Intuitive operation. Makes excellent coffee. Will buy another as a gift.

The Braun MultiServe coffeemaker was simple to unbox and set up. It was intuitive and easy to operate. The Quick Start Guide guides you through installation of the filter, and how to run a cycle of water, to flush the system. The coffeemaker provides a Bold option for coffee, for a stronger brew. You can also use it for hot water only (I.e., for hot tea). The hot water measured at 200 degrees F coming out of the dispenser. Once a carafe of coffee was brewed, it measured at 183 degrees F. The water tank had a convenient handle, making it easy to carry to the faucet for fill-up. I also have appreciate the many size options for brewing, ranging from 5 Oz to a full pot, accommodating various mug and traveler sized containers. The Braun provides a coffee scoop, which has two sides — a small and large — connected together. I was puzzled by the design, and found a single illustrative picture in the reference guide that indicated it can be used to fit over the corner of a bag of ground coffee. I did not find this to be a helpful tool, and, contrarily, created a design with crevices that catch the coffee grounds and are not easy to clean. My chief complaint is that the warming plate does not appear to have a consistent automatic shut-off. The reference guide indicates the warming plate will turn off automatically after two hours. However, in my experiences, it sometimes turned off after 90 minutes, sometimes remained on for more than three hours. It was not clear what may have created these differences. The only actions were to pull the carafe to pour coffee, and sometimes to use the Drip Stop function to do so. But neither of these actions should impact the warming plate timing, and I did not see any explanation in the reference guide. Other coffee pots have an override, allowing you to extend the warming plate time, but this does not seem to have that option. After discussing this issue with Braun customer service, they determined this to be a defective unit. They are shipping me a new replacement unit. Overall, the Braun MultiServe coffeemaker is a good unit and makes a good pot of coffee, while offering hot water options and a variety of brewing option sizes. I hope you enjoyed my review and it helped you in your purchasing decisions.

This is a very nice coffee maker easy to use for me and my wife.

Broke within 6 months of owning. Submitted warranty claim online and still have yet to hear anything.

I loved how this maker read; it had all the options we were looking for. But, within a few months, the digital display started failing so the numbers were hard to read. I let that pass but then the whole machine just stopped working after only 7 months. Terrible!!

Coffeemaker errors out with code 13 every morning and i am not making iced coffee, just hot coffee. This is a pain because it happens every morning and i have to empty carafe, fill back up with water, unplug init and wait do many minutes and try agsin.

This Braun coffee maker has a lot of great features. You can easily brew multiple sizes, from a full pot, down to a single cup. The coffee maker makes selecting the correct coffee ground amount, the amount of water and the desired size very easy to allow for these versatile sizes. The water reservoir for example shows ounces and also has pictures of what water level is needed for a full pot versus all the other sizes. You can however, fill the water to the highest level, and it will only use how much is needed for the size you select on the selector knob. The selector knob has easy to read visuals and oz.'s all the way from a full pot down to a 5 oz. individual cup. You can also select a brew strength or even iced coffee. Another nice feature is the ability to stop the flow (drip stop lever) of liquid, so you can pour a cup of coffee before it is done brewing. Although the brewing time, even on bold brew, seems to be fairly quick. You can use the coffee make to heat water only, and can even set the temperature. I deducted one star because I found it difficult at first to set the clock and the autorun (a nice feature though to have coffee be ready when you get up in the morning). The instructions were not clear and you have to hold the clock button for a few seconds to set the time. You also have to make sure the Autorun button stays on if you are using that feature. I selected it at night and the Autorun lit up, but went off right of way. Once you play with the clock and Autorun, and get used to it, it is okay. The other negative, is the scoop that comes with it. While the measurements are awesome - it comes with a large and small side that show you how much coffee to use for each level - I really wish there was a place on the coffee maker to hang the scoop! Overall, a great every day coffee maker that is versatile and functional.

