It seems to work well, but I won’t really know for about 12 weeks, so this is just off of first impressions and that it didn’t negatively affect me while trying it. So, the first thing to know is that it isn’t for everyone. I took a picture of the instructions that show what tones it works for, I fit into one of the categories, but not all my hair, granted everywhere I actually want to laser remove hair fits the category so this works. I would suggest reading the instructions as doing something wrong can leave you in a little bit of pain from what I understand. First you want to wash, shave and dry; they even provide a shaver and one razor. They recommend doing a skin test first, I used my lower arm on the underside to see if I would have a bad reaction. Since I didn’t, I was good to go. There are two different methods the gliding and stamping. I mostly did the stamping. The directions say to not overlap your treatment areas, which worried me before I started trying it all as I know how hard it can be to align areas. I shouldn’t have worried at all, while I didn’t have a bad reaction, my skin felt… weird. I tried the gliding method on my chest at first but I found that the stamping method while taking longer worked better for me. I think the best part about this is my chest hair grows pretty fast which I don’t care about that much… except my kids would grab my shirt when I picked them up and would always pull my hair, so I had to start shaving as hair getting pulled is not the most pleasant feeling in the world. Overall, the cable is long enough to use easily and everything including the bag is high quality. I am happy overall with it so far and I think it’s working but only time will truly tell.

The Braun IPL Pro 7 Hair Removal system is a well designed and easy to use hair removal device. At first glance, you might think it is just an electric razor. It’s not until you take a closer look at the heads that you realize what it is. It feels well made and the power cord allows for plenty of room for use. It does use a power brick similar to what you might find on a PC. I’m sure the laser system is pretty power hungry and that’s the need for the slightly bulky power brick. But in use, it’s really not an issue. There really isn’t much for controls and that’s a good thing. Power button and a use button. It uses an intelligent light system to determine the power level needed. So it really is as simple as run it along your skin and zap the hair follicles. Keep in mind that you do need to shave the area first. It’s not going to zap away grown hair. It’s designed to attack the root of the follicles. Over time, the hair is reduced. It’s not completely permanent. You will need to continue the treatment. But with continuous use, the frequency of use will become less and less. A word of caution that really shouldn’t need to be said but I will, avoid looking at it when you zap! Even though the light is not facing you, the light it emits is so strong you won’t want to even be exposed to the light flashing from under it. It does get a little warm on the skin, but not overly hot. Being that it is designed to work over time I can’t really give a long term results review. But on the short term, it works as advertised and is an easy to use long term hair removal system that anyone can use.

The Braun IPL Pro 7 is a top-tier hair removal device that offers a long-term solution for both men and women seeking smoother skin with minimal effort. Designed with advanced IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology, this device targets hair at the root, reducing regrowth over time. It’s an ideal option for those tired of regular shaving, waxing, or salon treatments. The Braun IPL Pro 7 uses a skin tone sensor, which adjusts the intensity of the light pulses to suit your skin tone. The Braun IPL Pro 7 only work on people with light to medium skin tone with dark hair. If your hair is too light or your skin tone too dark the device will not work properly, and it will be an expensive paperweight for you. The Braun IPL Pro 7 delivers 400,000 flashes which should be more than enough to get lopng lasting results for the problem areas most people want to use IPl for (armpit, legs, bikini line). If you are new to IPL you can use the device’s gentle mode, or use gentle mode for sensitive areas. My wife has used at home IPL products and she was impressed by how simple and easy to use the Braun IPL Pro 7 was to use. She quickly tossed her old IPL device since it wasn’t as effective as the Braun IPL Pro 7. She is light skinned with dark blonde hair which is one reason IPL works very well for her, and this device has made her IPL routine much more efficient.

