Been in the market for an espresso machine for awhile, but didn't want to commit to spending hundreds of dollars on just any of them. My friend has this one, so I had some experience beforehand. Buying it myself confirmed it was a wise purchase. I don't have any experience with other espresso machines, but this one is very easy to use. Definitely a good idea to read some instructions and watch some videos, since it's not as simple as a Nespresso machine. The quality is great, and it feels like a durable machine that will hopefully last me awhile. My only real complaint is a minor one: I wish I had more control over the milk steamer. It's either on or off. But besides that, it works great. I do want to look into other espresso machines that do more eventually, but until I upgrade, I'm satisfied with this one. Definitely a good choice if you've wanted an espresso machine and looking for one that's not too cheap but not too expensive

I love this espresso machine. It does save money rather than going to chain stores. Once you get the hang of it you will enjoy your fresh beverages. As other reviews said, yes, it is a bit loud when turning on and when the water pumps through. The loud high pitched sound that comes from frothing is operational error on the people frothing incorrectly. If you do it incorrectly it is so bad you want eat plugs. Again once you get it figured out it is not loud like that at all. Don’t put the wand to far down in the pitcher, about 1/4” works well for me, tilt the pitcher and have wand point near the 3:00 position, that’s what I do and it works great. I’ve tried a few different beans in it now with each one I’ve had to adjust the grind size a bit otherwise it over or under processes (whatever u call it- to where when making the shot it’s not in the dark grey preferred area or it doesn’t make the full shot) I think it’s because some beans are more oily etc. anyway I did about two months of research before picking this machine and watching videos,reading reviews the whole 9, I’m very happy with my purchase and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for their own espresso machine. LOVE IT!!!

It was cheaper than most higher end espresso machines. This is due to the older technology. But older isn't bad. There are pros and cons to each machine. Was a little hesitant with the purchase of this machine due to the size and cost but after researching various brands and styles decided on this one. Fits a little close under cabinet but still manageable. Considering it has a grinder saves on space. Takes a little trial and error getting the proper ratio of grounds in the filter and the milk frothing process but gets better in a short time. Results is a very good at home espresso/ cappuccino anytime you want rather than what you would pay places like Starbucks. I've owned a mini espresso and a couple coffee/ espresso combos and have to say this is solid being mostly stainless steel and not a lot of plastic as others. I use this machine at least once a day and am very happy with it so far hoping the quality and longevity justifies the cost.

We are Starbucks addicts...as in go every day of the year. This machine is fun and easy to use and makes delicious espresso. It is going to save us so much money. The grinder can make a bit of a mess and it took us way too many times to calibrate the grind and volume but once we figured it out, we were thrilled! We make 6 shots a day. The machine is easy to clean and use even for a novice.

You know how when, you try the "healthy" version of a sauce, or a "fat free" version of a food to save some calories. But deep down you're really just craving a stinkin quesadilla? That is NOT the case when buying your own espresso machine, particularly a good one like this. We had amazing espresso all over Italy when we toured in August, and American coffee just wasn't hitting right anymore. So we did the logical thing... buy our own espresso maker. We bought this thing on Black Friday 2023, even though it was NOT on sale because the reviews were so consistently better than the units that WERE on sale. We literally haven't gone to Starbucks since purchasing (writing a little over a month later) and have zero cravings to do so. Literally none. And we used to go DAILY. Sometimes twice and shamefully even 3 times per day. Nope! Not anymore. Don't even feel the need or want. Mind you, we BOTH work FROM HOME about a block away from starbucks and WANT to take breaks to leave the house... Just not to a coffee shop anymore. Now. My fiance was a barista for like 8 years, and she knows her way around this thing. So I have a built in "coffee coach" and that is definitely an advantage. But to be honest, even learning how to make your own espresso from scratch would be a fun new hobby/craft if you're into that sort of thing. That would be just as enjoyable with the world wide web at your fingertips. There is one downside, making your own espresso is kind of messy and high maintenance. Not much can be done about that, it's just the nature of the beast. Still faster than going to the store though, so measure your own values. I didn't ACTUALLY think of it as an INVESTMENT because I thought the cravings would still be there and we would "break" and go back to coffee shops. But it truly is an investment, and we have already saved well over $100 in just the first month since purchasing, even after buying special beans and dairy free milks and creams. We boujee round here. But we'll genuinely save money and be net positive in just a few months. And I can't recommend it any more highly. Treat yoself... AND your friends and family... Just get it. This is my first espresso machine. After endless days/nights of researching the Breville Express Espresso came out on top. Ease of use, all in one(grinder, steam, storage. Setup out of the box was a breeze. After watching the tutorial included with the product and several YouTube videos. I made a great first cup of espresso! I’m sure after a few more uses I will perfect the perfect cup! Goodbye to long waits at coffee shop and hello to saving money!

I got tired of spending $100+ a week at my local Starbucks. If I was going to purchase an espresso maker, I definitely wanted a quality product. After researching multiple products, I decided on this Breville. It took me a few try’s to learn about grind levels and range pour. Once I figured it out, the quality of my espresso pour and taste became better and better. There are some great tutorial videos on YouTube. Overall the quality and taste of my espressos have been night and day in comparison to my local coffee shops. Making a fresh doppio in the morning has become one of my favorite things to do to start my day.

This machine is perfect for a person who loves coffee. I haven’t been to a coffee shop since I got this machine. And yes, it takes time and learning with practice makes perfect and I’ve definitely enjoyed the process still but no complaint so far and I love that. It came with a funnel and tablets. I'm somewhat of a newbie when it comes to making good quality espressos or other coffees. I had a low end espresso maker and did not know the differences between good espresso machines. I wanted to invest in a higher quality espresso that also had an integrated grinder. I did some research and Breville always as one of the higher quality brands. I found this model on sale at $650 and with some BestBuy rewards that I had, as well as other credit card rewards, I only ended up paying $260 for it. I'm very happy with this purchase as I can finally make quality and very flavorful espressos and Americanos. Its very easy to learn how to use it. I also purchased the Breville knock box for an easy cleanup of the grinds from the coffee filter. I highly recommend this Braville espresso machine that will save you space, time and money in the long run by not going to the over priced coffee shops.

Use this espresso machine almost for 3 years and had no issues, I’m just in love with my coffee now , mostly drink iced and it goes perfect for me, once you adjust all the settings you will fell in love with this machine. This machine is not for everyone because you have to make this espresso shot with good amount of pressure and also right now when I have a baby this machine makes mess on the table because you have to gring coffee and then make it to perfect height and it goes all over the place, just grounded coffee is everywhere and you need to clean it after each use, but , I really like this machine, and how my coffee tastes

You have a beautiful machine here. I've been using the original since 2019 and couldn't be happier with the espresso it creates. Because it is so simple to operate, anyone can become a barista, and I really miss having it while I am away from home. My cleaning sensor experience has been uneven. The sensor light will not turn off sometimes, even after I have completely cleaned it; other times, it will turn off at random. This has no effect on me because I just clean mine once a month. The espresso machine and the milk frother both operate beautifully, which is, after all, the most important thing.
