Hasnt knicked and is a good shave. Easy to understand base cleaning system.

I have used Braun electric shavers for almost the last 20 years. I first owed the Syncro System 7680, which I loved. It lasted me over 10 years. Finally its battery wouldn't hold a charge and I moved on to the Series 7 wet/dry. It lasted me about 2 years, but it just stopped working. I decided to upgrade to the Series 9. I wanted to love it, but I can't say there is much I even like about it. 1)The design is worse than the previous models. You load the alcohol wash from the back, which isn't a big deal, but the previous models you just popped it in from the front and didn't need to move the base. In order to load it from the back, you have to pick up the whole system and turn it around. As I said, not a big deal, it is just annoying and was much better before. 2) The previous units let you know if it needs to be washed, how much detergent was left, etc with a light next to a description of the status. It was simple. The series 9 tries to make it too clean and removed all of the descriptions so basically you have to figure out the status of the shaver by blinking lights. 3) My particular unit doesn't charge in the base anymore. The shaver slides down in the base so the charging connectors don't connect. I have to hold it up at the right ankle in order to have it charge in the base. I can see this happening after a long period, but this started after about a year of use. 4) The worst part of all - the replaceable shaving heads don't last. I have gone through 5 in the past year. The last one lasted me 2 weeks. The screens that cover the blades break very easily. I attached a few pictures. On one side the screen completely broke apart and fell off. On the other side the screen cracked. The replacement heads are expensive. At the rate I am replacing them, it would be cheaper for me to purchase a new series 9 shaver every year. That is ridiculous. The quality is very poor. I have since moved on to using a Panasonic Arc5 razor and have been very happy with it.

Love this shaver. It is super quite. It was easy to setup.

Great shaver. Beats the handheld shaver by a mile. Have to shave everyday for work so bought this thinking I’d be able to get away from shaving for a day, although it does get closer to the skin than normal shaver, still have to shave daily. Much faster and more convenient! Let’s see how I feel a year from now!

had the origal series 7 but this series 9 is even better...a great shave, everything about is superior

Bought to replace Phillips Norelco. Wet and dry. Very close shave with wet shaving using shaving gel. Sleek looking. Convenient for travel. Great charge time.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my Dad. He has very sensitive skin, and only shaved once a week with a regular razor to prevent irritation. I received a text from him that he's been using it every day, and his face hasn't looked better in years. No redness, ingrowns or cuts. It's well worth the price.

This is an excellent upgrade from my 8700 series. Great battery life. Smooth shave. Included a handy and compact travel case.

I never had a electric shaver before so I had no idea what to expect. So, I give it some time before writing this review. This shaver is very stylish and I like that the blades can stay clean and usuable compared to my old razor. The old razor (a store brand but I also had Gillette which gave the closet shave) would not last as long and also cut my skin if not careful. This shaver has not come close to that as much as I tried! My only thing was the method of shaving. I have to pretend that I am painting. I have to do small back and forth strokes wihich can make the experience slower. However, I tend not have too much of an issue with this because now I use the shaver sometimes twice a day. The experience of not being worried and the smooth feeling afterwards compels me to shave more.

I have been using BRAUN shavers for several years now. It’s a great product and it does what it says. Gives me a close shave every time.

Overall this Braun 9 is the best Braun shaver I have owned. It gives a great shave and is easy to clean. I have not tried it wet.

My Braun Series 9 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver is quality made. It gives an excellent shave, easy to hold and easy to clean.

I wanted a simple to use shaver, not a whole system. It is very possible that this razor is so much better than other models, but what the product info was clear about is that this requires a lot of real estate on the counter for a cleaning unit and charger and it also requires consumable purchases of more cleaner. I wanted a razor that I could hide in a drawer or throw in an overnight bag. This is for someone who wants a whole system for show on the bathroom counter.

I’ve had this for a while now and still love it. I switch back to my basic razor at times because it can be rough on face but works amazing and the self clean is a must

It's nice using a shaver that cuts close without having to go over the same area multiple times. It's also light weight and comes with a nice carrying case if you have to go away overnight.

Best Shaver to own if you rock a baldie. Whether you prefer a dry or wet shaver, this electric shaver gets the job done swiftly. It doesn't matter on the hair texture, it glides very well and accesses all the hard to reach places with ease and effectiveness.

I have never had an electric razor that gave me a close enough shave. This provides a close shave without irritating my skin. Although it is expensive, it is worth the investment.
