Despite the positive reviews, I was skeptical of this product because it had a combination of several capabilities. I was surprised as it performed satisfactorily in each of its features. The microwave, baking, and air frying qualities performed well and to my satisfaction.

I purchased the Combi Wave to replace a larger Convection Oven/Microwave that I liked a lot. Initially, I thought the Breville might be too small, now I find it to be the perfect size for my needs. I could not wait to use the Air Fryer, ruined first batch of wings; the second time they were fabulous. The settings for cooking food are good, but I enjoy cooking so I make my own adjustments. Overall I am very pleased.

was looking for an air fryer/microwave combo to replace the microwave I had. this one has the three cook methods I use most all in one spot.
a couple of drawbacks - the clock is not a backlit led display and some of the controls for often used settings are inside the door
all in all, I am a big fan and glad I spent the extra money

Needed a replacement microwave and wanted an air fryer. While not the typical basket style air fryer, this cooks beautifully. Wish the directions had more air fry tips, but by watching the food its easy to figure out cooking times. Microwave great, convection oven makes perfect cookies and brownies. Quiet and looks great; doesn't take up too much space.

5 stars because of all the features - especially the air-fryer function. Works great and no need for a separate air-fryer to take up counter space. LOVE the soft-close door. Only drawback is no Timer function, which is a bummer if you're used to being able to set a timer directly on your microwave. BUT that wasn't enough of a drawback to outweigh all the awesome aspects of this microwave!

I’m not thrilled. It’s 1400W but doesn’t heat nearly as well as my old Sharp which was 1200W. I have to see it to more time than instructions call for. It also doesn’t have settings for specific foods such as soup or hot dogs. I will likely return it.

I had my previous microwave for about 15 years, a Kenmore Elite Convection Microwave. It served me well, but it started heating food unevenly. I was familiar with the Breville name, after owning 3 of their coffee makers and smart grinder. What a difference 15 years in technology make! I love that this microwave does not dry out your food as some have a tendency to do. I use the smart food button for bacon, it comes out crispy yet juicy every time. The air fryer is great for crispy French fries, and delicious guilt free chicken wings. Pizza has been hit or miss, the preset time has a tendency to overcook the cheese. I like the ability to use the oven feature on this to cook or heat up food without heating up an entire kitchen when I use my full size gas oven in the summer heat!. I am still experimenting with the combination cooking feature, but overall I’m glad I made this purchase.

This unit works really well as an air fryer and a microwave. Great for saving space. Tried a Panasonic 4 in 1 first and none of the functions were good. The Breville is also an inverter microwave so that takes a little getting used to but being able to adjust the time on air fryer function and saving counter space is worth it.

I think my review counts a little bit more. I’ve bought this Breville in June 2023. I’ve never had any issues with it, and I use it to bake, cook, grill, melt butter, chocolate etc. I am very positive this might be my best purchase I’ve made at Best Buy.

My wife and I really like this combination microwave. It is very quiet and the controls are easy to use. The cool down timers is a great safety feature to keep from getting scalded. The air fryer mode works real well also. Highly recommend.

My microwave died on Christmas. We picked this one because of its size and features. More than just a microwave it is a convention oven, air fryer and has tons of precise settings for melting butter, heating frozen food and cooking meat.

Nice device. I do miss having a timer and easy to read clock. It works well for two people as air fryer but is too small for a bigger family.

Bought this microwave while waiting for our old oven/microwave to be repaired. Everyone loves it so much that we are leaving it in the kitchen even though our old one is fixed.
Lots of great features and easy to use. The only complaint would be the knobs are plastic but they are not bad.

Air Fryer is a Gimmick

I'll start with the bad... The Air Fryer is a complete gimmick and uses a solid pan that is obviously made of plastic. The lowest air-frying temperature is 400° and the highest temp is 450° which doesn't leave very many options to cook. I had cut up and marinated an entire salmon filet to make jerky and was really disappointed to find out the lowest temperature is far too hot for making jerky anything. I don't understand why this was called an air fryer and not just leave it at convection oven. I also diced potatoes and used the air fryer. They turned out ok, but took about 30 minutes and were somewhat chewy.
That's mainly all of the bad bits I've seen so far, everything else is as stated in all the other reviews. The door is super quiet and the microwave works really well.

I love this combination convection oven/microwave/air fryer. I have used it for each function and it works well. My only complaint is that the clock is hard to see. The numbers are black on a dark gray background. I especially like the soft-touch close oven door.

Breville 3in1 combi is a well built product. Its a microwave/convectionoven/ air fryer. I'm new to combination appliances and this one has some neat features that lead me to choose it. My family is able to use the combi for a few different meals and it cooks well and evenly. The soft close door feature is great for late night snacks. There is a button called "a bit more" to heat your food more if needed. It also switches between the functions to cook your meals. The combi is a little bigger in size then the microwave it replaced so you can make some meals in it but I don't think it will replace my oven. Overall its a product that you can see and feel the quality in it. We are still experimenting with the features and what else we can cook in it, but its a an appliance you can feel confident in.

We are extremely pleased with this oven, having had a different company’s oven previously (and it broke twice). This model does not “feel” cheap when you use it. The features are easy to locate/see and use (not an unlit black screen). The instruction manual is easy to read.
We had to increase some of the cooking times just a little. (See Tip #2 below)
The open space on and around the unit is important because it does get very hot. (Not a critique, but important information when considering where to set it.)
We wish it had come with a “open net”-style pan insert for the air fry feature. So far we have not been able to locate one online that fits the 9” diameter AND is microwave compatible (see Tip #2 below).
It does not have a dehydrator, if you care. (We don’t.)
Tip #1: use parchment paper or a 2nd cheap pan inserted in their pan to simplify clean-up.
Tip #2: when using air fry, it gives 3 minutes of microwave first. If the food will need a little more than the default 10 minutes, increase the time (by turning the knob) before it reaches the end of the cycle so you don’t get the microwave part a second time.
