The machine is great and easy to use. The portafilter and tampering tool that comes with are basic. You will feel like wanting to upgrade those.

I adore my Bambino plus; have wanted one literally for years, decided to bite the bullet in the recent sales. I’m so glad I did. What people say about the instructions is true, but just read the book. Read the instructions. Took me a couple of hours to get it up and running after cleaning etc (no joke) but worth it.

This has been an awesome espresso machine! Definitely worth the money and easy to use. We watched a utube video about how to use the machine, which was very helpful.

I have been wanting this espresso machine for awhile. It might be because I’ve been in a routine and I knew my old espresso machine but this one hasn’t quite held up to the hopes I had for it. It is still amazing and looks great and is even better paired with the Breville grinder.

After 6 months of use, I realize I do not want to be a Barista after all. Pretty easy to use, however, I have not been able to get the proportions right to obtain a strong espresso shot, using all the tools and videos and premium coffee, or getting the milk hot and frothy enough. I also have a Philips automatic espresso machine (twice the price - had it since 2020). It also doesn't really hit the spot, but it is a lot easier and more automatic, and while a bit more cleanup, less prep. The Bambino is a pretty little machine and looks nice on my coffee bar area, but it's more work than I wanted.

My daily life begins with a good cup of coffee, thanks to my Breville coffee maker, which helps me prepare the coffee in a few minutes, just like I deserve.

Was quite easy to set up. I use it on a daily basis for my wife and I. Came from an aero press and I must say being able to steam my own milk has really upped my barista game at home. If your coffee doesn't come out the way you expect at first, double check your grind before you blame the coffee machine.

After 18 months ours leaks water somewhere between the machine and water tray when it releases water after a shot. Very disappointing, not sure if it can be fixed or entirely replaced. Nothing seems to be made to last anymore so I’m particularly disappointed that our Breville didn’t. We each made coffee so probably 3-4 cycles a day (1600-2100 uses in 18 mos). For $500 we got our use out of it but it still seems like a waste to toss the whole thing.
The only thing that is very poor are the cleaning cycle indicators and controls. I have to look up on YouTube every time to remember how to clean it or what the machine is telling me.

Compact footprint. Check. Short enough to fit under 15” cabinet clearance. Check. Huge water tank despite its diminutive size. Check. Beautiful to look at. Check. Ease of use. Check. Quick and easy frother. Check. Easy to clean. Check (the milk frother even cleans itself… mostly).
All well and good except for one thing. No matter what I did to trouble shoot, it never achieved an espresso temp higher than 150 degreesF. That’s straight out of the group head always preheated directly onto a thermometer or into a cup with thermomter already in place. By they time you drink it, hot tap water is lava hot by comparison. FAIL.
That aside, if you’re keto there is simply no way to get a decent frothed milk alternative including the “barista” formulated milk alternatives with this thing. So far the only way I’ve found to achieve that is to put any milk alternative in the microwave for about 45 seconds then hit it with my 19 dollar, single battery powered flimsy little hand held whisk. Not as good as steam frothed whole milk to be sure, but about as close as you can expect for milk alternative… far superior to what you get with this built in frother, although it does a great job with whole milk… still useless when paired with cold coffee. It’s a shame. I really wanted to like this thing, but it does everything well except the main thing it exists to do.
