The built-in press makes the process cleaner. While, you can get other cheaper machines, the lack of pods will save you money in the long run and is better for the environment. The taste is great but is subjective to your taste. I gave this machine 5 stars based on getting the extended care warranty. Breville boilers break down after 2-3 years so the replacement plan is worth it.

Extremely happy I went with this model because of the integrated tamping, this saves you from making a huge mess.

My wife wants to make here Americano without thinking too much and I want the freedom to make a variety of espresso drinks and experiment with different beans. The Express/Impress model has enough variables to dial in whatever style you like.

So take this review with bias or not. I am jot an esoresso person, but my husband is. According to him, i "did real good" when picking out his surprise gift. He says that it's like a well verse toyota highlander not the prius we have been driving. From my perspective, it makes Good coffee and it's pretty!:)