I love Braun products and this one is another winner. Never cared for plastic Keurig pods and love that this coffee maker offers pot and single cup options using my own ground coffee.

NOT. Worth. The. Money. "Clean" button will lock the brew mechanism until the maker thinks it's done. Unable to brew for an hour. Unplugging won't clear it. Regret buying this at least twice a week.

This coffee maker has a ton of useful features but most importantly it brews an outstanding cup of coffee - rich, bold, smooth, no bitterness. Before mentioning the many features, I want to emphasize that to take advantage of all this coffee maker has to offer, the full instruction book that is included should be read cover to cover. Otherwise, as I initially did, you will miss out on using some settings or features that may enhance your coffee making experience. Features Included: + Instruction Book - Read It! + Water Hardness Setting - Three settings: Soft, Normal, Hard. + Altitude Setting - Five settings, from under 500 meters/1637 feet to over 2000 meters/6559 feet. + Charcoal Water Filter - Removes chlorine, odors, bad tastes. + Removable Water Reservoir - It can be filled up right under your kitchen sink faucet. + Programming Feature - To set the maker to turn on at a specific time. + Size Selector - A dial to choose 1 of 6 amounts to brew: 5 oz, 8 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz, 20 oz, half pot, full pot. + Single Serve Cup Holder - extends above the hot plate to hold a cup or mug. + Brew Modes - Light, Gold, Bold - for a milder or stronger brew. + Drip Stop Switch - To stop the brewing process. + Over Ice Brew Function - To make ice coffee + Hot Water Selection - To make hot water for tea. A guide is included with suggestions for water temperature based on tea type. There are 6 preset temperature settings to choose from. + A Cleaning Mode and Cleaning Alert LED - The Clean LED lights up when cleaning/descaling is needed. My wife and I prefer a stronger brew of coffee so we mostly used the Bold brew selection. The Gold selection is supposed to make the perfect cup of coffee according to the Specialty Coffee Association, with the right ratio of coffee and water, and water temperature automatically set by the machine, which the instruction book explains all. I tried it one time and to me, other than it being slightly less strong than the bold selection there isn't much difference. But I guess that's the point- according to some palettes slightly less strong than bold is supposedly perfect. Either way, I found the flavor of coffee to be outstanding. Besides the coffee maker and carafe, a two-sided scoop, 1 charcoal filter, and gold tone filter basket is included. Either the included basket or paper filters can be used. I used both and can't tell any difference in coffee taste. For the Gold brew, a paper filter is recommended. I give this coffee maker a 10 out of 10. It has all the functions and settings needed to make a great cup of coffee every time, and it looks good on my counter too.

Braun - MultiServe KF9150BK Drip Coffee maker. One thinks all Coffee makers are the same – I’m here to tell you they are not. Do you want great Coffee with a wide selection of controls, this is the one. You pick up a good grinder and some good coffee beans, and you will get a consistent coffee product every time. I thought I had a good coffee maker before but I guess that is all it was –“good”. This one makes great Coffee. It comes with a gold-tone filter basket and a replaceable charcoal filter that does its job in the water tank. It comes with a nice-looking glass carafe with an airtight lid to help keep that Coffee fresh for at least five hours. But here is part of the cool thing that allows for variety for dispensing your Coffee; it has a cup shelf for when you just want to brew a cup of Coffee. It works with a travel mug. It has seven different settings from 5 oz. To a full 10 cups. It also has a separate waterspout for hot water. If you have decided, you can’t wait the 8 minutes for your cup of Coffee you can just help yourself during the brewing process and the anti-drip system does its job. The machine has a freshness indicator display, so you know how long the brewed Coffee has been around. You can also use the clocks 24 hour timer to set up your coffee brewing when you would like. The BrewSense does its job after you have selected your taste level from Light to Gold to Bold and there is an Over Ice setting. This Coffee maker does some magic with science to automatically calculate the precise water flow, temperature and speed. The machine looks nice and has a high-quality build of stainless steel and molded plastic, with an easy to fill tank that can be removed for filling, or you can pour water into the top. The filter chamber is easy to access. Everything is readily displayed and easy to use. You even get a nice little scoop for measuring. You have another easy-to-use selector for Coffee dispensing, Drip Stop and Hot water. I really like this machine and have used it to produce different types and amounts of Coffee, even using the Over ice setting and my family likes the result. Best coffee machine we have had and we use it every day for a pot or a cup or a travel mug full.

