Customers are saying

Customers express satisfaction with the BXT116 Treadmill's sturdiness, ease of assembly, and affordability. Many customers also appreciate the quiet operation, easy-to-use controls, and incline feature. Some customers find the treadmill to be heavy-duty and comparable to gym quality. However, a few customers have concerns about the Bluetooth connectivity, which is specifically designed for the app. Some users also find the app experience lacking and would like improvements. Additionally, the treadmill's large size makes it difficult to move around for some users, and a few customers would prefer a more precise distance display.

Excellent construction Very heavy, 280 lbs, 90 inch long box, make manipulating down narrow hallways and through a door difficult Assembly is straightforward Easy to operate Does not have latest electronic technology such as touch screen Large motor and rollers, 3 ply belt, basic electronics for good functionality Extremely sturdy, great stability, a pleasure to walk on Quiet, easy to use an iPad since there is no vibration Highly recommend

    Solid Treadmill!

I did a lot of research before finally picking the Bowflex treadmill. There seems to be 3 different types of treadmills after look at dozens of options: Treadmills priced sub $1000 are you home quality ones...definitely not as sturdy as the ones in the gym. Just your basic treadmill - I would look for one with as long of a warranty as possible (not just a long warranty on the frame and motor but electronics and other components). Then there are used gym treadmills (i.e. Precor) that typically go for around $2000 to $4000. These are refurbished by a 3rd party and then sold. These are solid machines built to last! However, they tend to be at least 4 or 5 years old and will not have the latest tech - connection to Apps for classes, etc. I like how solid they are but their tech is just too outdated. Also, I worry about the off chance they break down since they typically have very little or no warranty. And then we finally get to the sweet spot of treadmills. These range from $1200 to $2500 and are built with commercial quality components or specs (the rollers are bigger, the motor is bigger, the belt is 3 or 5 ply vs 1 ply, etc.). Within this range, the Bowflex seems to stand out from others based on the higher specs on its components and its longer than average warranty. So, I ordered the Bowflex - BXT116. I had Best Buy deliver it right into my garage. It took a good hour and a half to put together. This is a solid machine. After a week of testing it out...no squeaks and no rattles. The handles and console are definitely not as solid as a gym machine. However, the running platform seems well built. The only negative on the machine is the amount of time it takes to adjust the speed or incline. Be warned - it is very slow. There is also the JRNY App that connects to the machine. I have not tried that yet. However, there is also another App on the Android store - Explore the World. This App seamlessly connects to the treadmill via Bluetooth providing 6 free road course to run virtually (and another 40 paid courses). The App measures your distance, time, pace, heart rate, etc. and keeps a log within the App or sends it to other fitness Apps such as Strava. However, you still have to manually adjust the speed and incline on the treadmill (the App just takes it into account). Other treadmill in this price range may also feel similar - so the deciding factor may just be the Apps that are connected to the machine. JRNY seems to be one of the more affordable Apps out there - or you can just use the free Explore the World App (but will not have any of the classes). Overall very happy with it so far!

This is a fantastic treadmill. I got it online as a Black Friday deal. I had it delivered and I assembled it out of the box. Easy assembly, I would just have a friend help lift the heavy part out of the box. I was still able to do this myself. I’m 200 lbs and usually run about 3 times/week on it for 3 miles each time, set at around 7 mph (8:34 pace). The built in fan is a big plus. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that I wish there was an option to set the speed by pace/mile rather than just the mph speed. I also wish the distance displayed hundredths as opposed to just tenths (ex: it will show 2.8 miles run, but not 2.84). Also, I can’t figure out how to play music through the Bluetooth speakers. Overall, I really enjoy it and I would definitely buy it again.

I have used this treadmill a few times. it seems to work really good. I got it on sale for $1000. Setup was really easy. I do not like the instructions that came with it. There is a Bowflex video online that helps with assembly. With help of the video and the instructions provided with the treadmill, I was able to assemble it in about 1.5 hours. There are a few things I do not like about it. There is a delay of a few seconds when increasing or decreasing the speed. The treadmills I have used in the gym increase or decrease the speed very quickly. So if you are getting tired, you better reduce speed a little before you think you need to because of the delay. I suggest getting used messing around with the speed and incline before you actually try it for a workout so you can know what to expect from it and better understand the settings. I also do not like that the distance on my run is displayed at tenths of a mile. I would like it if it was about to display the ones place on my run. if I'm running and the display is .5, I do not know if I'm closer to .5, .55 or .6. I have not figured out how to use the bluetooth speakers. does not really bother me too much, I have bluetooth to other speakers in my garage I could use while streaming a movie on my iPad while I run. I got some really thick mats for the floor in my garage. This treadmill is sturdy and does not shake. I do not know if they would shake without the mats, but this set up works for me. I would recommend this item.

