I can't say enough good things about it. The soft door close and open is great - no more slamming and clicking doors. No "loud beeps" - just turn the dial to set the cook time, and you can adjust it on the fly. When it's done, it just turns itself off. It's very quiet as it cooks. Very sturdy and well made, seems to be highest quality - like appliances used to be made. The outside is real metal. I think it's well worth the higher price, crossing fingers it's the last one we'll ever buy. Thank you Breville!

This is quite compact compared to what we've been used to...which makes it perfect (we needed something that isn't like another oven...we only use it to reheat, it's not like we really cook with it...). Wife's favorite feature: when you close the door, it won't slam shut. It closes like a soft landing.

This is such a good product! You can adjust the time with the little knob to get things just right. The door has this clever closing mechanism which I still don't understand. You close it gently and it finishes by itself. The buttons are helpful. Mostly, it just looks beautiful. I love that it has a handle and not a button you have to whack to open it. I might have to buy another one of the just to save for later.

It works. It is great size. I almost took off a star because the door could open just a smidge more. But I have at an odd angle so I left it at 5. Breville is a quality product.

The quietest door on a microwave I’ve ever had. Option to mute all beeping is fantastic. It’s perfect for when you need quiet. It’s also high quality and aesthetic. Thought I’d not like the dial vs keypad I was used to but I took to it no problem. The only think keeping it from a full 5 stars is that although a large plate fits in it, it does so just barely. An extra inch all around would have made it easier to get stuff in and out.

Very, very user friendly. The reheat function works great at the default setting. Tried it on a pre-cooked refrigerated hot dog, came out perfect. Also a plate of pre-cooked room temp French fries, perfect temp w/o ruining them. You can adjust the time and temp while its running. Baked a potato (1) using the potato function, perfect. This microwave costs more than double than the one I was going to purchase, had to think about it for a while, I'm glad I spent the extra money. My wife and daughter love it.

This microwave is very compact and much quieter than my older one. I have to say that the soft close door is one of my favorite features and I did not expect to have it on such an inexpensive microwave. I would definitely recommend it!

Door and microwave itself is very quiet. You don't have to slam the door. I love the knob for changing the time (just like Breville's toaster/air fryer oven. Only thing is pricey.

Purchased from Best Buy in January, 2020. The lifespan of this microwave was disappointing. We appreciated the simplicity of the controls, and relatively low height which made it possible to store this microwave in an under countertop microwave shelf. Unfortunately, within the year, the soft close door would no longer shut without slamming. We contacted Breville and were sent a replacement under warranty. Soon after, we began running into similar issues intermittently, but lived with it to avoid the hassle of returning yet another microwave. After 2 years and 4 months split across two microwaves, one of the door latches broke off (pictured). The latch likely triggers a sensor to operate the microwave, and without it, the microwave is completely disabled. We contacted Breville and were told that we were out of warranty, would need to pay $109 to send in and repair, and could not get the part to fix on our own. Buyer Beware.

Bought this microwave because it was billed as having a quiet door. Our previous ovens all made a loud noise when closed due to strong springs in the latch. This Breville is indeed quiet to open and close and is the quietest microwave we’ve ever owned when cooking. The controls are easy to set and it seems to heat better than other similarly power rated models. We were impressed.

The unit is attractive and fits in well with a stainless kitchen design scheme. Replacing the keypad with the dial and 30 second button may seem weird if you are accustomed to the keypad design but saves space and time. As a counter-top unit it has been thoughtfully designed to be deep rather than wide, preserving counter space. I would trade one of the program buttons for a timer.

This microwave is a very good quality unit. The soft close feature is extremely nice. I like the fact you can turn off the audible beep on the unit as well. I am concerned however for the longer term if the door system might fail permanently as sometimes the door will not close in the soft mode and you have to slam the door to get it to close. Just concerned long term.

I'm really happy with this microwave. I have had consistent trouble with several different microwaves this past year. I already have and love my Breville oven so I thought why not try a Breville microwave? I got it from Best Buy on time with no trouble. So happy I did. It's just big enough and powerful enough for all my needs. It also feels really solid and well built.
