Does a great job at brewing. Coffee puck sometimes will stick when you take the porta filter off. Just getting the frothing down to a science is a challenge.

The automatic tamper is a great feature that shows if you have the correct amount of beans and learns over time to automatically dispense the right amount. Clean up is easy.

Made decent espresso and milk frother worked well…for about 5 months. The grinder system broke, the bolt came loose and fell into the grinding area, and after spending several hours on the phone with customer service, we ultimately had to send it in to be repaired. After receiving it back, 3 weeks later it has broken again. We haven’t even owned it for a full 6 months yet. Really surprised and disappointed in the quality of this machine, particularly given the cost and others good ratings.

This thing is great. Grinds well, and brews well. Wife loves it as it is easy to do once you figure out what grind size you like and what pulls the best.

I wanted so badly to love the Breville Express Impress but alas I'm not "impress"ed. My 2x tamp actually came out crooked on one of my fills. One of my other fills went over, like by a lot and I wasted good coffee on shaving the access. Two of my shot attempts, though in the "espresso range", poured out lopsided: runny on one side and barely a dribble on the other but yet the tamp was good and it looked even. (I had it on auto every time.) But, my big complaint is the Breville allowed the machine to run when the water reservoir was not even attached. That's scary and I'm sure not good for the machine. The Delonghi will not run and lights up when there is no water in the reservoir or when the reservoir is not in place. Sigh. The other issue I found was that the hot water spout was near the edge and made a mess when pouring water. I'm either getting the Prestigio or sticking to the la Specialista Arte.

Great starter machine. With a bit of effort, you can get an acceptable espresso pull for americano, latte,...
The only thing you really have to adjust is the grind - tamp, water temp, volume auto or semi-auto.
You can adjust temp, shot time if you wish, but in that case, maybe you should look at manual machines.
