So good you should get two! Very easy to use and clean! So consistent you can be a pro in a day! Maybe not the fancy latte patterns, but hey, practice.

This machine has it all but I found I had to press the espresso button to get enough volume of coffee for most drinks. Not sure what the problem is but I’ve had it for a week and I’m going to tak it back.

Quite the little all in one! This makes a perfect cup every time! Price was a bit steep, but when you take into account how much this unit does, and how little space it consumes on the counter - it really is a great deal! Bean quality is super important, we only use fresh roasted for espresso and our drinks are great. The tea and cocoa features are also great. Our entire family has come to use this multiple times and extremly pleased. Cleaning is simple, noise is a bit loud - but what machine isnt? Pressure is great, and the only thing we ended up having to purchase seperate was a set of screens, a set of wheels from a 3rd party and a knockout box. I would have loved to have seen it have wheels from new - it just makes sense to slide it out and refill the rear water tank.

I purchased the Breville Barista Touch about five years ago, which easily paid for itself within a year, saving me time, money, and fuel going to Starbucks/Peet's four or five times per week. It was one of the best appliance purchases I have ever made, producing barista quality lattes at a fraction of the retail price. After purchasing the Barista Touch Impress, I gave the still perfectly working after all these years due to high quality Barista Touch to a friend who similarly does the coffee run a few times a week. Now they don't have to.
It takes a few times to get the hang of it, but the "Impress" part of the machine is truly a game changer. It's not clear in the instructions, but basically all you have to do is start with the base settings of the grind and quantity of time that it grinds. You pull the lever twice as indicated and if the display shows "a bit more" then you select that and pull the lever twice again. Once it is at the proper height, you will see the green check mark. You're then done with tamping and can proceed to brew! It actually learns and adjusts the timing based on the previous grind but things can vary so sometimes you will get a perfect measure and other times you will have to add until you get the check mark.
The other thing I love is there is the work area is taller so whereas I used to have to angle my cup to get under the portafilter, I can now just slide it in. So bravo to Breville for building a new and improved machine. It even foams better than the old Barista Touch. This is a winner as well as all of the other great high quality Breville products!

This machine will change your life. It makes such a high quality coffe drinks. Easy to use and completely automated. I dont want to drink coffee anywhere else. It also makes different specialties coffees, my favorite ones are americano and cappuccino. It is pricey but its worth every penny. Cleaning it is easy too. It looks great on my kitchen cabinet. I regret not buying before. Best buy credit card gives you easy monthly payments and when I purchased it, it was on sale. I highly recommen it!

This machine is so easy to use and clean, I wish I bought one years ago.
We use it at least once every day and sometimes up to 4 or 5 times a day.
Build quality is amazing.
This and our Breville steak maker are the best purchases we've made.

Probably the best home espresso machine I have ever used as far as results. But quality and reliability of the build are insufficient. I have used a lot of home espresso machines. From manual to super automatic machines and this machine produced the absolute best espresso drinks, while making it super easy to get great results. The machine walks you through everything, telling you what to correct and also adjusting certain settings for you. The milk steam wand does the work for you as far as milk texturing, and is excellent for producing milk textured for latte art. Seriously. Just tell it how hot (though it never seems to get above 154 degrees even when set at 170) and how much foam/froth and it gives you consistent results. So why three stars???
The build quality is questionable and our unit stopped working after 3 months. I do think I know why, and depending on your use, you may have a better long term experience. We used our machine daily, and I mean 3-4 espresso based drinks a day. And often, we would have guests and make 4-6 drinks in succession. That’s a lot for a home machine, and I believe the fact that this machine uses a single boiler (like most home machines) to pull the espresso shot then switch over to the milk steaming is a primary reason for the failure. The temperature for each or those processes is different, and making that many drinks in a row (constantly switching from espresso pull to milk steam and back and forth again) probably places a lot of stress on the boiler and the machine, and I believe that’s what led it to fail. But, whether that’s the case or not, at $1500, I expect a machine that can handle my daily use and the occasional back to back to back drinks. This isn’t the first Breville product I have had that eventually had issues. To be fair, I also drove those machines a little hard as well. But hey, if you get a machine that’s going to make great coffee, your friends and family will want some too…
At the end of the day, it’s a great machine when it works, and that’s why despite failing after 3 months I’m still giving it 3 stars. It does have a two year warranty, and make sure you purchase the Best Buy Geek Squad protection plan with it. For the price of the machine, you want Best Buy to be there for you if and when it does have issues. They took care of my issue immediately, no hassles or issues whatsoever.
Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We do apologize for your experience with your appliance. Thank you for allowing us to resolve the situation for you. Please reach out if other issues or questions arise. We'll be happy to help.

I just bought the Breville Barista, and it already feels like a game-changer for my morning coffee routine. The build quality is solid and stylish, with that professional café look that really elevates the kitchen.
Setup was straightforward, and I love that it has everything built in—the grinder, steam wand, and brewing system—so I don’t need multiple machines. The grinder is precise, and it makes a noticeable difference in freshness compared to pre-ground coffee.
My first few cups have been rich, smooth, and full of flavor. The steam wand creates great microfoam, so lattes and cappuccinos come out like café drinks. It does take a little practice to dial in the grind size and pressure, but that’s part of the fun of having a semi-automatic machine.
So far, I’m really impressed. It’s not just convenient—it makes coffee that actually feels special. I’m excited to keep experimenting and perfecting my barista skills at home.

My wife and I absolutely love our Breville Touch Impress. It has been a fun learning process getting the hang of it, and while it definitely takes more time than a standard coffee machine, the results are well worth it. The coffee comes out rich, smooth, and café-quality every time. It makes the whole process feel more intentional and enjoyable, and we appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into each cup. If you’re looking for convenience alone, this isn’t the same as a push-button drip machine—but if you value quality and the experience of making a great coffee, this machine delivers.
