The new foil is great!

It gets it down to baby smooth skin every time without any irritation. Getting a new foil every 12-18 months will help keep a great shave. Better than buying razors every week or month.

I didn’t really feel like replacing it because it’s quite expensive. But it was on sale, so I decided to get it. It’s so much sharper and I honestly did not expect such a difference.

Awesome shaver, and awesome replacement head

Regarding length of of time before new blades are needed, I think the base station, used to clean daily and charge, helps allot. And the price not crazy like some other quality razors.