Didn't work right out of the box. Error 21. Unpacked , added water, wouldn't work. Repacked and returned.

This coffee is really good........................

This is a nice coffee pot. It also knows that it is a coffee pot and doesn't try to be crazy fancy with features you'll never use. What's in the box: Not much more than you would expect. The coffee maker and glass carafe, charcoal water filter, as well as a permanent mesh coffee filter. Use: This is a fairly simple machine, with a few different settings that you might actually use.....mainly in the size of brew area. There is a dial in which you select how much coffee you want to make (anywhere from a single cup to a full carafe). If you use anything smaller than the carafe, you can flip down a holder for a cup so you don't have the splashing (as well as don't have the cup on the hot plate). Also available are a few different brew modes including gold and bold. I always use gold as it has a nice balance of taste. One thing different than I'm use to: The slider above the carafe that is the manual drip stop. I'm used to automatic drip stops, but those seem to always have a couple rouge drips. With this unit, after the brew cycle is done, you flip the switch over to drip stop. If you forget to do this you WILL get drips onto the hot plate, so you need to remember. But once you get used to needed to do this, you never get drips. It is a tradeoff, but once I remember to flip the switch, I have yet to have a drip onto the hot plate. Overall: I like this coffee maker. It is not crazy fancy, and it doesn't pretend to be what it's not. It does have a glass carafe vs. a thermal one, but you know that going into it. The brew cycle doesn't take too long, and being able to brew a cup at a time is nice in a pinch if you'd like.

The Braun - MultiServe Drip Coffee maker is great coffee maker that produces amazing coffee, is built well and has lots of versatility. Whether you want a full pot, single serve or even half a pot the Braun MultiServe will have you covered. So far this coffee maker has been really great and we haven't had any issues with it thus far. It's really nice how easy it is to remove the reservoir to refill. We've used many different kinds of coffee machines and none were as easy and mess-free as this Braun! The MultiServe is easy to use. You get quite a bit of versatility with it and making adjustments is as easy as turning a dial. The machine is also fairly quick at brewing a full carafe of coffee. They say you can brew a full 10 cups in about 8 minutes and those are the results I have seen as well. One thing to get used to is switching the lever to stop the drips. I tend to get impatient and want a few ounces before it actually finishes brewing, and I always forget to move the lever to "drip stop" and coffee gets on the burner. Certainly not an issue just a matter of retraining the brain. Another recommendation I have is to use a paper filter to reduce sediment rather than the reusable filter that is included. Also, use filtered or RO water. You'd be surprised the difference in taste when using filtered versus tap water. Overall, this is an excellent coffee maker and if you love good-tasting coffee you should definitely consider this Braun MultiServe!

I needed a new coffee maker for my office, and when I received this Braun - MultiServe, boy was I impressed. It is BEAUTIFULLY made, the black and stainless steel complement one another and it looks great. First off, I am a stickler for how a product is packaged, my thinking is if a company takes the time, effort and money to package their product, then the majority of the time the product will be well worth the money to purchase it. Braun does an awesome job w/ packaging this coffee maker. It comes in a well designed and eye catching box. And the machine is very well protected. In fact, when I saw this on my front porch, my first though was, “I hope that is not the coffee maker, because the outer cardboard box had excessive shipping damage. But the matching was not damaged in any way. THANKS Braun. I love coffee, I drink it practically all day, and the thing I really like about the Braun is that it really keeps the coffee in the carafe really warm/hot. BUT, if I know that I’m going to be in and out of the office, instead of making a full pot, Braun makes it so easy, w/ having seven brewing sizes. It even has a feature to brew over ice. The Braun MultiServe is also very easy to set up and use. Everything is easy to access and easy to fill w/ water and the coffee. I am very well pleased w/ this coffee maker, if you are in the market for a exceptionally made coffee maker that is simple to use. Go w/ the Braun!

