range with the signature B&W sound with exceptional clarity; bass would score a solid A- ; midrange would score a solid A+; treble will score a solid A. Now I don't have to go my listening room to fire up the B&W 606s to enjoy the music. I can get almost 70% of the same wonderful sound with the PX5. Now that is a high compliment. Finally, for the noise canceling aspect & long time wear comfort I bought myself a Bose QC 35 II for those long flights. If you are in search of exceptional sound, skip the PX7, buy the PX5 and it will take you into true music bliss only Bowers & Wilkins can deliver. A true musical delight!!! Enjoy your PX5!

Headphones are great, I do prefer a little more bass everything else is crisp. A little over a year later the left headphone has a fuzzy noise so I will be sending them out for a replacement.

The best headphones I’ve ever owned. I wear them to workout, flying on planes and by the pool. They do bounce around if you’re running on an uneven terrain but treadmill running/ walking is perfectly fine. They are very comfortable on the top of the head and on the ears.

These sound very good on their own, but if you engage the noise cancellation the sound quality deteriorates. Thinner and somewhat hollow sounding. There’s also that weird air pressure thing that happens on planes, where I’ve used these a lot. They’re very handsome headphones, and solidly built. I think they’ll last for a long time. However, I don’t find them particularly comfortable and after a while I stopped using them in favor or something I can wear for longer periods. End of the day these are very nice headphones and if they’re comfortable on your head and ears, you’ll probably love them.
