When I first received this to review, I was afraid of its size, as the box was huge. When I took it out of the box, it fit under my cabinet perfectly! I love the square, clean cut design, and love the fact that the carafe is protected in the casing. Set up was easy, I love the charcoal filter. I have not used the auto feature yet, but I feel that it will be awesome as well. It brews in an acceptable amount of time and stays hot, without burning and getting strong. The only thing so far that has been not perfect is, when the warming plate times out, you can't just turn it back on. Yes, sometimes we have coffee longer than two hours. This is not a game changer though. I seriously think when our trial runs out, I will be purchasing this unit

Actually... this is a very good coffee maker all around. We were just spoiled for many years by a vintage Braun 12-cup coffee maker (now deceased and discontinued) that fit well on our limited counter-top space.

This coffee maker is simple to use, not many bells and whistles, but it does it job. It's a work horse coffee maker!

This coffee maker makes great coffee, has a beautiful design, and is very sturdy. The only drawback is the carafe is very thin and broke the first week. Original replacements are no less that $28 which is too expensive for my taste.

Coffee tastes like mud and unit "cleaning"light came on almost immediately. - Hoping by ditching the permanent filter and going to paper filters it will help improve the taste and remove sedminent. Instruction are all but useless.

I needed a replacement for my Cuisinart Extreme Brew. We go through coffee makers because we brew a lot. Cuisinart charges $50 for replacement of equipment and that was unacceptable to me . So we looked for another company.....This Braun - BrewSense had good reviews, and Best Buy had a great price. It isn't as fast as Bunn or Cuisinart, but it's fine, and also has pause and pour feature. The flavor is very good. The carafe design is superior to Cuisinart and Bunn in my opinion. It's easy pouring with no drip. Haven;t had this long, but works great for the price.

The Braun coffee maker came out of the box and was easily setup with easy to understand instructions, an intuitive control panel and some really nice features for a low cost brewing pot.

Typically, most coffee makers in the $100 range are all about the same and pretty good. Not this one. There just isn't any flavor with this machine. It tastes like the water doesn't get hot enough and the warmer plate is what makes the coffee hot. It's just bland and flavorless. This reminds me of a $20 store brand, basket filter coffee maker. I would not recommend this coffee maker; you can find better. The AUTO ON is clumsier than most machines, too.
