Best Grinder I've ever owned

This Grinder is fantastic, easy to use, and churns out coffee perfectly. I never fill the hopper as I change coffee and espresso very often, but it's big enough for all my needs. Coffee flows smoothly and quietly through this machine. And the settings allow me to dial in the perfect grind for my espresso, french press and drip machine. It's very solid, and very well designed, everything about this unit is well thought out. High end coffee snobs might not care for it, it's less than $1000, but this is a great grinder at a great price for the coffee fan getting into espresso on a budget. This machine is super easy to use and maintain. You might be tempted to buy a cheaper grinder and I can't blame you, but if you are ready to make the leap, and you want these features this machine is the real deal.

I love this grinder. Set-up is easy and the coffee grinds are uniform. I do recommend cleaning the unit periodically following the manual that comes with the unit.

The Breville smart grinder pro is a great grinder for those who want to take their coffee making skills to the next level but are not ready to invest $500+ in a coffee-shop grade grinder.
It has tons of settings to allow you to tune your grind whether you are making French press coffee, drip, espresso drinks or even Turkish coffee. There are settings for over grind size and grind amount, but you can also tune grind time of you want a specific amount of coffee for your espresso portafilter for example.

I bought this grinder specificity for my espresso machine. It times out the grinding perfectly every tim so I no longer have to weigh my beans. Any other quality grinder that has this feature is usually at least twice the price.

Our old Breville smart grinder finally went out after almost 10 years. We loved our old so much that we hoped to replace it with the same model. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Breville is still making this model and Best Buy had one. It's easy to operate and makes the best coffee for our taste. It can also dispense the perfect amount into the portafilter for our Espresso Machine.

Almost accurate grind weight/time. Grinde size is good, a little bit of clumps but nothing the WDT can’t solve.

I splurged on this because I found that it was difficult to get my favorite espresso beans in properly ground form. I had a cheap grinder for a short time but it was useless for making a fine grind. This machine is wonderful (but expensive thus only 4 stars). Can create a very consistent grind right down to talcum powder size if you want that for Turkish coffee. Very convenient to use and not too big.

My wife tells me that money talks. A $200 coffee grinder proves it. The grinder is quiet and grinds to a very consistent grind.
For some reason, coffee beans for places like Starbucks and Peets are a bit oily. A couple of bags of the oily beans require a cleaning. You can tell the grinder needs to be cleaned when the grinding noise skips. I put at least 10 pounds of Bicycle brand coffee in the grinder with no cleaning required. It seems like the smaller coffee shops are less oily than the big guys. They all make good coffee. I prefer brands that don't make me clean the grinder.
There are a lot of comments that you need a grinder that stops based on weight. I have had no problems with the timer. I feel that a scale is one more thing to go wrong.
The cup catches all of the grinds with no worry of coffee on the counter.

Great grinder. I bought it for my wife as she is a coffee lover. She is very pleased with the quality of coffee (much better than pre-grounded coffee) and how easy it is to use it.

Awesome product. Very easy to use. Consistent grind. I have actually dropped weight as I have been drinking coffee consistently for the first time ever. Bought it for my wife and she loves it, but I use it far more than she does.

This coffee grinder works well and has a myriad of grinding sizes that are easy to set.
I add the amount of beans that I wish to grind and have the grinding time set to be a second or so more than the grinding requires.
Some reviewers have complained about the grinding time being set in 10ths of a second and the time required to set it. Since the time is set with a rotating know rather than a push button I do not have this complaint. In fact, if I just filled the bean hopper and used the grinding time to regulate the amount of coffee ground, I would welcome the ability to set the time in tenths of a second.

Incredible device. The quality of the grind has woken up the flavor of the coffee that we have been drinking for years. It really does taste just like it would if buying from a Peet's shop. Couple small oddities though - we also have the Breville Prevision Brewer and yes very small thing but I'd love it if the color of the LCD screens matched. Also - the accessories that came with the grinder are very nice BUT you would have thought that they would have designed them to work in harmony, as in the 8-12 cup brewing basket should fit under the grinder so that you can direct grind into it. No dice. Overall, an incredible and great upgrade. Keep it clean and enjoy!

Bought this to replace older model that died after 8 years. The price to have it repaired and shipped, plus the time factor wasn't worth the difference. The new has a couple of new fixtures that nice for espresso shot. Best grinder I have used!

This is well worth the money. You’re able to select the grind you like, the strength, and the amount. It makes a consistently good pot of coffee at the strength you like. It’s easy to use and maintain as well. Highly recommend it.

While it is quite pricey as a coffee grinder, It is an incredibly reliable product. Also, it is a perfect match for my Breville Bambino! If you have one of Brville's espresso machines without a grinder, you should consider getting this one.

Some clumping problems and definitely some retention issues, but both of those are pretty solvable. For the price point, I absolutely have no regrets in getting this device. Pair it with a wdt and maybe a bellows mod from Etsy, and I'd put it up against anything in the sub 350 range
