Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the AutoGrip Clamp Mount's ease of use, reasonable price, compact size, and design. However, many customers reported issues with the mount's stability and ability to securely hold some phones, particularly smaller models or those with certain cases. Some also found it unsuitable for vent mounting. The phone compatibility is also a concern for some users.

My Favorite Hands-free holder for the car yet!

I really enjoy this Hands-free Phone mount. It's very easy to assemble. It attaches to the AC Vent which is padded so it doesn't scratch the vents up. It also has an over bite I guess I'd call it for an even better vent grip, plus because two arms expand when you set your phone into it, the phone is very secure, and allows for Portrait or landscape view. You can adjust the movement of the swivel to fit to your liking, and it leaves more than enough room to charge with your USB or attatch a 3.5mm AUX Cord. If you still feel it's not secure enough, it also goes an extra step by adding a cool sticky pad to the bass of the clamp where the attachment touches the outer edges of your AC Vent ( which you don't have to use, just leave the protective clear plastic on that's unnoticed because it's facing towards your Vent and hidden behind your phone 8<] )

I thought this would great - but at best it was just ok. It would get loose as soon as phone was added to it and there was always a fear that the whole thing will fall out of the vent!

With so many different mounts on the market it can be had to make the right choice for your needs. This on is nice and simple, has a decent price and does what it is made for…holding your phone and not falling.

It does stay very well and it difficult to fit some phones. Also if you have certain cases and/or a pop-socket or attached similar item like pop-socket, it will not work too well.

This product did not work well with my phone. The feet on the bottom are too shallow, and my phone would routinely slide all the way through. After only a few days, on of the screws straight up fell out of one of the lower arms, rendering it totally useless. Returned as defective.

Hi there Peter, thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear you had some trouble getting the AutoGrip mount to hold your device in place. Please make sure you place the vent clips on the bottom-most vent bar so that it will be better supported at its base, this should ensure it does not fall. If you have further issues, please contact us at [email protected] and we would be happy to assist you! Thanks, Bracketron Support Bracketron

Product did not include the mount to ac for the product. Although the design felt great for the phone but there was not an actual piece to attach this product to the ac vent to keep this product to hold. Instead, it included nothing for the ac unit vent.

It’s cheap, but get what you pay for. It does not stay in ideal position, and it takes careful effort to get your phone in a secure position. It often slips out and knocks mount out of place

I bought this for use in my Volkswagen Golf after my previous clamp broke apart during use. It served its purpose until I could get a pricier clamp but did not stay very well. The hook at the clamp of the arm was too narrow and the arm itself not long enough for my vent fins. It did, however, work well enough in a Mazda SUV, once my new mount arrived for the VW. Fit the vent fins on that vehicle almost perfectly.

I would not recommend this. First the part that extend down to hold the phone break. About two weeks later the part that goes in the vent stop closing tight. It’s completely break and I have had it a month. It was also hard to put my phone inside of it. Absolute no on the purchase.

We purchased this while to work with a phone with an Otterbox case. The feet are too close together , unable to charge with phone sitting in holder. Ended up purchasing a different bent holder off of Amazon. Works with phones with other cases

Mostly works, but doesn't grip the vent well and slips out occasionally. Don't recommend for a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee vent. Might work better in other cars.

Hi there Ryan, thanks for your review. I'd recommend placing the mount on your bottom-most vent bars, so that the mount can be supported at its base. This should prevent any shakiness and secure the mount to the vents so that it doesnt fall. If your issue persists, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we'd be happy to help you further. Thanks! Bracketron Support Bracketron

I like the design of being able to drop the phone in easily. The problem with this mount is it isn't secure to the vent. The mount falls off at times.

This was purchased to enable use of an iPhone as a GPS unit in a rental car. It was challenging to get the unit to rest in a stable manner onto one of the vent levers of the car. Perhaps 2 or 3 attempts. But once accomplishe it worked well.

The mount moves on the vent when driving over rough roads and sometimes come off. The brackets don’t quite go around the Iphone 11 that we use with a case but holds the phone okay.