The Braun IPL Pro 7 may not do everything a professional salon does, but when used correctly then it can give you the similar results. This does however require you to stay on a schedule and use it properly. Be sure to read the reviews and read who this device is suitable for. Because it is not for everyone. There are also quite a but of areas you can not use it on, the biggest for me and probably others is Tattoos. You can for sure feel some pain when used on the areas that are tattooed, so just be careful. As for the the device itself, it comes in a nice carrying case with a QR code to get you set up with the app. The step by step instructions in the app make the set up and start of use very easy. It walks you through everything you need to do, and does a skin tone test to be sure you are suitable to use the device. The first time using the Braun IPL Pro 7 can be concerning. I did have a little pain sensation the first time using it. It has 3 strength settings and I was using the strongest one, should have started on 1 or 2. But after a few uses I was able to use the strongest setting and the results were amazing! I can noticeable see that the hairs are growing slower and i have to shave less then before I started using the device!

I was a little skeptical about the Braun IPL Pro 7 Hair Remover, but it has performed very well. The instructions recommend using it once a week for six weeks and then once a month after that. I have used it on my under arms 3 times and I can already see an obvious difference. There are visibly less hairs and they seem to be growing more slowly. It has been incredibly easy to use as well. There aren’t a ton of settings which makes the process simpler. I’ve used it on the highest setting each time, doing the stamping method and it only takes 5 minutes or so to complete both sides. While it does feel warm with each press of the button, there is no pain and no discomfort. Because it could cause damage to your eyes if it flashed in them, I greatly appreciate the safety feature of the hair remover not activating unless it is firmly pressed completely against your skin. The device itself is visually appealing and it is comfortable to hold in either hand. The carrying case is very sturdy and high quality as well.

Growing up, I was always considered "the hairy" one out of my group of friends. It never bothered me much, but as a lifeguard, it was hard to avoid the jokes. "Are you wearing sweatpants in the water?" or "Is it a full moon?" Harmless right? But subconsciously, even as a forty-year-old man, I have realized that I have "groomed" since high school. So many minutes have been spent trimming or shaving in areas I knew would be exposed at work. If you can relate to me, you know keeping up every few weeks is annoying. That's where the Braun IPL PRO 7 comes in - it allows me to get those areas where I want to shave consistently so I can go longer without worrying about it. I've never been to a professional, but my wife has explained how expensive it can be. I bet. Any service you need consistently is as costly as ever. These "at home" alternatives have become a much-desired solution. For $500, you get a proven solution from a brand that has excelled in grooming. Braun has been at it for a while now. The German company was founded in 1921! They engineer some great products. I have a few trimmers from them that have lasted longer than they have any right to. That's what we all want - quality and longevity. The IPL PRO 7 is built well. It has some heft to it, which I like because it feels built to last. Sometimes, the price of these devices doesn't match the product, but it does in this case. You get the Skin I ·expert IPL, charger, a Standard Cap, Wide Cape, Precision Cap, a Venus Razor, and a Storage Case to keep it all in. The case is excellent, too - you can tell it isn't an afterthought. They know that storing these devices must be accessible, and the case will keep everything together well. My wife and I have used it several times and can see where the areas we've worked on are getting easier to remove hair. The manual explains that results can be seen within three weeks of use. I wanted to wait until then to review this device. And it works well. I have some course hair, too, which I assumed would be difficult to get rid of, but I was surprised by how great of a job it does. If you have many tattoos, using this device will hurt your skin a bit. For example, if you have a sleeve and want to eliminate your arm hair, you'll have a bad time. It is listed in the manual as a warning, but I wish customers would be able to know that before purchasing. In my case, I have a few tattoos here and there, so it doesn't bother me too much. I have a script written on my arm that I noticed felt more sensitive than skin that wasn't tattooed. The "SMART SYSTEM" is interesting because it claims to learn with A.I. to adapt to your unique skin type. I'm not sure how to test this officially, but my wife and I have different skin types, and this thing works for both of us - so there must be some credence to the feature's ability. You may be intimidated by using it, but a built-in skin protector and UV filter adapt to skin tones. There shouldn't be too much of a "burning sensation," if any. It's gentle on the skin - even those sensitive areas like the neck. I have used it on my neck, where using razors can cause uncomfortable razor burns. I think the PRO 7 is something to consider if you're constantly maintaining your body hair. It works virtually everywhere you want it to work. And for $500, the value is there when considering that it's two or three sessions (maybe even less) at a professional.

