Great machine but needs a hidden adjustment
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve had ours for over a year but have been a bit disappointed at our brews. Then we saw a YouTube video saying how you need to adjust the preset internal conical burrs from 6 to 3 for a finer grind. Now our brews are way tastier.

Excellent machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome machine right out of the box. The grinder is very high quality and is easy to adjust to get the perfect shot. Takes a couple tries to get the grind just right but is very simple. The machine is very straight forward and user friendly and looks amazing sitting on the counter top. Been a huge espresso drinker for years and this is the best machine I’ve used.

Great espresso but not easy to operate
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this one because it had high review rates. The machine is well built. The quality of the espresso it produces is good. The price is fair. However, I found difficult to consistently achieve the good results. I am sure with time and practice I could end up mastering the setup. But at this point I am looking for simplicity. I returned it and picked up the automated more expensive model which was on sale and greatly discounted. I am very satisfied with the exchange. If one enjoys preparing custom recipes, this machine May be a great option. Not for me, though.

Perfect Espresso at Home!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought the Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine, and it has completely transformed my morning routine. The integrated grinder is a lifesaver, giving me the freshest grounds for a robust flavor every time. With 15 bars of pressure, every espresso shot is perfectly extracted, rich and creamy. The milk frother? Just wow! It whips up silky smooth froth for my lattes and cappuccinos that rivals any coffee shop. If you’re a coffee enthusiast looking to elevate your home barista skills, this machine is a game changer. Highly recommend!

Great value! Very capable little machine
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It makes a good shot of espresso! I've had many of these, what I call "fancy coffee" machines. I paid more for some, less for others. I used to move often and it seemed every move, my fancy coffee machine would break and start leaking inside (probably due to freezing). Well, now I'm settled permanently (I hope), so here I go again. This machine is still pretty new to me, and although I like the quick convenience of a "pod" type coffee maker, when I can devote a few minutes to crafting a really premium coffee beverage, this machine delivers. The pros: looks nice, fairly sturdy build quality with lots of metal, heats up pretty quickly, recovers quickly between shots, really nice heavy high quality porta-filter, contains a VERY, VERY nice grinder that is precise and consistent as well as compatible with bean hoppers from Breville's stand alone top-of-the-line grinders, handy inside filter storage and magnetic tamper storage, single and double wall filters supplied, nice ball-jointed frothing wand, but best of all this machine is VERY customizable. Single and double-shot volume is adjustable, grind size and volume have lots of adjustment range (also manual volume control by holding the porta-filter in), brew temperature can be customized over a range of several degrees, and bean hoppers can be unlocked and removed (swapped) with beans still inside. The frother works fine but I usually use a separate induction type frother. The cons (all very minor): It's a little messy. It spits a little when brewing. To dispense a full dose into the porta-filter at my preferred grind setting (3), there's some spill-over, even if I shake the handle a bit during the grind. I don't think this can be avoided in anything other than a super-automatic machine and I hate cleaning those things. I deal with this by reducing the grind volume by half, tamping it down, then grinding in the other half. The porta-filter comes with a dual-outlet nozzle, but I never brew into two cups. Sometimes I want to brew into a very small cup, but the dual nozzles won't both hit it. If you unscrew and remove the dual nozzle, the porta-filter won't sit flat and level on its own while tamping. This is a minor annoyance. It doesn't have provision for a direct plumbed water supply (I know that's a big ask, but it's what I want). Overall: I love this machine. When I'm not using it, it sits there looking nice. When I use it, I realize how good coffee can be. I hope it long outlasts its warranty.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a single machine that grinds, brews espresso and froths milk all in one, the Breville Barista Express is a top pick, especially when you can find it at Best Buy with strong reviews and reliable return & price match options

Breville Barista Express review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this expresso machine. It produces an excellent tasting expresso. The correct pressure of the extraction can be controlled by how fine the bean grind, and also how hard I pack the ground beans. In other words, I am able to make the perfect expresso. The frother works very well also. This is my second purchase of this model. The first one lasted about 5 years until the pump began to fail. But that was after thousands of expressos... This is not a fully automatic machine in that you have to pack and then discard the puck. But I prefer it that way as I have much more control and can generally make a stronger expresso than with a fully automatic machine. Also this machine is vary attrctive on the countertop.

Worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an avid Starbucks junkie, I was looking for a way to avoid driving to get a good latte or mocha. After reading a ton of reviews of different espresso machines, I chose this one. Paid around $550 for it. The machine is easy to use. Definitely read the instructions first, but it makes an amazing espresso! Comes with grinder, can make one or two shots at once, built in frother that’s easy to use, and only takes a few minutes to make a great drink.

