Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the Compact Wave Soft Close microwave's small size, quiet door, ease of use, and quiet operation. Many appreciate the soft-close door, the simple controls, and the efficient heating. A small number of customers mentioned the lack of a standalone timer as a drawback. Overall, the positive feedback on numerous features outweighs the limited negative comments.

I wanted a microwave small enough to fit in a tight space on my counter, but still powerful enough to meet expectations. This model is easy to use...I love the dial to set the time...and it is good quality.

SMALL BUT ROOMY – LIKE MAGIC

SMALL BUT ROOMY – LIKE MAGIC REVIEW: Breville - the Compact Wave™ Soft Close 0.9 Cu. Ft. Microwave – Silver BEST BUY Tech Insider Network SUMMARY: Plenty of room for everyday use. Nice compact size and easy controls. Does a good job warming and everything that a microwave should do. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a premium microwave in a small package. BACKGROUND First, I love Breville appliances, I have 6 between work and home. When we remodeled my son’s kitchenette our large Breville Microwave would not fit in the assigned spot so we used an old college dorm microwave as a placeholder. Then this little guy came along and we could not be happier. It is about the same exterior dimensions as our cheap dorm microwave, but somehow there seems to be much more room on the inside. It is a perfect match for our mini Breville toaster oven. MY UTILIZATION I have to confess, we are not big microwave cookers. We use it daily for softening butter, ice cream, etc. My son that lives with us has minor impairment, and he was able to figure it out on the first try to heat up microwave mac and cheese. UNBOXING: INITIAL IMPRESSIONS: Very well packaged, a little hard to get out of the box, but that is normal so no dings there. There was a giant “SPARK” when we plugged it in that was a little concerning, but all seems fine. PERFORMANCE: Plenty of power for all attempted tasks. I would even go as far as saying it is faster and more powerful than our built in microwave (from another mfg) that came with our kitchen package. EASE OF USE: Here is how I use a microwave. I put something in, press start. If I need more time I press Start again. If this is how you use a microwave then you are all set. It does allow you to select different food types, and this is my only minor complaint. I’m so used to Breville being more intuitive. To select a Food Type, I only have options like F1,F2,F3, and they “key” to these codes is on the inside of the door, instead of the LCD display. Personally I would have liked to see more sophisticated settings on the LCD like on its big brother. SUMMARY: Big inside space, small outside space, plenty of power, and minor complexity for advanced cooking.

I had researched several brands but was squeamish when I saw reviews about microwaves that just stopped working, fires, burnt insides etc. The best features of this Breville is that the design is totally and refreshingly different. First off I can fit a full size dinner plate inside. The door shuts quietly you don't have to slam it. There is a mute button to silence the bells. The front panel has large buttons so you don't need glasses to operate. The number panel is eliminated you can press the 30 second button and cancel with the stop button which are easy to touch. This is the best microwave for people with nimble figures and shortcomings of vision.!!!! I cannot see why someone without these issues would also enjoy it's ease of use. BUY THIS MICROWAVE

I inherited a microwave from a friend when I moved to a new place and I had not realized how much small design deficiencies can irritate me. Things like noisy doors that don't close and open easily, confusing settings, and general lack of care for aesthetics detract from the joy of daily life. The Breville Compact Wave SOFT CLOSE(!) Microwave solved all of these issues for me. It's really nice looking, the door is quiet except for a nice confirming "click" and it does soft close. You can set the buttons to be silent (nice!) and the program settings include a "food menu" with graphic explanations on shown when you open the door. Low-tech, but cool in my opinion. Additionally, there are buttons for: Reheat, Popcorn, Beverage and Defrosting. Depending on what feature you're using, you can specify ounces, cups, or quantity. The time setting is a dial. Very nice as well. It's easy to use and attractive, and it cooks as expected.

The Breville CompactWave Soft Close Microwave is simply one of the best (if not the best) microwaves out there. We love the soft-close feature of the door. No more slamming and loud noise. The way it heats the food is also innovative as it seems to vary the heating power which prevents the food from overcooking. The modern-looking design is pleasing to see, evoking a sense of high quality. We're hoping this would last a long time, as the microwave it replaced was already 4 years old and it's still doing okay.

I've had this microwave since 2022, and it still works like new. I have 2 teenagers who use it constantly. Door closes quietly, easy to use and not noisy at all. And an added plus-it looks great on my counter!

I love the sleek look of this microwave along with the soft close door. It's performance is like no other I have owned. It has an easy to navigate instruction panel along with great preset buttons. The stainless steel interior is beautiful and is my first time purchase of one of this kind and is a joy to behold. The power is on point and I find myself using less power to complete many tasks. This Breville microwave Is one of my best kitchen helpers and I will in the future always seek this brand

While I am still feeling deep remorse over the loss of my stainless steel Emerson microwave, I appreciate my Breville. It’s smaller and less wattage than my Emerson, but it is adequate. The potato feature dos not work flawlessly, you must dial back the time or you will end up with a hollow shell with no potato inside. The potato feature aside, the Breville looks nice, the spin dial instead of having to punch digital numbers is a welcome experience. The quiet close feature of the door eliminates the fun of your loved ones slamming it - the look of pure satisfaction on your face will say it all. Finally, you’ll not miss the ding-ding-ding when the timer goes off, instead replaced with the word “end” blinking as a reminder until you remove your item. It may not be the most memorable use of $200, but it will be far better than most stuff you’ve wasted that amount. So don’t hesitate, and stay away from the new Emerson, Toshiba and all the other sub-par equipment on the market.

This microwave suits us to a "T"! It is a decent size, warms evenly, is not doused with bells and whistles, and it's really quiet! You can even turn off it's "ding"! Just enough for us. Love it!

So far, this microwave has exceeded my expectations. It's quiet when the door closes and one can program it not to beep when the heating cycle is complete. So no more worrying about making noise at 2am when heating up whatever your craving is. I's compact, well suit and the style will compliment any modern appliance in your kitchen.

After having multiple cheap microwave breaking down in us we decided to invest in a Breville. So while it was costlier than average models, it is worth every penny. Quality build at it's finest, It's nice to look at, it's quite, and the self closing door never seems to get boaring to look at. It also makes the best popcorn.

Great “small” microwave. Got this after our slightly larger and fancier model broke when my child inadvertently microwaved something with metal … now she knows not to! This new microwave is simple and effective, fits all our plates, and looks nice too. Highly recommend it. If you just need a microwave to heat things up or defrost, this one is great.

The look of this Breville is the best we had so far. We bought this because we needed a smaller one on the corner of our kitchen. The most attractive feature is the silent closing of the door. There is no loud bang when you close it. The best one we have owned!
