I purchased the Breville as a gift for my wife. She has absolutely loved this machine and makes herself a cup every morning. I was worried it may be too complicated or hard to learn, but she picked it up in no time. The built in grinder is perfect for her coffee bar.

Are you ready to take your espresso and coffee love to the next level? THIS IS IT! Love this machine. We have owned for a few months now and are in love. We have improved our espresso game and love not having to grind our own beans anymore. We upgraded from a $250 Delongi and are very pleased. The steam if fantastic. This is the real deal coffee machine and a great value. Highly recommend. If you are on the fence this is your sign to get it, you will not be disappointed.

Bought this to curb my SB buying/drinking habit. Have been using this machine for a few months and I'm loving it. Takes a bit of getting to learn and configure depending on the coffee beans you have. Found my perfect setting and I haven't stopped running it.

Make Your Kitchen a Local Coffee Shop

After months and months of picking up and putting down the box, I finally purchased the Barista Express and was ready to jump into the world of of pretending I was a barista at the local coffee shop. Before opening the box, I sat back down and watched a few videos on the difference between the Express and Pro and about 2 hours later, I was back at Best Buy exchanging the express for the Pro. A big difference is the immediate heating system and the digital interface. Having the digital timer/display is a must when it comes to creating the perfect extraction. I've had so much fun trying out different types of beans. If you are always going to mix your espresso with milk or other flavors, the factory settings are probably okay. If you are really interested in getting into pulling the best shot possible, the digital readout is a must. Weighing and timing each bean type has made the process so much fun. Note: I don't think this thing can ever produce the perfect shot you would get with a truly professional grade espresso machine but its has been a blast trying.

I love this machine. It's very easy to use and the espresso tastes great. It was a learning curve to figure out the right settings for what I wanted, but once I figured it out it's been very simple to make drinks.

Well this is my first espresso machine. I am not a coffee nerd so I can’t speak to technical details but the machine works well so far. I have had it for couple of months now. For a first timer, it’s great to learn and hone the craft. The 2 main options to change are grind size and the coffee weight. So there are less variables to play with. Good stuff. I have been able to pull good shots from this machine. It’s more than MAM than the machine.

This machine is great, but depends on your tolerance to frustration and how much do you know about coffee. It's hard to get consistent results and dialing in your espresso without many extra tools like the scale, a distribution tool, and quite a few workarounds to get great coffee: running dummy shots to warm the group head, the porta filter and the cup is necessary for example, or your coffee will be warm at best, not hot (and this affects flavor). The grinder also needs adjusting the internal burr for a better grind. The steam wand works great, no complains there. But again, many coffees flushed down the drain without these tools, unless you really don't taste differences between a regular coffee and a really good espresso.

If you're not already in the habit of buying fresh whole bean coffee, do note that using grocery store coffee or the coffee you buy at Starbucks is not going to make espresso. There are good subscription services. I use Trade, but there are a few others. Maybe find a local coffee roaster if you can. This takes a little research and effort to make it worth the money but it's a great way to start getting into espresso.

Perfect purchase experience! Best buy is always effective delivery. This coffee machine is my cart for months. I ordered once it is on sale. And it worth every penny I paid. Not because it could make a cup of coffee But also it ignites me the eager to dig on how to make different types of coffee.

BaristaPro is an above-average espresso machine, offering a balance between ease-of-use and sophisticated features. However, if you're new to the world of espresso-making, there's a learning curve you'll need to consider. The steaming function is particularly challenging for beginners. There's definitely a skill level required to use it effectively, so if you're a newcomer, be prepared for a bit of practice. It delivers when it comes to making a good cup of espresso. Its functionality is generally smooth, but there are some areas where it could be improved. The grinder has a range of settings, but even at the lower end (around 3 or 4), the grind is just barely fine enough for a good espresso shot. This leaves me questioning the necessity of having up to 30 levels on the grinder, many of which seem to serve little practical purpose in day-to-day espresso making. The tamper that comes with the machine is somewhat small. While this might be advantageous for single shots, those looking for more extensive use may find it limiting. I personally would have preferred a slightly wider tamper for more precise tamping. The screen interface is user-friendly but falls short in terms of customization. You can only tweak a limited number of settings like temperature, grind size, flush, and scale mode. Advanced users may find this restrictive.Personal Experience:So far, the machine has been okay for me. However, if you're a beginner in the espresso game, you might want to think twice before taking the plunge. The limitations in tamper size, grinder settings, and customization options can be frustrating. The Breville BaristaPro is a solid choice for those with some experience in espresso-making. If you're a beginner, however, be prepared for a steep learning curve and some limitations in customization and accessories

Best kitchen gadget I’ve bought in awhile. The built in grinder has good grind, the timer on it (amount of grind) is inconsistent and if you’re a coffee purist would better be served weighing the grinds - but who has time for that. No coffee was tasting well anymore on my old drip brew or French press; making me spend 100s a month at local coffee shop. Now with this I’m saving trips to coffee shop and will pay for itself in a matter of months!

Love the speed of this machine . Heats water in less than 3 seconds and grinds expresso in 12 sec and then brews it in 30 seconds. Crazy ! Also the expresso is very good out of this maxhine . Wish I would have bought one sooner

Has been like a week, maybe I should wait more to write a review but oh my... It's been a great joy using this machine! The grinder has very fine adjustments. The retention is not bad at all. Heats up in like probably less than 2 seconds or so, which is crazy. Getting awesome fresh espresso is a great pleasure!
