I had the series 3 for years, it was the closest, best shave of all the razors I tried. I dropped it on a hard floor and broke something inside so I read the reviews of the series 9 and they were good. Anyhow I got the series 9 and I absolutely love it!! This is the greatest razor ever invented!! Every morning I look forward to shaving! Don't hesitate! This is the one!!

first high end shaver I’ve purchased. So far it hasn’t let me down. It gets as close as my Mach 3 did & doesn’t leave the razor burn. It’s looks match it’s performance. I would definitely purchase again.

I replaced an older Series 7 razor with this one and love it. Shaves closer, faster, and less pulling. The charging station is an improved design as well and cleaning function is quitter and faster.

Razor is very quiet and provides a close shave without much Irritation. Although the cleaning system may sound expensive, it helps keep the razor clean and always ready for your next shave.

My last 2 razors were the rotary types, a Norelco & a Panasonic. The Norelco I had for many many years until the non-serviceable battery died. The Panasonic lasted around 3 years and something broke on the shaving head, so rather than replace the blades/heads, I bought a new razor. I've been wanting to try a foil razor for a long time and have been very happy with the Braun Series 9 so far. I'm a daily shaver but sometimes might go 3 or 4 days without a shave. I used to dread shaving after missing a shave for 3 or 4 days because all of my rotary shavers would tug and pull at the hairs, particularly around the nose. Comparatively the Braun is comfortable, pain free and fast even on a few days of stubble. The shave is close and tends to miss a lot less on the first pass than my old razors. After a month of use, my complaint would be that the cleaning is pretty loud. Loud enough that I don't run it before going to work if my spouse is sleeping. Additionally, I have no idea how often I am supposed to run the cleaner. Granted, I did't read the manual but I don't really find the lights on the cleaning unit or shaver very intuitive. My concern is using up the cleaning cartridge faster than I really need to.

Replaced an 10y razor of the same brand and I have to say I am very pleased with the updated design of the 9 series.. It is also much quieter than my older one.. Close Shave!

Upgraded from a 6 year old series 7 to the new series 9. I made sure to get the newest one since some of the first editions of the series 9 had some blade problems. The series 9 is very nice looking, neutral and powerful. Compared to the series 7 it feels really cheap and light. The shiny chrome feels like you might accidentally break something on it just by doing regular work. Don’t get me wrong the series 9 cuts like a dream, actually a lot better then the 7 but it definitely feels cheap for the price point. The series 9 doesn’t have a hygiene indicator on the razor itself, only the cleaning station. And it doesn’t have multiple setting like the series 7 where you can make it not as aggressive on sensitive faces.

I do have to say I like this razor for it’s close shave and a little lighter than the older 700 series. And works great in shower too. Holds a good long charge. Only thing I think could have been done better, was the location of the on off button. The grip has the button under my thumb and I have to remind myself not to press it to turn it off. Just need to get used to it. A bit pricy but we shall see if it’s worth it !

I stopped shaving decades ago but had to shave for an N95 to work so I bought this. It’s great. Easy to use, no skin irritation, fast.

I have tried many rotary head shavers and noticed they would miss multiple hairs on my face and not give much of a close shave. After trying foil shavers, I realized that they give a much closer shave. The only thing I didn't like is how fast the blades became dull and would require replacement. The Braun - Series 9 uses a self-cleaning system which had extended the life of the blades significantly as I am now replacing the head after 2 years of use. I would recommend this razor, but be aware of the added cost of replacing the cleaning solution.

This is by far the best electric shaver I have used. I can now go against the grain to get a flawless and stubble free shave. A manual would leave me with razor burn horribly when I would go against the grain. I have sensitive skin as well, and this Brain series 9 is very gentle to the touch.

I've always stayed away from the more expensive shavers that come with a cleaning unit. Now that I've been using it for over a month, I can't imagine going back. Each shave is like working with a brand new shaver scented with lemon. I never worry about battery life since it charges in the cleaning dock. Yeah, buying the cleaning fluid is an extra cost but if you can afford it, I would say go for it. I've had better luck with this shaver than all previous shavers for getting those hard to trim neck hairs too. All in all it was a great purchase.

I am a huge fan of the cleaning base. I like having super clean razor and I am to lazy to do it myself. I have sensitive face and the Braun razors are better than most. Obviously it should be good for what it costs. It did come with a nice travel case. One of the lower cost models probably would have been fine but I definitely wanted the a self cleaning base and this is what Bestbuy had in stock. The razor is easy to use I don't have any issues with the trimmer or head size.

I have not been a fan of electric shavers. After reading several reviews I decided to purchase the Braun Series 9 Electric Shaver. Best shaving purchase decision I have ever made. This product delivers clean, close shaves on each use. Shaving has always been a drag for me as I dislike needing to shave. With the Braun Series 9 Electric Shaver, I now look forward to my morning shave and the ease in which my shave is done. I highly recommend this product.

This was purchased to replace a manual razor, it cuts very close and is not too noisy, it holds a charge for a very long time

Quieter than my last braun(5995). Does a little better job. I like charge/cleaning station better. Box pictured a numeric digital readout, but unit only has a sequential line led indicator for charge status.it does a better job cleaning itself than the 5995 and the cleaning cartridge seems to last longer. It does occasionally leave some stragglers, but can get them with the trimmer. I would definitely recommend this razor! It’s a little pricey, but I got it with a rebate which got the Best Buy price down to below any online price at the time.

Was hesitant to try an electric shaver but pleasantly surprised. I have always used a razor because I never thought the electric kind can achieve what I needed it to. Very easy to use, takes up less time. Not too mention the overall money I saved not having to buy any cartilages.

I really like this new shaver from Braun. It is very light weight compared my Series 7 shaver. It also shaves more closer than my Series 7 did, plus it is much more quieter than the older models! The cleaning base is nice and does a pretty good job. The older model cleaner loaded the cartridge from the front of the charging base and the new Series 9 loads from the back. I think I prefer the front loader better just because I didn't have to move the entire base to get to the back of it. It's not a show stopper, just a minor nuisance.
