Works well-ish enough for price point. Not consistent in crema or foam, but sometimes very good. Can splatter. Frothing stick not easy to clean because milk scalds on the side of it and have to scrap off. No dedicated power switch, so have to press two active buttons at once, which often results in one of the features starting. Lightweight, so can tip when trying to get filter bracket on or off. When it works, it's pretty good. But you have to live with some frustration for the price.

The Bambino makes a decent espresso. The puck does not get dry as with other machines. I called and customer service said the puck will be wet, there’s even a small amount of water on top of the puck after brewing. The milk steamer works great. The espresso isn’t very hot so I do stick it in the microwave for 10-15 seconds to heat it up especially for cappuccino or similar drinks.

Like this but don't love it. We have the Bambino Plus but also bought this- The Bambino- so we have a direct comparison between the two. We assumed this would be like the Plus but that you just have to manually froth the milk. but this didn't froth the milk as well and the cappuccino just didn't taste as good.

Called support twice because the steam wand not working after 8 months. Did a video conference to demonstrate.
We use the machine only once a day. I'd run the descaling once when the light indicator came on. And before I called, I cleaned the tip thoroughly to make sure there's no blockage. Despite all that, support insisted I did another descaling before proceeding. They were kind enough to offer shipping me the descaling free of charge, but it'll take 7-10 business days. I called a second time to point out if the 'descaling' warning does not comes on, descaling is either not required or
the monitoring is not working, a seperate problem, which 'descaling' is not going to solve. Still, support insist I do the descaling first, plus support stated I should not rely on the warning light, that I should descale every 2-6 weeks. Make no sense. On the third day, I noticed the unit actually has a water leak. Called support, and in the video conference, it showed lot of things not working properly. Finally, they agreed the problem has nothing to do with descaling. Now, I have to wait another 3-5 business days for the shipping box to arrive so I can send it back to repair.
This is not a cheap machine and only 8 months old, lightly use. The least they can do is hurry up send me a replacement. They can keep this broken machine and take thier own time repairng it. Why further inconvenience me of not having my morning coffee for another 2-4 weeks ?

We got this for Christmas and loved it! We used almost daily and then on February 28th it died. The steam wand no longer works. Sad day. Tried to troubleshoot and clean the nozzle but that did not work. We now have an expensive paperweight.

It’s job is to pull a shot of espresso, it cant.

I bought this as a gift a month ago and my wife used it 5 times and now it wont pull a full shot of espresso. it doesn’t work. Best Buy’s return policy is less than 14 days so given the time that it spent wrapped and the 5 times that she’s had to use it, it is no longer returnable to the place that we bought it from. I am extremely disappointed, and I don’t think I will ever buy from Best Buy again. And unless Breville can make this right I will not be purchasing any of their equipment again either. This is supposed to be an excellent machine, and yet the espresso machine I had before cost a quarter of the price and worked every time.
