I spent a lot of time online reading various reviews and comparing products on both Amazon and Best Buy. it was a tough decision as I wanted as much quality as I could afford on a limited budget. I also wanted stainless steel over glass and the least amount of plastics. This model fit the bill to a tee. My wife and I recently quit our last vice - coffee! Now we are 100% tea drinkers. I was using the microwave to boil water and she was using the stove top for her tea. However, I read that microwaving water is not good and can even be harmful to you, and the stove top was inefficient - and hard to get to when she's working there. So this was the perfect solution. We are both thrilled. The unit boils faster than the microwave or stove burner, is a lot more convenient to use, looks great and is much cleaner and less bulky than our old coffee brewing system. I love the way the internal lid-hinge system works and how the water level can be viewed from the small, vertical glass window. It's also cool the way it lights up when boiling the water and has a cute little "ding" when it's ready to pour. We've only had it a couple of months but use it several times a day between us and haven't had any issues yet. Only time will tell, but it appears to be built to last. I not only highly recommend this product but also highly recommend people quit the coffee and the drug, caffeine. (It actually took me several days to get this poison out of my system.) Boil water, drink tea, live longer. ;-D

This is actually my second one, first started leaking after using it for at least 8 years, many times a day. We like our tea. I thought about buying a different one just to try something new, but nothing seemed good enough at this price. Looks great as well.

This kettle heats up quickly without problems, and is well built with wonderful aesthetics. I love the all metal construction, the cordless design, and the way it lights up during the heating process. It may sound dumb but it makes watching water boil enjoyable.

I went into the store, was recommended this as the best and it has lived up to the sales pitch.

The easy and fast way to heat water for tea. Easy to use too!

We make a lot of tea. Our last kettle was a cheap one bought online. It lasted 4 months. After looking at options This kettle, while not cheap, had a good build quality and some nice features. After a month of use it has lived up to expectations. It boils quickly and quietly and has some good safety features.

We did a lot of research before buying this kettle. Most comments were very positive and we add to them. Sleek design, particularly the soft top lid and switch. Boils quickly without too much noise. Well priced for good value. And yes, we would make the same choice again

This pot boils the water quickly! I like that where you see the level of the water, is lit up. We have had it over a year and we have had no issues. It has a very nice, clean look and holds at least 7 full cups. Fully recommend!

This is my second Brevillle kettle. My first one in about three years of use started losing electrical connection with it's base, contacts just wear out and it was a problem to get it started. I've decided to get a new kettle, and after a long search realized that only kettle I would like to get is the same Breville I had.

So far so good. It heats up water quickly for anything and makes consistent tasting hot and iced tea. It is much quicker than using the microwave. I recommend it.

As a constant tea drinker, I am in love with this electric kettle. It is easy to use, easy to clean. Thinking of getting a second one for work!

it takes a little bit of time to warm the water. and the whistle doesn't blow until after the water has been boiling for several minutes. it seems like it could be sooner, but nonetheless, the water is super hot! so, it does exactly what it's supposed to. it's very large and the soft top is very nice!

My old kettle broke within less than 6 months after I bought it. This time I decided to buy something that looks more durable. So I ended up with Breville. So far, tt works just fine and it has a nice sleek look. The lid opens up slowly, felt more durable.

Got it yesterday and have already made several cups of hot tea and a gallon of iced team. Works fast and the tea tastes great. Easy clean up. Hope it lasts a while.

This kettle heats the water quicker than any of the other brands I've tried. It also shuts off automatically after it boils so the kettle doesn't boil dry. Wonderful feature!

This is great for heating water quickly. The stainless design looks great on the counter & its very simple to use.
