I thought this item would help with fine tuning the amount of coffee (for consistency) to use and possibly support as a guide for tamping - it does neither of these functions.

Posted .We're sorry to hear of your disappointment with the Dosing Funnel. As noted in the description of the product, the Dosing Funnel attachment for the portafilter prevents coffee grinds from overflowing, to help reduce mess and waste. Less mess, less waste.