First thing first: As savvy as I am with computer and other computer like devices, I have a slight learning curve setting up this coffee maker initially. I usually ignore the guide manual and start setting up things that I buy without reading it. Boy, I had to read the instruction several times to make sure I get this set correctly. And even though everything is set up now, I will keep the manual just in case I need a guideline when I am making coffee with different cup/mug size or brewing water and making tea. Another gripe that I have about this coffee is the size of the pot. I have had many coffee machines and most, if not all, have a 12 cup of pot. This one only has 10 cups. And if you are using the carafe to measure the water, you won’t get the full 10 cups because of water condensation. However, when we put a little bit more than 10 cup in the reservoir, the machine somehow will only brew exactly the 10 cups water – leaving a bit of water in the reservoir which resulted in a coffee less than 10 cups. So hopefully you don’t need to brew more than 10 cups daily, like our household. Let’s move on to the good stuffs. I love that this machine has 7 different brewing sizes to choose from. Of course you can always use a regular coffee maker to brew any size you want as long as within 10 or 12 cups. But having the option to brew the coffee directly into the cup or mug of your choice (16 or 20 oz mug) is convenient because then you will not have to throw away any leftover – if there is any. And this thing brews the coffee really fast. And not just coffee. It will also brew a hot water. For someone who loves tea, this is a very useful feature. There is a guide in the manual of what temperature of water to use to brew different kind of teas. I have not tried all the settings, but the one I tried made a good enough cup of tea. Another advantage of this coffee machine is the fact that the reservoir has a filter that you can easily remove. You have the option not using the filter but drinking filtered water makes the coffee taste better. And if you are in an area where water filtering is important, this additional feature can be useful. In the end, if filter and the ability to brew different size of coffee are important, then this machine could be for you. If not, then you are better off with just a regular coffee machine.

First off, this coffee maker looks good in any kitchen. It has the perfect blend of black trim with stainless steel and the fluorescent green accents make it stand out. As far as operation, everything has been positive so far. Set up was very easy. Some of the great features include, the ability to select how much coffee you want it to brew. You can make a 10 cup pot, or go down to a single serving with the ability to raise and lower the shelf so no splashing etc. Also, the ability to choose three different levels of strength is a great feature. It even has an over ice feature. You can use the what I call forever filter or you may use paper to suit your preference. Of course it has auto start so you can program the brew cycle at your convenience. If tea is your choice you can select varying temperatures and have the machine dispense hot water only. Bottom of the base has a red indicator light to let you know the surface is hot/keeping the base warm. Highly recommend following the setup instructions prior to making your first cup/cups of coffee. This was a definately an upgrade from my previous modle. This unit I absolutely recommend.

Looks nice on the counter top, but it did not work at all. Somehow could not get water out of it’s own reservoir. Back to the store.

This coffee pot is very stylish. When I first went to set if up it was just a little bit difficult. You would think every coffee pot is straightforward but this one tool a little bit longer basically because it it a little more advanced in the buttons, I like this coffee pot because of the versatility to be able to control the strength and also control the amount that you need to make. It is great to be able to make one cup or even a whole pot. One of the things I like is the fact that you done need filters. Like any other coffee pot, you just need to make sure you are cleaning the filleted well. I did have a problem setting it for automatic brew for ink the morning. It seemed like the button shut off in the middle of the night so I had to manually start it. Overall it is a great coffee pot. The coffee is extremely hot which makes it great to put in a mug and drink all day at work. All of the features it has I am sure any coffee drinker would enjoy this pot. You can’t go wrong with this coffee pot.
