So I know it's kind of silly to dock a star on something that hasn't happened, but it's kind of a big one for us. The heating element is exposed on the bottom of the unit, so one day, if heating a pizza, or something and it drips on it, I imagine smoke, fire, or burnt tough to clean situation will ensue. Like I said, it's not happened yet and there's a chance that my worries are unwarranted, but as of right now this is a 5 star unit for us. We love ever bit of it so far. Minus the potential design flaw, that is not even really a design flaw, just a fear of ours.

Love Breville

I just bought the Mini and placed it on a shelf in my pantry (not on my kitchen counter!). For short baking or toasting it works great. If I am cooking something for a long time (30+) minutes, I just sit it on the sink. Works great! Does everything my larger one does, except for the convection. Don't waste your money on another brand. And, don't purchase it on Amazon. They charge way too much! This is worth every penny...plus!

I had the same Breville toaster oven for at least 10 years but then it didn’t work anymore. Went to Best Buy and got the same oven and use it every day.
