Saving Space with Microwave/Convection Option
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good. I really appreciate the microwave/ convection option and am learning to cook my favorite food - french fries -- with the airfryer. That may sound silly, but crispy on the outside is serious business. I initially wanted to go with the "Joule" oven, but I needed the microwave and didn't want to add anything to my counter space.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not thrilled. It’s 1400W but doesn’t heat nearly as well as my old Sharp which was 1200W. I have to see it to more time than instructions call for. It also doesn’t have settings for specific foods such as soup or hot dogs. I will likely return it.

Breville Combi Wave 3 in 1
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Packed full of useful preprogrammed features and reduces the clutter of multiple appliances. Even with a high price point it’s multiple functions in one unit is worth it.

Good Concept but Product is Questionable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brand new (quick next day) delivery. The BestBuy delivery folks "Roadie" (no options for other shipment) left my delivery outside on a downtown city sidewalk in the misting rain. There was zero attempt by the delivery person to contact me saying they had arrived. I received a email saying it had been delivered and immediately went down and found it there; the was no human with it and no indication of any marked delivery vehicle. The only indication of delivery windows was literally "before 9 PM" which translated into "sometime today" and there was no ability to track or guess when. BestBuy refunded 5% for the sidewalk abandonment but their customer support has no good was to get feedback to the delivery "service" so take serious consideration about delivery when purchasing online "for delivery" because "to me" should be implied but is not. I will no deduct stars for the delivery experience. My review is as a very brand new user to this product: my very immediate reactions/experience and then examine the menu options of the appliance that are not visible online or even through the manufacture's website. Easy to unbox and was packaged very well and the box has cutout handles to make carrying it easy. So far, easy to set the time, and cooking/measuring units. A little confusing with regard to what all needed/needs to be removed: there is a square patch midway back on the right side of the interior that appears like it could come off or may not. Support wait time is 30 minutes min to ask them but nothing in the manual identified the square patch or if it a shipping cover. I reheated coffee in it first to undo the now-cold coffee from needing to move things on my counter. It worked, but a whole lot of "new" smell and the cooling fan ran after use as a microwave which was unexpected. A couple hours later, first attempt to use the oven feature to heat a sandwich produced visible smoke during pre-heating and it was not from the food, making me question if the above-mentioned square panel is a cover and if it should be removed. Also, the manual does not say 1) whether to remove the (plastic/nylon) turntable wheels during use as an oven or 2) whether or not to put your items in the oven during pre-heating, only that one should use the "trivet" aka wire rack with legs with the oven. The manual is lacking on details for basic operation and the screen doesn't always serve as a thorough guide either. I skipped the 30 minute phone call and ate a cold sandwich. After, I looked through the menu screens and found some odd things with the user interface experience and the options present on it: There is no "just a timer" which every digital microwave has had forever for 3+ decades now. The cook time adjustment knob works on increments of 10 seconds on the main microwave screen but in 5 second increments when using the "cook menu" button and selecting "reheat" and then "by time." So it can do 5 seconds, but the appliance is not told to use the same increment to add/subtract time units on all screens. Minor quirk, but it is a UI inconsistency. The "From Frozen" menu offers exactly three options: chicken, meat, and fish. There is no general "poultry" selection or any submenu below meat for beef vs pork vs lamb, and there is no breaded vs fresh frozen fish submenu breakout. It does says to use the pan for any of those options, but never whether to remove the rolling wheels. Oddly missing on the frozen menu at all are options for pizza, vegetables (aka steam in the bag type), breaded chicken nuggets/strips, and french fries; all of those are common items. The "cook food" menu has several items listed but it is lacking for both items and indicators of start state. For example, there is a "pizza" option but doesn't indicate or ask on the screen the correct starting temperature of the pizza: frozen, room temperature, or from the refrigerator pre-made deli style. (Some details and guidance are important and would be appreciated). Similarly, the vegetable options (hard vs soft are the two types) don't suggest or ask cold vs room temperature vs frozen either; frozen missing there could be written off as belonging under "from frozen" but as noted above, the frozen menu only gives three general options. Missing too is an option for cooking soup, despite soup being on the defrost menu Absent too is are cook or preset oven option for raising or proofing dough or handling any baked bread goods: muffins, rolls, biscuits, or a loaf of any variety of bread. Those must be assumed would be entered by time on the oven menu that offers temperature and time options but no indication of whether to put your items in during preheating or not. The "cook bacon" option only limits choosing only up to four slices despite the size of the oven and the included pan/wire rack so forget cooking bacon for the family or for a morning guest; and, unlike other selectable item screens, when selecting bacon there is guidance for what to use for a pan or tray (or plate?). One other thing to note is the topside mounted heating element. Many cooking options display to not cover foods, so at some point the element will become spattered or dirty. The manual makes no mention of how to clean it and it does not appear to be removable in order to clean it better. This may be common among all devices with a top mounted element, but when going beyond low-end appliances improved designs are expected. To sum this up, I am so far not impressed at all. The appliance seems like a first run attempt at providing a multi-type cooking ability via a single purchase that potentially was nudged to market by product delivery managers on a deadline so while making it part way to good, consistency was skipped and on more thorough options that would have taken it to a notably stellar level were simply omitted. As noted, I've yet to cook with the device, but if able to reach a human on their support line will amend or change the review if appropriate. Until then I'm considering returning it and looking for a more finished product.

The art of cooking
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this product. It’s very easy to use and it cooks so many different foods in different ways. It’s a microwave, convection oven and air fryer. It saves time preparing meals, and cooks a lot faster than a conventional oven. On a hot day when you cook with this it won’t heat up your house like conventional ovens do. In the winter time when the weathers bad outside you can actually use it to grill meat instead of having to use your outdoor grill. It’s very versatile.

Breville Combo Wave 3 in 1
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had originally purchased the previous model, they made a safety adjustment on the new model. every time you want to open the door you must push the lock button to open the door witch Kida is a pain, but I get it. if a little kid opens the door and grabs stuff they could get burned. that's why I only gave it a 4 out of 5 star review. other wise its a great microwave 3 in 1. a musts for the kitchen to save space. especially love the soft close door way cool !

Awesome Product!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this Microwave Combi! My family uses this a lot. I purchased it in April and have no regrets. My granddaughter makes personal pizza's using Rhodes dinner rolls and they are awesome. We use all the functions and I actually like the air fryer better than other air fryers I have had. I would like to find a replacement for the crisper. My granddaughter dripped it and dented it. It still works though. Breville - You Rock! Do you sell a full size oven?

Well-Made Kitchen Appliance
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm very happy with the Breville CombiWave. While it does take a bit of studying to learn its features--and the manual isn't always helpful--I'm finding it increasingly intuitive to use. I love the easy-closing door. I like that you can change the sound of the chimes (or mute them altogether). I love that you can make a favorite of the most complicated setting you use most often. And I love its flexibility. I do wish the oven had a brighter light inside to check on food and that it had a more spacious interior, but this is a very well-made appliance. I am really enjoying it.
