The bravely series from Square is amazing for the 3DS. For those who are on the switch and may be looking back, if you like Octopath traveler you may like the bravely series. The 3DS is still a great handheld with an amazing library. If you have someone into classic style RPG's. Definitely get the Bravely series for 3DS.

Good RPG I guess, but it's no Zelda

Having run out of Zelda games for the 3DS, I tried this as my first traditional RPG based on great reviews. I suppose it's well implemented, but it's just not nearly as fun as the Zeldas. All that standing around talking and counting points just seems tedious. Sorry, that's an indictment of RPG's in general, so if you like that sort of thing, this game is probably fine for you.

If you enjoy the final fantasy games of old and had a good time with bravely default then there is no reason not to pick up this 2nd game in the bravely line. While it doesn't tell an amazing story it is more than serviceable and the great gameplay remains mostly unchanged. I have been having nothing but a good time with this gem and highly suggest you don't default on this one!

This game is an amazing value. There are tons to do and it has a great battle system that is very similar to the original. The story gets a little meh at moment but the game is overall engaging enough to keep anyone busy for hours on end. If you are a fan of old school Japanese RPG's then this game is definitely for you. There is a ton to do and the time is well spent.

I purchased this game after seeing videos on the Nintendo site and playing the demo. From the ease of controls to the variety of jobs available to the characters, this is a really good game. And being made by Square makes is that much better. Some of the cut/movie scenes could have been shortened as some of them seem like the go on forever. All in all a really good game.

This game reminds me of what got me into RPG's in the first place. It's not going to wow you on graphics, but the story has been fun and cheesy. It has an old school battle system with a couple twists. It's just fun. Even the little side games are interesting enough. Now, I didn't play the original game and probably won't at the price but this is a fun one.

This new addition to the Bravely Default franchise definitely builds upon the nostalgia of fans who have played (& loved) the first rendition. It definitely improves upon it w/ small upgrades here & there throughout the game; for example, the "free-to-play" aspect, gameplay, & the repetitiveness of the prior game. Overall, I enjoyed playing & finishing the game.

Bravely Second is a solid sequel to the much-beloved Bravely Default. Warning for the uninitiated--these games take a lot of work and time to complete (and probably a few tips from online sites). The mechanics and gameplay are very similar, though there are some new job classes to enjoy. Folks, this is the closest you'll get to the great Final Fantasy games on 3DS.

If you are into old school JRPGs, then Bravely Second: End Layer will be perfect for you. Unfortunately, it is only a competent game that tries to build on Bravely Default, but doesn't do anything to exceed it. If you have played through Bravely Default, go ahead and give Bravely Second a try. If you haven't, you're better off playing Bravely Default.

This sequel to the first game harkens back to the golden age of RPG games and improves on it in almost every way. The story is weaker than in the first game, but the gameplay is much more streamlined. There is one point where micro transactions are introduced, but they are necessary to beat the game. Overall very strong RPG for the 3DS.

When I started playing Bravely Second I was a bit confused. I had never played Bravely Default but had head great things about it, and that was my problem. Second does a poor job of incorporating people who just want to jump in and play without having played the first. That being said, it is a great game, which is why it still gets 4 stars.

If you enjoyed the job duties in FF Tactics, FFIII, played 4 Heros of Light, or the first Bravely Default, you'll enjoy this second entry. You don't really need to have played the first to get into the second though. I'm hoping Square gets serious on these and gives us a NX entry that uses this art style and combat. Turn based is so timeless.

This game is the sequel to Bravely default a JRPG masterpiece. While this game is not as good as the first is still a great game. The job systems are the draw of this JRPG. The jobs you pick have an impact on your combat style and abilities. The game has a good story and the job bsed combat system is one of the best in a portable RPG.

I loved the original Bravely Default so when I saw that the sequel was available I had to pick it up. I've been having a blast so far. Bravely Second is a lot of fun and the story and characters are just what you'd come to expect from the Bravely series. If you liked the first game then you'll definitely love this one too.

Pretty much improves all the things that made the original a drag (which wasn't very much). Being able to turn off random battles makes moving around a bit easier and you can turn it to x2 encounters when you need to grind and level up. Story might not be as great as the first but this is a must have especially with recent sales.

Mechanically very similar to the original, although if you played Bravely Default you'll know that is far from a bad thing. Like most truly good sequels, Bravely Second offers more of what was so successful about its predecessor- an expanded job system, even more bosses, and great new and returning characters. Another classic-style JRPG.

I loved Bravely Default. I have played all the way through Second yet, but this far, I don't love it as much as the original. I like it, and this is the second copy I've picked up (this time for my wife). So, if obviously recommend it, but not as much as the first.

Bravely Second changes a few things here and there but is for the most part, very much the same as its predecessor. Some of the tedious bits from the first game were replaced by some legitimate improvements, but some of the new changes are a miss. Overall, if you're a fan of Bravely Default you really can't go wrong with the sequel.

After years of week Final Fantasy games, I can finally find a square enix franceies that I appreciate. It`s like a new Final Fantasy Snes game. I just finished the first one and I`m on the firsts steps of this one. I really like it and it`s better paced than the first. I really hope the Dragon Quests games come to USA soon.

For those of you who grew up on old school final fantasies and are not super happy with the more recent titles, this is a nice way to scratch that nostalgic itch. The story isn't anything amazing, but the combat and job system is what makes it stand out. If your an old school ff fan or an avid rpg gamer, this is one to check out.
