Heats up fast a d even. Easy to follow instructions

we spent more than planned as the description of the toasting function was so seductive. the toast comes out like so many others: really great on only one side. the instruction and cookbook that comes along is not very helpful. It is rather thick as it contains instructions in more than one language. too pricey.

The multiple settings allow me to for two without turning on me big over.

it is not operating conveince, when you start each time it start with highest miniutes, it should allow to set timing what we want but it does not

I did all the research and the Breville 800XL and it came out on top. Yet there were some reviews that were bad. So I took the plunge and I am not disappointed. Started with a Sara Lee Peach Pie, I cooked it for 60 min on bake using confection. Looked like a picture. Next cooked a 6 pound chicken on Roast using convection at 350 for 3 hrs. Breville saids 30 min per pound for chicken. I would cook 30 less next time and check with insta read thermoeter. Using aluminum foil was also a question with this oven. I used it on the crumb tray and on the pizza tray when I cook the peach pie. No problems resulted. Of course don't let the aluminum foil touch the heating coils. Commen sense people. This oven is the real deal.

I bought this toaster oven after a horrible experience with a lower priced brand, and I have to admit I should have just spent the extra money right from the start. This little oven is AMAZING! It makes absolutely perfect toast, garlic bread, pizza, casseroles, you name it! There is a setting for everything and every setting is dead on accurate. It has a great modern look, it's very easy to clean and the broil pan and baking sheet that comes with it is much higher quality than normally comes with a toaster oven. I intend to purchase some of the other custom sized pans offered in the catalog that comes with the unit later. Since my household is just my husband and myself I'm finding that in large part this little oven has replaced my conventional oven for just about everything. I haven't tried baking cookies in it yet, but I have no doubt it will perform just as well for that as it has everything else I've tested it with.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a toaster oven that cooked and also toasted a piece of bread just as good. After several months of researching and reading specifications and reviews we finally decided on the breville for its features and looks. We figured that if the breville expresso machine was one of the best on the market that this toaster oven wouldn't disappoint. So far we have owed and used it for over a month and we have to say, regardless of the hefty price tag it is well worth it. Not only does it bake very well, it also has a convection feature that speeds up those small jobs that take over 15-20 with the smaller more popular toaster ovens on the market. Oh by the way, have I told you about the toasting of the bread. It toasts bread as if you were at the diner using the industrial toaster that usually gets your bread perfectly toasted on both sides and no burnt ends... We would recommend this toaster oven to everyone we know and will definitely purchase more breville products in the future.

WOW....What a great little oven. This oven does everything my big oven will do, (on a smaller scale) with less energy and less heat in the house. It actually bakes my cookies better than my big oven. Looks like my big oven will become my holiday oven, and this great oven will be my everyday oven.. This oven really delivers everything it is advertised to do. You get what you pay for really applies to this oven. It seems a little expensive for a toaster oven, but believe me it is worth every penny. Oh...did I say toaster oven, this oven is more like a miniature convection oven.

My unit arrived today. Out of the box it was perfect. The design and ease of use is almost elegant. Once through its preparations (literature explains it all - kind of a "burn in") it's ready to go! I popped in my favorite french bread pizza and cooked from the recommended settings for a 6" frozen pizza and it was FABULOUS! The crust was light and crisp and the inner breading was fluffy and tender. The toppings were lightly toasted and the sauce so flavorful. ALL the flavors were just brought out in the cooking process. My local Pizza Parlor is now in serious trouble! The kids popped in some toast and let it do its thing. They were golden and even and more perfect than my slice toaster. This is now my favorite home appliance. Way to go!!

This note is from the wife, Jack shares my enthusiasm for this product. If you are hesitant about whether you should spend this much for a toaster oven, I recommend go for it! I hesitated whether I needed to spend this much and wasn't sure if we needed something this large. We love how easy it is to operate, how quickly it heats up, & the results are fantastic. We rarely turn on our wall oven anymore which takes forever to heat. Plus now I have the toaster oven that works as an extra mini-oven when entertaining. We really do use it ALL the time.

At first the price seemed so much higher than other brands, but after reading other reviews, I decided to buy it. Am I ever pleased! So pleased that I gave one to a dear friend for Christmas, and she is just as pleased as I am. I have never had one that works so well. This is a small thing, but one that I am glad about: the rack where the toast rests can be pulled out without falling down, but stays in place. How many times have you dumped your toast onto the floor pulling out the darn rack. Small thing but an indication of the workmanship and care that went into all aspects of this. You’ll be glad to have this...for years!

Had to return this item due to defective knob. Would not recommend this model Breville. The Kitchen Aid or Cuisinart are much better.

I have been researching toaster and convection ovens for some time and this was the best choice.

Over the years, I have purchased many Convection Toaster Ovens, and all of them except this one have dissapointed me. The previous ovens took a lot of time to find the right cooking temperature and time and none of them cooked evenly. The fans on all of the previous ovens were very noisy and sounded like they were about to die. Well when I purchased the Breville Smart Oven Convection Toaster/Pizza Oven I was amazed at how well it performed. I used the oven presets about 98% of the time and the food came out perfectly done. No more burnt offerings. No more standing to watch the food cooking. This is the BEST Convection Toaster/Pizza Oven I have ever purchased. Thanks Best Buy for selling this product

The oven is very well made-solid and attractive. It is a far cry from a standard "toaster over", although it has settings for toast, bagels, and pizzas, it is rather a small counter top oven. I have made all kinds of toast and bagels, roasted nuts, and heated a frozen casserole, the directions for which warned not to use a "toaster oven", and all have turned out excellent. The bread and bagels toasted in this oven are so much better than those made in the standard toaster because the combination of settings and spacing of the heaters provide a deliciously crunchy crust and a moist but well heated inside. It is worth the price.

My wife and I had our kitchen remodeled and wanted a great toaster oven to go with our amazing new kitchen. This oven is awesome and the convection allows for amazing results. Very easy to use and figure out. It is highly recommended for anyone that can get it. Now my in-laws will be ordering this same toaster oven.

It is a great looking oven. We got it to replace a much smaller toaster oven. This one is easy to use and with all of the features you want - well worth the price!

I ordered the oven as a Christmas present after research indicated that this was the best available. It works fine, but the top gets very hot so you can't put anything on it. You'll have to spend another $40 or so for Breville's "Bamboo Cutting Board" that fits on top of the oven.

If you are looking for a complete toaster that does it all and does it the very best, then this is the oven you are looking for. Don't let the higher price scare you off. You definitely get what you pay for in the toaster oven realm, and this one out performs every other oven I have tried. It has a nice stainless steel exterior and the heating elements work so well that it heats not only bagels, toast, bread, but anything else we put in it. I love the convection feature and it has a nice sized interior so it can double as an oven if you need it. It heats faster and cooks faster then my oven, so it is much more cost efficient. I use it more than my regular oven. It has a nice display, is very easy to run, and I would recommend it to anyone.
