Customers regard the Series 9 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver highly for its excellent shaving quality, ease of use, and long battery life. The cleaning station and quieter operation are also frequently praised. However, some customers find the price to be a drawback, and a few have noted that the trimmer and size could be improved. Overall, positive feedback on shaving performance and convenience outweighs concerns about cost and minor design elements.

This (the Braun Series 9) has been a great introduction to electric shavers. I switched to this after decades of shaving with double-edge razors (i.e. "safety" razors, as opposed to cartridge razors).
I looked through a bunch of reviews (both 'professional' reviews and reviews on sites like BestBuy) and it was a tossup between the Braun Series 9 and one of the Panasonics. I chose this one because the shaving head seemed smaller, and because the reviews generally tended to give the Braun a bit of an edge in comfort, and my biggest concern was comfort.
I'm really happy with this thing. My face has never felt irritated, the shaver is easy to clean, and shaving with an electric is quite a bit faster than a normal razor.

Almost as Good as Traditional Razor.

I've never been a huge fan of electric razors and have used traditional blades for the past 10 years. Decided to try this and I was very impressed with the shave. It's almost as close and takes about half the time. No razor burn if you make sure to use minimal pressure and go against the grain. Occasionally a stubborn hair will require some extra passes and causes very minor skin irritation but even then it's less irritating than a regular razor. I also tried the top of the line Norelco and found this to be a lot better for me. The charging and cleaning station is nice but not a necessity. Also it's battery lasts long enough for at least 6-8 shaves and it charges pretty quickly.

I’ve always been a Norelco user, but reviews of this razor were quite good. Tried the Braun on sale. I think I get the best, closest shaves ever with this one. Not sure about all the fussing with cleaning tanks etc. Seems a bit much.
Definitely, too pricey (IMO), especially the latest version with titanium heads.

Fantastic for those of us who are more folically challenged, the shaver cuts razor smooth and cleans itself easily!
I've struggled to find a quality shaver for my head for years until coming across this one. I use it everyday and have yet to have an issue with it. The head pops off to remove the hair remains, and has enough battery life to last over a week when on vacation.
I'd buy it all over again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a high quality shaver.

Not Enough O's in Smooth!

Have had a few other electric shavers over the years after giving up blades. The brand I was using was ok, but was never truly happy with the results and the burn they left.
The Braun is the Mercedes of Shaving, smooth and so very easy on the face. Have not resorted to after shave to rid the burn once as there is no burn or irritation.
Not too noisy, easy in the hand and there are not enough O's in smooth for this shaving experience.
Love the operation and all features. The self cleaning system is techie and an absolute plus to the system. Everyday start shaving with a clean, lubricated fine smelling shaver.
Does not get any better. Pricey, yes. But it is one of the first things I experience every morning and it has been a sheer pleasure the last month.

Braun Series 9-The Best Way!

I usually use a rotary razor but wanted a razor that gave a closer, smoother shave. The Braun Series 9 fills the order. It is a great razor that performs excellent. The cleaning station does a great job. The only negative is the razor is a little loud but quieter than other foil razors. Great quality and construction-glad I bought it!

Although it is a bit pricey, it is a really good shaver. It has not been irritating to my sometimes sensitive face. It is not too loud and simple to keep clean. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

After having the Panasonic Arc 5 I switched to this Braun, and it really is the best electric shaver there is. Very close shave, not cuts, easy and fast to clean, and great battery life.
It's only downside is the side flip up trimmer is a bad design so is not really usable.

This is the 3rd Braun shaver I have owned. My previous Series 5 lasted over 8 years. I had to replace it as after 15 minutes of shaving with it, my face was still very scruffy. I had replaced the head a few times over the years. My new Series 9 provides me with a very smooth, close shave. This shave is well worth the money spent. I also really like cleaning module. It makes keeping the shave clean a breeze! I would definetly recommend the Braun Series 9 shaver!!!

