Nice looking product and well designed without a bunch of extra buttons - quiet - seems to be a great product if you don’t need a large-sized microwave oven. It would be nice if the clock numbers were dimmer at night. The proof of quality is with longevity- we’ll see how that goes. My last microwave oven lasted 30 years.

Purchased for brand reputation and small size. Looks good, doesn’t take up a lot of space and very quiet when operating. The door is a soft close, however, after several months of use, the door latch gets stuck in the open position and it needs to be slammed shut. That is disappointing.

This small but mighty microwave works well for all kitchen needs. We are a household that uses it heavily. We feed our dogs fresh and raw food so it gets used several times a day to warm their food as well as the amount we use it for human food. it is holding up better than more expensive larger microwaves that we have purchased in the past. It is worth every penny. Also we love the soft close door. The compact size means it takes up minimal counter space. I would highly recommend this one for any family.

My old microwave died, so began the lookout for a new one. Did some research online and saw good reviews for this Breville. I have one of their countertop ovens and really like the quality and simplicity of the design. This is no different: seems high quality and easy to use. I like the slightly raised on/off buttons and the knob to turn for specific minutes of cooking time. Can turn the beeping off easily if that bothers you. The door shuts quietly, as they say, AND it runs very quietly too. (Or perhaps my old one was loud.) Yes, it was pricey and not available everywhere but Best Buy had it, delivered promptly and I'm a happy camper.

Door and microwave itself is very quiet. You don't have to slam the door. I love the knob for changing the time (just like Breville's toaster/air fryer oven. Only thing is pricey.

This is a great product. Simple, easy to use, effective. It reminds me of the commercial microwaves I used in professional kitchens for years. Built well, everything feels great. No unnecessary buttons. Just does a great job cooking food.

Giving this 4 stars with a caveat. I owned one of these prior to this purchase, (LOVED IT) but a guest broke a piece off the inside door (sleeve caught on closure) and we could not fix. So ordered another one to replace. The new one was loud for some reason (the first one was the quietest I'd ever had and loved it) and the second time I used it, it made a popping noise. Nope... took it back.
I contacted Breville re both incidents and it took quite a while for them to get back and they kept asking for numbers that I could not locate on the item. I sent them photos and numbers and they kept asking for info, so not so much for their process of customer service. Hard for a family to be w/o this device while company figures things out on their own business time.
Easier to return.
I think second experience was an aberration so I do recommend this device (although I just ended up buying a small cheap one for now to replace) and customers should know that normally, it is a very nice looking microwave (not compact in my view, but not huge), super quiet close and super quiet cooking (with no beep option which we also loved) and if you get anything that doesn't function that way - take it back.

When my longtime microwave died, I did my homework and bought an LG microwave at Best Buy. The ratings and price were good, though when I started using it I found the keypad was small and hard to see.
I noticed a scratch on the top of the machine, so I went back to Best Buy to get another. that's when I noticed the Breville microwaves. They were expensive, and the smallest (0.9 cu.ft.) was $60 more than my LG. But I loved the user-friendly keypad and the "soft-close" doors, found on all the Breville models.
I bought that 0.9 cu.ft. model, and am so glad I did, it's so much better than the LG. The keypad with it's round user-friendly buttons, the soft-close door with it's suction-like technology, and the great looking design ALL convince me I made the right decision by going with Breville instead of LG. (Thank God for that scratch I noticed on the LG!)
The one complaint I guess, which is not related to Breville, is due to going with the 0.9 cu.ft. model instead of the 1.6 cu.ft. one I had. I'm moving, and needed to downsize in my kitchen. Due to the decrease in power, I need to cook things longer than with my old Panasonic model, but no big deal.
I'm very happy with the Breville microwave. It's a bit more expensive, but it's worth every penny. The design, including (especially) the keypad with it's round soft buttons and the "soft-close" door, shows the design engineers knew their stuff.
I know it's a cliche', but it's so true here- you get what you pay for. And in this case it's Quality.

Very, very user friendly. The reheat function works great at the default setting. Tried it on a pre-cooked refrigerated hot dog, came out perfect. Also a plate of pre-cooked room temp French fries, perfect temp w/o ruining them. You can adjust the time and temp while its running. Baked a potato (1) using the potato function, perfect. This microwave costs more than double than the one I was going to purchase, had to think about it for a while, I'm glad I spent the extra money. My wife and daughter love it.

This is quite compact compared to what we've been used to...which makes it perfect (we needed something that isn't like another oven...we only use it to reheat, it's not like we really cook with it...). Wife's favorite feature: when you close the door, it won't slam shut. It closes like a soft landing.

This is such a good product! You can adjust the time with the little knob to get things just right. The door has this clever closing mechanism which I still don't understand. You close it gently and it finishes by itself. The buttons are helpful. Mostly, it just looks beautiful. I love that it has a handle and not a button you have to whack to open it. I might have to buy another one of the just to save for later.

I can't say enough good things about it. The soft door close and open is great - no more slamming and clicking doors.
No "loud beeps" - just turn the dial to set the cook time, and you can adjust it on the fly. When it's done, it just turns itself off.
It's very quiet as it cooks.
Very sturdy and well made, seems to be highest quality - like appliances used to be made. The outside is real metal.
I think it's well worth the higher price, crossing fingers it's the last one we'll ever buy.
Thank you Breville!
