The Breville Barista Express is the way to go if you want a great Latte, cappuccino, espresso or iced coffee. Your choice of beans or ground coffee. Large coffee bean hopper. Adjustable for size of grind and if you want a double or single shot. Large water tank on the back. Steams great milk froth. Use Whole milk, 2% milk, half and half, cream or nondairy. I can’t comment on the durability of the unit because I’ve only had it for a month. But it’s stainless steel frame and parts. When you pick it up you can tell it’s quality made! Not much plastic in this thing! It was a great Mother’s Day gift For my wife, but I’m guilty! I bought it for myself as much as for her. BREVILLE makes bigger units but for my wife myself and friends it’s big enough for us. We make at least 2 lattes daily with our choice of flavorings that’s available at our Kroger or Publix grocery store. It won’t take long to make my money back because of want I’m saving by not visiting my coffee shop as much! One of the difference is I can make my own taste the same way every time and not depend on how busy the coffee shop is. And by the way! I DON’T WORK FOR BEST BUY OR BREVILLE! THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW!

Works great! There’s 4 different espresso filters included that make it a little more user friendly for beginners. Recommend picking up a coffee scale that weighs in grams to help dial in the taste flavor.

I have prior experience with this particular unit, so I was excited to find it in stock at a good price so close to Christmas! They look great, they work great, and they deliver a delicious beverage!

Incredible beginner friendly espresso machine. We have used it every day for the past couple years. It's grinder works just fine, don't listen to the gear snobs. The steam wand also works just fine. Are the grinder and steam wands the best they could be? Sure, they could be better, but these things work perfectly adequate, if not better, but this machine is for the folks wanting to get into espresso. Get it all in one. The main function of the unit, being the making of espresso, works phenomenally. For those that are having issues with it, watch a video or two or read the manual, espresso is not as simple as your classic coffeemate drip machine.

I love this espresso machine. It does save money rather than going to chain stores. Once you get the hang of it you will enjoy your fresh beverages. As other reviews said, yes, it is a bit loud when turning on and when the water pumps through. The loud high pitched sound that comes from frothing is operational error on the people frothing incorrectly. If you do it incorrectly it is so bad you want eat plugs. Again once you get it figured out it is not loud like that at all. Don’t put the wand to far down in the pitcher, about 1/4” works well for me, tilt the pitcher and have wand point near the 3:00 position, that’s what I do and it works great. I’ve tried a few different beans in it now with each one I’ve had to adjust the grind size a bit otherwise it over or under processes (whatever u call it- to where when making the shot it’s not in the dark grey preferred area or it doesn’t make the full shot) I think it’s because some beans are more oily etc. anyway I did about two months of research before picking this machine and watching videos,reading reviews the whole 9, I’m very happy with my purchase and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for their own espresso machine. LOVE IT!!!

I’ve been using the Breville Barista Express for about four months now, and I have to say, it’s been an overall fantastic addition to my kitchen. As someone who loves a good cup of coffee every day, this machine has really elevated my home brewing experience. The espresso shots come out consistently great, and the built-in grinder is a huge plus, allowing me to make freshly ground coffee every time. The steam wand is powerful enough for making lattes and cappuccinos, and I’ve been able to perfect my milk frothing skills with ease. The overall build quality feels solid, and the machine has a sleek, professional look that fits well in my kitchen. That said, I’ve run into an issue that’s been a bit frustrating: after about four months of daily use, the plastic on the top tray has started to chip from the heat. I wasn’t expecting this kind of wear on a product at this price point, especially since it’s supposed to be designed for regular use. I’m hopeful that it will be covered under the warranty, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re considering this model. Overall, I still think it’s a great machine for the price, and I’m enjoying my coffee every day. Just be cautious with the heat exposure on the plastic parts over time. It’s definitely a solid choice for espresso lovers, just with a minor flaw in the long-term durability.

