The Machine looked good in the beginning. It takes longer to have the milk ready but that’s what you get for the price. The espresso tastes good. The issue is that after only 2 months using it at home, the machine would not turn on which made me very frustrated. Trying to get it fixed by Breville. :(

A soupy puck means that the grinds are too fine/dense to allow all the liquid to be pressed through. The first drips should come out anywhere between 8-12 seconds after you push the shot button, no matter if it's for a single or double shot. Once the streams begin to come out, they should be even, and have the consistency of warm honey. If you continue to get drips, then your grind is too fine. If you get watery streams that look like drip coffee or tea, your grind is too coarse.

I returned this item as soon as I got it opened. The machine does not have enough weight in the bottom to keep it upright when attaching and removing the portafilter.

Pulls excellent shots with both preground and whole bean coffee. The milk frother is amazing. It will produce micro foam as well as your favorite coffee shop. The only con would be the tamper is just plastic. In that same note, it still tamps well enough to create great shots. No need to spend double the amount on any other machine.

This is very basic. No display or anything. Not even sure if its the right pressure or tempurature. The portafilter has a plastic insert that channels the liquid through two holes. Not too fond of that, so I purchased an aftermarket one.

My machine stopped working within the first couple of months. To get it to work, Breville said I needed to buy an “accessory.” However, because of their “generosity,” they’d send me it for free (in two weeks time). Parts necessary for the machine to work should be included. I would not buy this machine.

The espresso machine worked great for about six days. I was done dialing in my espresso and the boiler quite working. Attempted to reset the espresso boiler from the FAQ on the Breville website and nothing worked. Returned the espresso machine.