I’ve been using the Braun IPL Pro 7 for about two weeks now, focusing mainly on the back of my neck and upper arms, and I thought I’d share my initial impressions. While it’s still too early to expect significant results, I’ve already started forming some opinions about the experience. To start with, the device itself feels well-designed and solid, which gave me confidence right away. Since I’m treating areas like the back of my neck, it did take some practice to find the right angles, but after a couple of tries, I got the hang of it. The upper arms are a lot easier to manage, so I’ve had no issues there. I really like that it has adjustable intensity levels, especially since the skin on the neck is more sensitive. I’ve been using a lower setting there and a higher one on my arms. In terms of comfort, I was expecting some discomfort, but it’s been relatively painless so far. There’s a slight warmth, and at higher intensity settings, there’s a mild stinging sensation, especially on the neck. However, it’s brief and totally manageable. On my upper arms, it just feels warm with no real discomfort. As for how long the treatments take, that seems to vary depending on the individual and their level of experience. At first, I found it a bit time-consuming, especially when trying to cover the back of my neck. It can take a little longer until you get used to it, but as I’ve gotten more familiar with the process, it’s been quicker. Right now, it takes me around 10 minutes for my upper arms and maybe 15 minutes for my neck. So in total, I spend about 25 minutes per session. I imagine as I get more efficient, I might be able to shave a few minutes off of that. For results, it’s still too soon to see anything dramatic, but I have noticed that the hair on my upper arms seems to be growing back a little slower. It’s not a huge difference yet, but it’s promising. I know the real results will take several more weeks of consistent use, so I’m trying to be patient and stick with it. One thing that has been a bit of a challenge is covering the back of my neck evenly. There are 3 different treatment window sizes you can swap out, but you still have to be careful to make sure I’m not missing any spots in areas like that. The upper arms are easier to treat, and I can move through that area a lot faster, but the neck requires a bit more precision and patience. Something else worth mentioning is the app. While my first thought was "why does this have an app" or "there's literally an app for everything", it's actually really useful. I recommend getting it, if for nothing else, because it allows you to add "sessions" and keeps track of when you have done them and you can setup reminders for when you can do your next one. This is very useful. Overall, I’m happy with my experience so far, even though I’m still in the early stages. I haven’t seen any major changes yet, but I do feel like there’s potential based on the slight improvements I’ve noticed with hair growth on my upper arms. The key seems to be consistency and patience, and I’m hopeful that sticking to the schedule will bring better results in the coming weeks. If you’re considering using the Braun IPL Pro 7 for areas you hate having to deal with so often, I think it's going to be worth the investment. Once you get the technique down, it’s pretty straightforward, but there’s definitely a bit of a learning curve, especially for trickier areas. I’ll update my review once I’ve used it longer, but so far, I’m feeling optimistic!

Even though I’ve only completed a couple treatments with the Braun IPL Pro 7, I can honestly say that I have already noticed an appreciable reduction in overall hair growth in treated areas, with absolutely zero discomfort or irritation thanks to the advanced technology that automatically adjusts treatment intensity based on skin tone and hair density. The Braun IPL Pro 7 comes with three treatment heads designed to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of each treatment and the included travel case ensures the device is protected and easily stored between treatments. The overall build is well designed, ergonomic, and durable. It has an estimated lifespan of over 400,000 pulses, which according to Braun should last 6 years when used per their guidelines. The Braun Skin I-expert app wirelessly connects to the device, providing step-by-step guidance for the duration of your treatment. The app also utilizes responsive intelligence to monitor and personalize your treatment plan according to your individual skin and hair type and condition. It also provides suggestions to improve your technique help you achieve the absolute best results from your treatments. Overall I would recommend the Braun IPL Pro 7 seeking a convenient long-term hair removal solution at home.