I am drinking delicious coffee every day after purchasing it. It is easy to drink and use coffee every day, which is much more flavorful than outside cafes, and it is a coffee machine with a great price and good brand. I will highly recommend it to my friends.

This is a wonderfully designed machine. They thought of every detail. If you are an Expresso drinker this is a must have. Recommend the set up machine if you dont want to worry about the preaaure ypu have to put on tamper. But this baseline machine is well designed and elegantly sophisticated simplicity. This is a Fantastic unit for the price! It has a perfect balance of customization and daily reliable performance. The feature I love most is the integrated high quality coffee grinder. This not only saves counter space, but also eliminates the annoying coffee grinds all over from an external grinder. Fast warn up time, perfect espresso every time. This is a single boiler unit, but unless you are a coffee house, the short wait for the steamer to fire up is worth the price. I love the magnetic tamper as I dont need to go chase around where I left it.

This is my first espresso machine. After endless days/nights of researching the Breville Express Espresso came out on top. Ease of use, all in one(grinder, steam, storage. Setup out of the box was a breeze. After watching the tutorial included with the product and several YouTube videos. I made a great first cup of espresso! I’m sure after a few more uses I will perfect the perfect cup! Goodbye to long waits at coffee shop and hello to saving money!

Very simple to use, delicious espresso and fresh every time with the built in grinder. It only takes a little practice to get the tamping pressure down for the perfect cup of espresso.

The coffee comes out exquisite, with great flavor and creamy, it's excellent. I no longer buy coffee from outside; the coffee I make at home tastes a thousand times better. Thank you, Breville!

My family absolutely LOVES this machine. We used to spend way too much money on coffee from Starbucks, Biggby, Dunkin etc, just to have to taste different every time. Since gifting my wife and daughters the espresso machine, they are able to have high quality lattes every day (that taste better than Starbucks anyways). We are able to experiment with syrup flavors, different espresso beans and milks. The machine is super easy to clean and have not had any issues with it. Would recommend to anyone!

I was visiting Starbucks a lot more than I would’ve wanted, so I decided to invest in this some-what beginner Breville machine. Learning how to freshly grind espresso beans to the “right” consistency does take a bit of time. I would recommend using a cheaper bean to start since you’ll be throwing away a lot of it during the set up process. I was initially intimated by the up-keep and clean-up but it is not bad at all. The steamer wand is very efficient, but it does take some time to get use to! Overall, it’s expensive, but I think it is absolutely worth it. Keep in mind, it is fairly loud and isn’t the best solution for a quick morning coffee if you live in a house full of people!

It’s very therapeutic to work for my coffee a little. Going up from a Keurig this is a huge jump but also a massive jump in quality. I haven't gotten into modifying the machine but learning about the process is pretty invigorating

Been wanting to get this espresso machine for so long and I finally did it. I no longer buy coffee from outside cause nothing even compares to how good of an espresso this makes It is worth the hype!!

if you’re looking for an affordable (compared to other high quality coffee makers), this is an all-in-one machine you’re looking for. The only thing worth considering when buying is that if you wanna make your coffee in the morning when others are sleeping, this is not for you. While the sound it makes is less than many other machines, it’s still pretty loud.

This is our second coffee machine, the first one we bought is still working since 2020. We bought it during the pandemia as we could not live without good coffee!. It took some time to learn how to calibrate it properly (youtube videos help a lot) but once the settings rea good you get barista level coffee. This second machine had a promotional price so we couldn't pass the opportunity! Just a great product, highly recommended! We use coffee from HEART coffee roasters from Portland Oregon, the Stereo Blend.

This machine is now a kitchen staple--I use it EVERY day and love it. Cleaning is easy and the features are just what I need. The integrated grinder removes guesswork. I am including a photo of what it looks like with the drip tray pulled out so you can see how handy the storage compartment is and how the drip tray is nicely designed. The little "Empty Me" tab pops up if you need to dump the tray.
