Some also found it unsuitable for vent mounting. The phone compatibility is also a concern for some users.

With so many different mounts on the market it can be had to make the right choice for your needs. This on is nice and simple, has a decent price and does what it is made for…holding your phone and not falling.

It does stay very well and it difficult to fit some phones. Also if you have certain cases and/or a pop-socket or attached similar item like pop-socket, it will not work too well.

Hi there Peter, thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you had some trouble getting the AutoGrip mount to hold your device in place. Please make sure you place the vent clips on the bottom-most vent bar so that it will be better supported at its base, this should ensure it does not fall. If you have further issues, please contact us at [email protected] and we would be happy to assist you! Thanks, Bracketron Support

This product did not work well with my phone. The feet on the bottom are too shallow, and my phone would routinely slide all the way through. After only a few days, on of the screws straight up fell out of one of the lower arms, rendering it totally useless. Returned as defective.

It’s cheap, but get what you pay for. It does not stay in ideal position, and it takes careful effort to get your phone in a secure position. It often slips out and knocks mount out of place

Not well suited for every vehicle, works for some

I bought this for use in my Volkswagen Golf after my previous clamp broke apart during use. It served its purpose until I could get a pricier clamp but did not stay very well.
The hook at the clamp of the arm was too narrow and the arm itself not long enough for my vent fins.
It did, however, work well enough in a Mazda SUV, once my new mount arrived for the VW. Fit the vent fins on that vehicle almost perfectly.

Product did not include the mount to ac for the product. Although the design felt great for the phone but there was not an actual piece to attach this product to the ac vent to keep this product to hold. Instead, it included nothing for the ac unit vent.

We purchased this while to work with a phone with an Otterbox case. The feet are too close together , unable to charge with phone sitting in holder. Ended up purchasing a different bent holder off of Amazon.
Works with phones with other cases

Works great, securely attaches to the vent on my car. The only downside is when there is not a phone in the holder it makes a rattling noise.

Mostly works, but doesn't grip the vent well and slips out occasionally. Don't recommend for a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee vent. Might work better in other cars.

Hi there Ryan, thanks for your review. I'd recommend placing the mount on your bottom-most vent bars, so that the mount can be supported at its base. This should prevent any shakiness and secure the mount to the vents so that it doesnt fall. If your issue persists, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we'd be happy to help you further. Thanks! Bracketron Support

I like the design of being able to drop the phone in easily. The problem with this mount is it isn't secure to the vent. The mount falls off at times.

I would not recommend this. First the part that extend down to hold the phone break. About two weeks later the part that goes in the vent stop closing tight. It’s completely break and I have had it a month. It was also hard to put my phone inside of it. Absolute no on the purchase.

This was purchased to enable use of an iPhone as a GPS unit in a rental car. It was challenging to get the unit to rest in a stable manner onto one of the vent levers of the car. Perhaps 2 or 3 attempts. But once accomplishe it worked well.

The mount moves on the vent when driving over rough roads and sometimes come off. The brackets don’t quite go around the Iphone 11 that we use with a case but holds the phone okay.

Does not fit phones with a Mophie case. I like how it would work and that is why I got it. I just put is aside as oh well i learned my lesson. Not worth even taking it back for a refund.

This phone holder is a good option for the discounted price I got it for. I wish that the bottom support would be a little wider to accommodate thicker cases and that the ball joint were a little stiffer so it wouldn't move as much but it functions as it should.