Great for espresso beginners
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this espresso machine for nearly a year and I still love it. Literally every day I am able to pull consistent shots of espresso and drink them at their peak freshness. I am able to grind beans and control everything until I find the perfect balance for the beans I am using at the time. I have had zero issues with quality or maintenance and this machine is probably the best thing I bought for myself back in 2018. If you love espresso but aren't a jerk about it, this machine will literally suit all of your needs and the price is fair for everything that you're getting.... Sure there are more advanced or fully automatic machines out there but don't get caught up in those other bells and whistles.... Really think about what your personal espresso habits and needs are and then you will find that this machine can really do it all! Another thing that I really enjoy (that I hadn't previously considered prior to owning) is how convenient it is to have access to boiling hot water pretty much instantly. I use the hot water for obvious things like tea, but I also use it when I need boiling water for pastas and other cooking and it has made everything so much easier and faster. Even when you have to clean the machine, the directions are very clear, make sense and it's super easy to do. This machine is super dear to my heart and I love everything about it....If you are considering it, I would say just straight up buy it. #treatyoself #youdeserveit

Good coffee
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing coffee as long as you work to dial in your espresso correctly, the steam wand leaves a little to be desired because it’s only 1 hole

The best machine to explore the Barista World
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great starter machine if you locate the right beans to make the best espresso of your dreams. You might or might want to upgrade your game to include some upgrades to the machine, but overall I have to say you can dial in something to stain your teeth for the next 10 years without missing a day. My favorite is a double shot with Whipped Cream or an Espresso Con Panna as Starbucks calls it. Except I would eat with a spoon. Some great latte's can be had with this machine.

Great coffee
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you love coffee, this will bring your coffee mojo up ten notches. You won’t return it! Best espresso, half the cost.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a graduation present. Used one of these a few times when at my in-laws. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this espresso maker. It takes a little finesse to get the grinds dialed in for the dose, but this will change a little depending on the beans you use. Steaming wand works amazingly, makes espresso that is better than Starbucks (they burn their beans), and makes an amazing crema. Absolutely love this machine, we use it daily!

So far so good!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got this machine in last week and the first day it took a little getting used to because I had to read the owner manual and figure out the grind of the beans and what not. That being said the machine has been making amazing coffee so far I do have barista experience so for some it may take longer to learn how to use it. This machine makes STRONG espresso but that’s how I like it. Overall set up was not too bad. My only concern is making sure the espresso shots are under the correct amount of pressure. The shots when being pulled should be in the gray zone when pressurized and my shots when they first start pulling it takes a while for the shots to start flowing then the little meter shoots up to the gray zone I think this is normal but I’m still trying to figure out this machine :) it’s so much better than my $100 mr. coffee machine I got back then it Pails in comparison to the breville.

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can make quality espresso and americano drinks at home each morning. Pretty easy to setup and use, comes with quick start card. Really pack down espresso grinds to get full pressure extraction. Should pay for itself after 100 drinks as opposed to going to Starbucks. Great machine, good quality. Went on sale for $115 off, which made me finally pull the trigger.

Perfect coffee
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As long as you can learn how to use it well you will have a perfect cup anytime you make your coffee, the frother and cup that it comes with works really well compared to my last espresso machine and the grinder has made my coffee even better with fresh ground espresso. Only real complaint is how often i need to fill the water but thats an easy fix. With a floater valve, an inline filter and using a t valve to split the line from the fridge/dishwasher water to also go to this you no longer have to worry about that, only the regular cleaning. All in all ill never have to buy coffee at a cafe anymore

Great entry level espresso maker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an espresso enthusiast, i couldn't be happier with an entry level semi-automatic espresso maker. love the grinder, spectacular design and solid build quality. it will take some time to get it right, but once you get there, you cant stop making coffee. be aware that after a while using this machine, you won't be satisfied with coffee that you get from cafes.

Fantastic Espresso Machine
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine is fairly user friendly and beginner ready, but watching tutorials helps a lot! The Breville will allow you to skip your morning coffee run, and make your morning latte or cappuccino in your pjs. It is so easy to maintain and easy to clean, especially with the pull out tray. The grinder works flawlessly allowing you to dial in to your desired taste. Breville’s milk frother whispers and tears paper in your favorite milk for adequate paint texture and consistency. Better than any Starbucks given a quality bean in the machine.
