This is a high quality toaster. I don't know what else they could do to make it more functional. It is prepared for everything: toast, bake, broil, etc., with frozen or thawed ingredients. Being lazy the front pull out crumb tray was a big draw for me. Now I actually clean my toaster. I've got a small kitchen so the size is a bit much for my counter, but I knew that going in. On the up side, the size allows it to take an entire pizza. I had to secure the power cord to my frig to keep it from coming in contact with the unit exterior and getting damaged - again, a counter size issue. It could very well be the last toaster I ever buy.

Thisbis a wonderful toaster oven. Over the years i have owned many toaster ovens. None match the quality of this oven. For the price i had high expectations. The quality of each cooking feature exceeded my expectations. Also, amazed with how easy it is to clean. There are no crevases for food the accumulate. Also when you look into it it looks as if there is no glass door. I am very pleased that i finally decided to spelled the money and buy this item.

I bought this for my elderly Mom, for its quality and simplicity of use. I think this meets those requirements very well. However, the instruction manual is a little unclear on certain things. For example, once the timer rings, does that mean that the unit is off, or is it simply a timer and the user has to do something to turn the oven off? Maybe I am unfamiliar with the general operations of a toaster oven, but it would have helped this new user to have the instructions say that the unit is off once the timer has rung, instead of just saying that the screen simply turns blue.

The Breville compact smart oven has an attractive streamlined appearance. The instruction booklet is clear and precise and clarifies issues well. Once you have read the instructions the oven is easy to use and toasts, bakes and reheats well. Bagels come out much better than in a regular toaster. The setting knobs enable you to adapt brownness and the number of slices easily. We are very pleased so far and look forward to using the broil and roast functions.

Pretty straightforward settings and operations, like the fact it has some dials. We use it a lot, everything from pizza to toast, sandwiches, chicken. Glad we got it. Fits nicely on our counter (we got the smaller one) - perfect for 2 people, but can accommodate for more. No problems with the pickup at Best Buy.

Not too big, not too small, good looking, heats up fast, great features, easy to use, easy to clean... what’s not to like?

My old Black and Decker toaster/oven stopped working so I needed another. My daughter suggested this Breville and the choice couldn't be better. It toasts two slices of bread perfectly on setting 4. I could't be happier.

This is a small compact smart oven good for quick cooking like baking small amounts, toasting bread and bagels and broiling a small amount of meat or fowl. Always dependable. Toasts bread and bagels quickly and perfectly. Does not occupy a large foot print on counter top.

Seriously, if you're only baking for one or two people, don't even bother with a big oven. This thing heats up super fast and it beeps when it's done pre-heating so you know when to put your food in. The settings are easy to learn. It's not as small as a typical toaster oven, but it's smaller than a small microwave. The only downside is it is expensive. But if you use your toaster oven enough, this thing is definitely worth the extra cost.

I read lots of reviews on toasters and finally settled on the Breville. One wouldn't think of normally buying a toaster from Best Buy but I had a bunch of reward zone points which brought this pricey unit down to a reasonable price. My only regret is that I didn't buy the next model with convection feature. My old toaster oven had it and it does make a bigger difference than I thought.

I decided to upgrade from the old school, standard toaster oven to this one and we haven't looked back. The toast feature of number of slices x darkness toasts your bread perfectly every time without having to constantly crank the timer to add more time. The bake feature warms up leftovers quickly and evenly. We were concerned about the size, as our kitchen is not very big, but the features outweigh the larger size. The lone (sort of) drawback, the protective prongs extend quite far off the back of the oven, taking up more space (though it is for safety purposes).

Overall ok - It does toast bread at repeatable quality. Toast is generally darker on top and lighter on the bottom. Heating rods tend to heat unevenly. worst thing is the cheap springy sound the door makes as it slams shut, this closure mechanism is truly disappointing and should have been reworked since this is an important touch point. The two knobs that control the function, time and temperature are very intuitive and easy to use.

We researched a ton of options to replace our old toaster oven and this one fit he bill! Small enough to fit on a normal kitchen counter but much more powerful and intuitive than your standard toaster oven. We have yet to use some of the cooler features like the Pizza or Baking option but so far for reheating, broiling, and toasting this thing rocks!

Great size toaster oven. Works well for broiling steaks and toasting bagels. Was lucky to get a very nice oven at a truly special price.

Don't mess around, spend the money on the right tool for the right job. I cook chicken in this beast no problem and it handles toast as necessary. I don't really know what I would use a regular oven for any more. If I had a bigger kitchen I would have gone with the convection version(s) but this model size is just fine for my needs.

Toasts evenly and warms up food quickly. Easy to use and slide out crumb tray makes for easy cleaning. Square design allows for bigger heating space but handle sticks to far out.

compact and does not take up a lot of counter space. Easy to use with the options of continued cooking.. can change time and temperature with ease......serves my needs well as I cook for one or two .......I enjoy all the Breville products and look to them first for any purchases

Really digging this oven as a replacement to our Microwave. The timer and setting functions are great, and make it really easy to use.

This was a gift. I was told they are very happy with it and it works great. I would also buy it for myself.