I wanted the best wet or dry shaver and I believe this is it. I can't compare it to the 7 series but the comparisons I read led me to my purchase. the 7 may be a better value but it's a personal choice. My 9 series works great dry and it's pretty magical with shaving gel. It's incredibly fast and cool and shaves very close without irritation. It auto cleans and charges quickly. My only negatives would be the led status lights could be more informative and I would have preferred satin nickel or satin black finish. Chrome is a little garish for my tastes. I think it makes the product look a little cheap but you get used to it. The clean and charge system is awesome and this latest generation works very well. I've loved clean and charge since my 5xxx shaver which I had for about 12 years before it died. I really appreciate that the refills haven't been replaced over the years so the ones I had leftover could still be used. I'm very happy with this product.

This razor may be a little pricey but it’s worth it. I’ve had older Braun’s which were great and most recently a Panasonic which was also good but this new 9 series surpasses them all. Quiet, comfortable to use and a very close shave.

The best electric shaver I’ve ever used

This is hands down the best electric shaver I’ve ever used. From comfort to grip, to how finely it can give you that perfect trim without the hassle. It works both wet and dry, comes with a cleaning system along with one set of cleaner. It’s easy, effortless to use. Has a simple fast charge process that charges faster than any other I’ve seen. It also has an LED battery indicator on the actual shaver itself. It will blink and show when charging as well.
In comparison to other shavers I’ve previously had, they don’t come close to the shave.
I’d highly recommend this or the brain series 7 as a slightly cheaper alternative. The titanium blades in this make it a worthy upgrade as well as the wet/dry feature you’ll find yourself enjoying much more than the 7 series.

This electric razor has given a closer shave than the Mach3 razors I had used for years. I shave everyday, my face is so smooth I can't help feeling my face through out day to look for stubble. It's amazing, I didn't expect this closeness from an electric razor.
I bought this because I was tired of the manual razors nicking my face periodically. After reading multiple reviews I was torn between this Braun 9 series and the Panasonic ARC5. The Braun was in store so no waiting; decision made. BTW, this razor was used for 12 days while traveling and I never needed to charge it. The charger/cleaner does a fantastic job at cleaning and oiling the razor. It's nice knowing that every morning my razor has been thoroughly cleaned and ready for use with little effort on my part.

Best Shaver to own if you rock a baldie. Whether you prefer a dry or wet shaver, this electric shaver gets the job done swiftly. It doesn't matter on the hair texture, it glides very well and accesses all the hard to reach places with ease and effectiveness.

Great product. Easy to use. Close shave and comfortable shave. I would highly recommend. I always used a single edge shaver and will continue to use, at times. But when I don’t feel like or have the time to lather etc.. I use this shaver. Love it

My last 2 razors were the rotary types, a Norelco & a Panasonic. The Norelco I had for many many years until the non-serviceable battery died. The Panasonic lasted around 3 years and something broke on the shaving head, so rather than replace the blades/heads, I bought a new razor.
I've been wanting to try a foil razor for a long time and have been very happy with the Braun Series 9 so far. I'm a daily shaver but sometimes might go 3 or 4 days without a shave. I used to dread shaving after missing a shave for 3 or 4 days because all of my rotary shavers would tug and pull at the hairs, particularly around the nose. Comparatively the Braun is comfortable, pain free and fast even on a few days of stubble. The shave is close and tends to miss a lot less on the first pass than my old razors.
After a month of use, my complaint would be that the cleaning is pretty loud. Loud enough that I don't run it before going to work if my spouse is sleeping. Additionally, I have no idea how often I am supposed to run the cleaner. Granted, I did't read the manual but I don't really find the lights on the cleaning unit or shaver very intuitive. My concern is using up the cleaning cartridge faster than I really need to.

I do have to say I like this razor for it’s close shave and a little lighter than the older 700 series. And works great in shower too. Holds a good long charge. Only thing I think could have been done better, was the location of the on off button. The grip has the button under my thumb and I have to remind myself not to press it to turn it off. Just need to get used to it. A bit pricy but we shall see if it’s worth it !
