Since 1995 this movie is a masterpiece from the epic dialogue, battles to the Memoral music of James Horner. This movie delivers everything a movie lover could ask for. The 4k does show somewhat since the movie was made somewhere in 1994-1995 the sound and picture are a bit outdated meaning the picture is fuzzy and clear at the same time. The sound is so clear you can hear some things that are not natural of the movie to be such as low ringing or very low buzzing. Wish they remastered it like they did with terminator 2.

In spite of the fact that people love to point out the numerous historical inaccuracies in this picture, all I can say is that with Hollywood, you are going to get that. This is still my favorite movie of all time. I love history, and I love movies that make history come alive. The costumes, settings, characters, cinematography, and dialogue in this movie are, in my opinion, awesome. I also like the fact that there is a moral struggle in this movie, not so much concerning the main character, William Wallace, but rather it is the character of Robert the Bruce who must come to grips with what is right or wrong. Even though it is been out for over 20 years now, I still haven't seen another movie that I like more that this one.

I absolutely love this movie, one of few I can watch again every few months or so. It is sad, funny, breathtaking, spine tingling & inspirational. good vs evil, war violence for that period in time but supposedly less violent than what really happened in history. Historians will point out many inaccuracies in the film but it's a super entertaining movie, one of the main reasons I watch movies. If you are a person who must straighten out the facts vs. fiction, I'd recommend you consult a trusted source but not til after you see the movie. Essentially the theme & results are accurate from sources I have read. Highly Recommend it, in fact it's a man's action movie & chick flick all rolled into one!!!

A classic movie that is now considered an epic masterpiece. It may be historically inaccurate, but it is still a brilliantly told story. Treat it as historical fiction and enjoy the show. The UHD disc is the best this movie has ever looked. Such a brilliant transfer and the HDR makes the colors pop like never before. The steelbook is beautiful and makes a great collectors piece. Don't miss it.

At this point I'm sure most folks know all about the movie Braveheart, so I'll speak to the packaging specifically. This is for the 4K SteelBook 25th anniversary edition, and what a fantastic presentation it is! The spine is an area where I usually have the most critique in a SteelBook version as it's often overlooked but this one hits the mark. The front and back are well-presented, with some of the artwork I've seen for a home video release of this film. Keep them coming!

I adored "Braveheart" yet I have to admit when I went to see it in the theatre back in 1995 when it premiered, I had 0 interest. Generally this is not my type of film. But the spectacular themes, the visuals, the battle scenes, and even the history, although distorted a bit for the film, made me cheer. Not always for the squeamish, due to the intense and realistic battle scenes, this film has everything going for it. Whatever people think of Mel Gibson now, that be said, this is still a marvelous job of directing, and a worthy Oscar winner. A def see.

What is now a classic picture, I wanted a digital copy. Rather than buy just that, I also got a steel book case. Win/win. Great historical based picture (yes, there are liberties taken with the historic realities). But, it delivers a solid story and epic battle scenes. Grab some popcorn, throw on some comfy clothes, hit a recliner and enjoy!

Great movie. Looks better than my original DVD. This technology hobby is costing me a lot of money to keep re-buying movies I already had but needed to get them in the latest format (VHS, LaserDisc, DVD, HD-DVD, BLU-Ray DVD, Ultra 4K DVD, streaming services like Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, AppleTV).

Braveheart has always been a great movie (not perfect due to several historical inaccuracies and creative license where the truth would have sufficed). But the improvements in video quality, and even more so audio quality, as a result of remastering are excellent. In a movie in which the cinematography is so great, and the sound so important, this is great news. My disc player does a great job of up-scaling the image for our OLED UHD TV, and it's like seeing Braveheart in a movie theater again.

Great film . Won best picture and its worthy of a purchase . Looks and sounds great in 4k. Buy it .

Wow. Seeing the battle scenes again but this time in 4k, totally blows the original out of the water.

Aye, fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willin' to trade ALL the days, from this day to that, for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!

This is an awesome transfer. For the age of this film the audio mix is still pretty good.

I have Braveheart on VH, DVD, then Blue Ray so it seemed right to get the 4K Steel book. Just got a brand new Sony 4K TV and this looks fantastic. The clarity is great. The battle scenes so much better with the Dolby sound. The movie is great now the picture and sound are great.

I have never seen this movie until I saw it in 4k and even without a Dolby vision on my 4k TV it still looked like it was made yesterday! Amazing picture quality and shooting locations truly amazing along with the audio mix really put me on a roller coaster immersing me into the world of Braveheart and fight for Scott land. Must buy movie for your collection

Braveheart, even on repeat viewing, is a superb movie. Everything about it is just right. The Dolby Vision and HDR-10 versions of the film are outstanding. The images are sharp with tons of detail and colors are natural and well saturated. This is pretty much reference quality. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack sings. It's big, detailed and fully immersive. Braveheart is one the movies that sets a standard for what the 4K UHD format is capable of.

Braveheart is such an amazing film. Mel Gibson's performance was so believable as William Wollace! Also, most of the time when an actor stars and directs a movie at the same time, the movie can turn out not very well. But this is not the case for Braveheart. Mel Gibson's directing shines through as much as it does as his acting. Braveheart will always be a remembered film.

a very realistic look at how things must have been in that time, living under the rule of a king, fighting for your freedom, and dieing for what you believe in.people that you think are loyal will turn on you, but they will not be able to live with the guilt that they feel for betraying you, but in the end the sacrifice you pay will make things better for all the people who come after you including your own children, in in the case of this movie that child will grow up to be king or queen,and rule in peace.

I've watched this film several times over the years on Bluray. I have to say that this new 4k master, scanned from the actual film the movie was shot with originally, is really superb and totally worth having no matter how many times you may have seen the movie already. (I bought Gladiator 4k at the same time and the same is true about that film, so much so I wrote fundamentally the same review for it as well.)

I have watched this movie multiple times through out the years and watching it again on 4K was even better. The visuals are amazing (despite being grainy) and high quality audio makes it even better. If you are fan of war movies... or 4K movies in general, this is a must own disk.
