I was in a rush to buy a dash mount for an upcoming trip the very next morning and didn't have a lot of time to research, or the luxury of ordering one online. I had to go directly to Best Buy and browse their in-store selection which, IMO, was pretty sparse. I read all the packaging on them and couldn't decide. I wanted something simple, but sturdy, that wouldn't damage my dash, or drop my new iPhone 6s. This one was tossed on the bottom shelf along with some other clearance items and the packaging was taped back closed (guessing it was a return/resale). I was skeptical but with not a lot of options, I just went for it. This thing is SUPER easy to use and SUPER sturdy. I cleaned my dash off beforehand. You just twist it to suction it on, and twist it back to suction it off (and pull the release tab). That's pretty much it. I was able to mount it on a flat level area of my dash as well as reposition it closer to the front on a slight curve and it still stayed solid as a rock. (Can't go too curvy though, I tried that and it was too easy to pop off.) As for the size adjustment, piece of cake. Top slides up and down for phone height (small notch locks it in place), and the bottom edges swivel out to the sides (or inward) to adjust for width. I was able to adjust this even after it was already mounted, to make my phone nice and snug. I used it for my trip and it didn't move an inch. I was even able to press buttons on my phone while it was mounted and it didn't wiggle or come loose. I was also able to plug my car charger in while it was mounted which was a must. After my trip I removed the mount and stored in my center console. (I've read that leaving them out on the dash for extended periods of time, in the sun, etc. is not good for the mount, or your dash.) I just love how simple this is and that it doesn't take up any space at all or have too many moving parts or complicated adhesives. Just what I was looking for. It also came with a bonus USB adapter to charge your phone in the car. Side note: I'm noticing that the photo representation of this item doesn't look exactly like mine. I've attached a photo of my exact model.

So this works pretty well, unlike other stands with suction the holder basically dosen't move. Drove 3000+ miles on a road trip and had to put it back on once, probably because the elevation change had changed the pressure it was stuck to the dash with. It get's 4 stars for two reasons, with a case the iphone 5s which I have dosen't fit super snug. Still, it stays in for the most part. The final complaint is that the top part of the holder is very close to the power button, so sometimes getting the phone in their you end up turning off your screen. Minor complaints, so 4*'s it is.

I purchased an open box version even after reading a few negative reviews. For the price, it was worth a shot. I have no idea why someone wrote their phone won't fit. Is it their iPad?? My iPhone 5 in a big waterproof case is held just fine. The only time the mount has NOT stuck is when i pull on the phone without lifting the latch. I do have it mounted on a non-textured surface in front of the clock display on my Accord. Maybe it's different on a textured dash. I can probably guarantee it would work on the windshield just great as well. Love how I can tilt it back to plug power into bottom if needed. Very happy with this purchase.

For the price, this is an excellent project. I like how the size adjusts to fit my phone. I also like the fact that it sticks to my dashboard, and not just my window. The only downside is that when my car is very hot, sometimes I have trouble getting it to stick. But otherwise this product is great.

This is probably the best mount I've ever owned, let me tell you why: > The suction cup is super sticky and even sticks to those rough areas of your dash board without falling off. > Doesn't block any ports on the bottom of the phone. > Doesn't press any buttons on the side of the device. > Allows you to clip and unclip your phone with one hand. > Doesn't touch the edges of the screen (although i have a Samsung s7 edge) > Allows you to easily rotate your phone from portrait to landscape and vice versa while holding the device. The only drawback would be that it can't hold phones as large as the iphone 6s plus.

Very pleased with this holder. The suction cup works great and doesn't budge. Easy to adjust and position it to fit your device exactly how you want it held.

This is a really simple and easy to use stand. The mounting process is easy and secure. The dismount can be a little tricky because of how secure it is. Once it's in place is doesn't slip and slide. I have 2 phones one for work iPhone 5S and a Samsung Galaxy S5. Adjusting between phones is easy. You just press the release button and slide the arm. I've never had the phone slip out. I like it and would recommend it without hesitation.

I love this mount! It holds my phone very steady and mounts to the dash well. Unfortunately, I can't use it to mount to the windshield because the neck is too short for my phone to clear the angled glass. The grip is a suction cup that is slightly sticky which really helps it stay on whatever surface I put it on. The only thing to watch for with sticking it is to make sure the base is clean (this is most easily done with a little bit of water and gentle rubbing to remove particles)

I didn't want to use an adhesive, so a suction cup phone mount sounded like a good idea. It was great for awhile. It's very unobtrusive, it held my HTC Ten just fine. The set up was inconvenient for my phone since it either covered up my charging port or headphone port. Minor inconvenience and one I was willing to live with. Major gripe was the suction failed to work after I tried to move it from its original position to a more convenient one. It wouldn't attach after several attempts even after cleaning both the cup and the dash with water and air drying. If it had adhered after moving, I would highly recommend this but because it failed to hold my phone conveniently I cannot recommend this to others

I use this in my car so that I can talk on the phone, listen to music, and get gps hands-free. Very useful. The only problem was that I could not use it with my ipod because the top clip blocks the headphone jack. For phones it is awesome though.

This phone mount was recommended by the staff at Best Buy and met the need. Easy to install and works with essentially any size phone. So far, so good as far as staying fastened and in my opinion, is better than the vent attachmented mounts. The only down side is with a base the size of a silver dollar coin, you may be limited to where it can be installed.

We purchased this mount to hold my phone while using it with Google maps for travel. No mounts I looked at were better in terms of price and portability. Once we got it to stick because the dash was too cold initially, t has remained in place for 2 months. It is easy to put the phone in and to take the phone out but holds the phone securely.

This holds my iPhone SE just fine in my Prius. I wish it would hold the case, as well, but it does not. I am able to plug in my charger (not included). It was challenging figuring out how to make it stay on the dash, but once we found a flat part of the dash, it's stayed well. There is no glue or adhesive, it uses a suction cup-type design.

I love having my phone where I can easily see it without taking my eyes off the road. I've had it in my car for several weeks, and have had no problem with the suction. It has stayed on, and I use it every day. It is very easy to get my phone in and out by moving the bottom of the holder aside.

This item is very easy to use. Very sturdy after mounted to windshield. It's locking mechanism to mount/dismount to windshield is also easy to use. The only disappointment is that it's not compatible with the otter box phone case. Great product over all.

Fantastic cell phone holder for my Samsung Galaxy S5. Suction holds securely to dash or windsheild. Swivel positioning is excellent. Even with a protective case on the phone, it fits very securely in the adjustable, three prong holder. Great product.

This item seems to work very well. Very sturdy and fits most phones we have tried! Very easy to work!

I have a wallet-type case for my iPhone, so my phone doesn't fit too well in the mount due to the thickness of the case, but it holds it well enough. The mount itself stays very secure on my dashboard. All in all, I'm happy with this phone mount.

This product claims it will stick to almost any surface.. If by almost any, they meant any non-textured completely flat surface, then I would agree but in my Honda Civic, the dashboard is textured and curved so it only sticks to two possible places, luckily they are decent spots. It also doesn't hold well with hot temperatures (>85F). But I do like how easy it is to put my phone in and take it out.

I use this to mount my Samsung S7 edge in my car. It is a good snug fit and very flexible so that you can adjust it at the angle you want but it has fallen off of my windshield a few times (especially when it's hot outside) and I tried mounting it on top of my dashboard but it doesn't stay because of the soft vinyl texture. When it holds, it works fine.