I've owned the Bowflex BXT116 treadmill one week. I know it's not a lot of time to own a piece of equipment. All I can say is so far, I just love it !! This truely is a beast weighing in at around 310 LBS with a 3.75 hp continuous drive electric motor. This is extremely stable and quiet. There is no vibration to speak of and it's a literal joy to use. I don't have to psych myself up to get on this. I want to use it and enjoy it immensely! It gives critical info that is easy to read and quick to change if need be. It's also very easy to program. The instructions are very straight forward and it is relatively easy to assemble. However, you may need two people to fully assemble the console and secure it into position. That can be a bit awkward, but I was able to do it with just one. It takes a moment to put together, but very reasonable and not difficult. Better with two people however. So far, I have nothing negative to say about this machine. It is fantastic! I bought it on the great $999 special that BB offered on BF! Thanks Best Buy!! But this is worth the price they have currenly set and then some. Totally worth the purchase! I usually don't rave about a product, but I am this one. I only hope it holds up and I don't see why it wouldn't. Very well engineered and constructed. Don't plan on moving it once it's together. You'll need at least two muscle guys to move it. I also love the fold up feature. It saves space and is very convenient. If you are hesitating, don't, this is a solid product and one that you will enjoy and use for years. Great Cardio fitness !! This is NOT a paid endorsement. This is an honest review from a very happy individual !!

So far so good. I bought this on the black friday sale. Its the only treadmill I could find that had a 3.75 hp motor under 1000 bucks. Its a continuous duty power motor too. So that's good. Everything seems to be decent quality. It is very heavy. It took me about an hour or so to fully assemble. Point of advice, you don't need a touch screen on your treadmill. Just get this and save a ton. I previously bought a proform pro 2000, but the delivery date was over a month out, so I cancelled it and got this instead. I'm glad I did. Stronger motor, and better price. At the end of the day, you are going to use it to jog/run. Not watch a video of someone jogging on a small screen. Incline feature works fine, wish it had a negative incline, but for the price, it will do. Very quiet, and we'll made. I am extremely happy with my new treadmill.

Ok so like a lot of folks here I got the special $999 price. This machine is easily worth twice that. I had major back surgery in October and my therapy is walking for now. That’s why I bought it. Not a runner although this machine looks like it can handle a pounding with no problems. Had a couple of friends move it to my master suite and my Wife, the amazing woman she is, did most of the assembly with me just tightening things and holding steady. I expect to use this every day and so far I’m loving it. Put my IPad on holder, headphones, and walk. It has a Bluetooth connection to an app, but couldn’t find it in Apple store. I think this model is a few years old so maybe they pulled the app? Not sure if it’s just me or anyone else had same issue. Not a big deal for me. If this thing goes on sale again I’d highly recommend you grab one as it’s a beast. That said not for small rooms or someone looking for a fold up under the bed tread. Can’t go wrong with Bowflex though IMO.

Great Treadmill, sturdy, inclines, solid workout up to 12 mph. Although it is super heavy and difficult to move. Also takes about 10 sec to speed up/ slow down and I wish it had more speed settings like 5 or 7. Sux to only have 3 and 6 and then you have to readjust the speed accordingly. Nonetheless it is a nice piece of equipment!

Great treadmill. I and my wife been using for a two months now: Pros: - sturdy. - track is long enough to run at a good pace - clear screen with multiple settings - no skipping or squeaking sounds - good customer support. I had a couple questions, and got response on the website chat with in 15 min. - pretty easy assembly Cons: - heavy. After delivery I had to ask my friend with his teen son to help carry treadmill to a spot I wanted (3 guys total). Plan for that. - so far I was not able to find an app that would work with it for free. The app they recommend is $20/month. - I had an interesting experience, where for the first 2-3 days it would trip an electrical breaker (15A) in the electrical panel, but after reset it would continue to work. It went away after 3 days.

We’ve only had it set-up for about two weeks but REALLY love it! It was a beast to carry in the house (my husband, 12 year old son and I did it though). But it’s definitely a solid build. The assembly was easy to follow and didn’t take too long. Can’t get it to connect Bluetooth to our phones for whatever reason but that was solved through a headphone/lightning connect so we’re able to use the speakers on it. And the fan is nice to have! I’d buy it again

Wow, am I glad I bought this treadmill! I was researching treadmills for weeks and really wanted a heavy-duty treadmill without having to pay for a subscription. I kept looking at this treadmill for weeks and kept seeing it go out of stock quickly. As soon as I saw it back in stock, I jumped on it and purchased it. Man am I glad I did! I am 6'2 235lbs, and this thing barely moves or makes noise when I'm jogging on it. You can easily see the strong build quality on this thing, which is what I really wanted. I love the screen and all the places for your phone, water, etc. I also love the tablet holder. I place my iPad on it, put on my Bluetooth headphones, and enjoy some tv or a movie while I get my workout in. I do wish that the front was a little taller, as I am tall and used to cheating on the treadmill at the gym and holding the top of the screen when doing high incline. The sidebars are the perfect height to hold on to when you're doing high incline. Here's a warning, this treadmill is large and is not easy to move around. Make sure you build it and place it somewhere where you don't have to move it as often. It does have wheels though and can be moved. If you're deciding to pick this up or have it delivered, get it delivered! The box is HUGE, as the whole base of the treadmill comes assembled already. They can deliver it to your house in the area you plan to assemble it. If you look at the Bowflex website, they are no longer selling this model. They are only selling a new one that focuses on a subscription. So most likely, there is a limited amount in stock. That being said, if you really want it and see it back in stock, BUY IT!