My wife has PCOS, so she has issues with dark facial hair that makes her uncomfortable and self-esteem issues. I saw this as a great way to help her control an issue that's plagued her for years. Me, I just have a few unsightly neck hairs needing control. My wife has done two treatments in the required timeframe for the review, and has had great success with it. Usually she has to do hair removal 3 or 4 times a week. On treatment 2, she's only had to do light touch-up removal. Hopefully by week 12, she'll only have to do a treatment once a month like some of the testimonials have stated. She's absolutely in love with the device. Gave her a good zap up front, but she got used to it and subsequent zaps weren't as bad for her. As for my neck hair and personal experience, it was mostly the same. Shaved the back of my neck, then a few zaps where I didn't want hair growth. Even in two treatments, the regrowth has been slower. It's a good chunk of change, but far cheaper than a clinic's laser removal. For my wife, if it continues to show promise as it has, this will be a godsend.

I am guessing that most users of the Braun IPL Pro 7 hair remover are women, but I’m a guy, so my experience might be a bit different. First of all, like almost all IPL hair removers, this Braun device only works on people with light to medium skin tone and dark brown or black hair. I have very dark brown hair and a medium skin tone, except for areas that get tan when I spend time in the sun. In this case, that’s not a problem because as my use of this IPL hair removal is on skin that doesn’t see the sun, so it’s very light. Just to clarify, I chose this to use as an alternative to a razor for “manscaping” my pubic area. Out of the box, the Braun IPL Pro 7 looks and feels nice. Like every other Braun product I’ve owned, it has a high-quality, well-made feel to it. I like that it comes with three different lens sizes that are easy to swap out as needed. Operation is simple – plug it in, press either button to turn it on, and then press the main button to activate is once it’s in contact with skin. As a safety, it has sensors and won’t activate the pulse light unless it’s in contact with skin. This means you can also use it in “tap” mode where you hold the button down continuously and then just lift on and off the skin. This “tapping” can be easier for working in tighter areas where it's not as easy to swipe it across the skin. The pulse light is very bright and can be seen around the edges of the lens even when pressed firmly against the skin. The instruction manual notes that it is not dangerous but does recommend looking away to avoid any discomfort from the bright light. Speaking of the manual, it is very well-written and user-friendly. I appreciate having a printed manual instead of having to download an electronic copy. The storage case has a nice flap on top for keeping the manual handy, although once you use the Braun IPL Pro 7 a time or two, you probably won’t need it. So does it work? Well, maybe. I have been using the Braun IPL Pro 7 nearly daily for about two weeks. I spend about 10 minutes using it, probably producing around 200 “flashes”. It has not totally killed all the hair I have treated with it, but it does seem that it might be slowing the growth or at least thinning the hair. I am still using a razor to shave daily, plus you must be clean-shaven before using the Braun IPL Pro 7. I would imagine that it can take a while to kill all hair follicles, so I will continue to use it. One other minor issue is the discomfort involved in using this device. It will cause a very hot, burning sensation at the point where it contacts skin. It’s short-lived, but as you drag it back and forth over the same area, it can make the skin very sensitive. It can also leave skin a bit red and irritate, but it goes away quickly and using a soothing lotion afterwards can help, too. There is a button to adjust intensity and lowering it can reduce discomfort, but also means less power output which requires more treatment. Overall, the Braun IPL Pro 7 is a quality appliance and easy to use. I am optimistic that with enough usage, it will inhibit hair growth as advertised.

DO Not Use on TATTOOS or dark brown/black skin

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

There are reasons the instructions tell you not to use on very dark skin and TATTOOS!! I’m a Laser Safety Officer and Laser Technician and Senior Tattoo Removal Tech. You CAN get darker skin types (look up Fitzpatrick skin typing system) AND tattoos treated by a professional- the reason is because it is a different type/color of light for each type of laser crystal. Also dont even try this like the person above did on a tattoo- some tattoo inks are low quality and may contain METALS in them and thus will spark/burn/fry your skin. You will not know whether your ink has metal in it until you hit it with a laser and burn the tar out of your skin. Hope i covered eveything I came to say. Good luck!