Much higher quality than I was anticipating, especially for the price. Set up was not difficult with two people. There is a short YouTube video that supplements the manual, which makes set up very straightforward. Usually I am not a fan of running on a treadmill, but I have enjoyed running on this one. The landing is soft with each step. I also really like that it has a small built in fan and an aux cord for my tablet. It folds up and down easily if needed. So far, I am very pleased with this purchase.

COVID-19 Purchase. Surprised that Best Buy carried fitness equipment, especially treadmills. Bought and delivered in one week. Pros: +Quick and Swift delivery by Best Buy Team +Easy to setup. Elected to forgo Best Buy assembling the treadmill and saved $200. Console/Stand is only part that requires assembly and can be done with one person. +Walking/Running Deck folds easily for increased room when not in-use. +Simple Console, Select Speed and Incline, Confirm and Go. Cons: -Bluetooth does not connect unless using the BOWFLEX JRNY APP. -JRNY APP requires a paid subscription to use (includes 2 month trial) -Power Cord a bit on the short side, even with treadmill right near the outlet. This treadmill is excellent if your running, on my previous treadmill (proform 505) when I would finish running my knees would hurt a bit. When I finish running on this treadmill my knees don’t hurt at all. Plus it’s a very quiet, does have a fan so that’s also another plus for me. So far I run 4 miles a day (2 in the morning 2 in the evening) and it’s been holding up fine haven’t had any problems. Would definitely recommend

Some being the four profile settings and my favorite the custom workout. I love the fact that it has a 15 incline. The ball is really easy to adjust if needed. This is a BEAST to put together but def possible. I was looking for a simple treadmill. This is pretty simple and straight forward to use. I love that I can use the manual option and just run. I didn't want the expensive subscription with trainers so this works for me. So far it's pretty quiet and sturdy, let's hope it stays that way.

Very heavy. Works great. Does take a bit to switch increase/decrease the speed but not long at all. We were not able to connect our phones directly to the bluetooth. You have to download the app with waa no longer in the app store. We found other apps that were compatible but still having a difficult time connecting those. We have up. You can se up multiple users and customize your workout.

I split this review into 3 categories, which are (1) Running (2) Ease of controls and (3) Digital capabilities (1) Running - I rate this a 5. Am very satisfied with the running performance, it's absorption and speed accuracy. I travel a lot and ran in many high end commercial treadmills and this compares to them. The BXT116 absorption is better in my experience, which is either good or bad. Good if you have sore knees and bad if you want a better feel of running in the road. The HP is more than enough and never lags, though I never ran its full speed cause I can't run that fast. (2) Ease of control - Rate this a 4. I only care about two controls when running as I always run using manual settings. The controls are (a) speed adjustment and (b) incline. It didn't earn a 5 because while both are nicely placed, the ramp up speed is slow. When I want to speed up from 6.5 to 7.5, or from 7.5 to 9 (miles per hour), my experience with other treadmills are better and the BXT116 is way slower, as if it's trying to minimize lawsuits in case someone falls. (3) Digital capabilities - I rate this a 3. The pre-program runs are maybe good for starters but for a treadmill as powerful as BXT116, it should be made to also cater for faster and longer runs. Heart rate sync with heart rate belt is accurate, and Bluetooth syncs to Zwft (my treadmill running app). I wanted to try JRNY but it wants me to provide a credit card albeit a two month free trial. It's a lure and catch in my opinion. In summary: 1) Very good running machine mechanically. One of the best I ever ran on. 2) Digital capabilities, controls and pre-program modes are lacking, and my guess is probably because Bowflex wants users to switch to JRNY.

It’s well built but I hate the buttons. The Nordictrack I had was so much more responsive and adjusted the speeds immediately. I hate that you have to hit the “Enter” button after you select a speed while running. The buttons are also thick and rubbery so you have to press them very hard to active them. I also do not like that it only shows the distance in 10ths, so you will never see a quarter mile, it will only display .2 or .3. Not the end of the world but I’m amazed that a treadmill that costs over $2k is missing some basic features that most other treadmills have especially from several years ago. I would not recommend this product based on the buttons, missing digital features, and how slowly the treadmill adjusts speeds.
