I never spent much on a coffee machine. I am now sold why you spend a bit more on quality. You will not be sorry with this but. A quality product that delivers excellent flavor.

The Carafe could stay warmer longer. Excellent coffee maker.

Gold brew setting is great. But its hottest when you make a FULL pot.

The FIRST time I purchased this coffee maker, I was so determined to like it that I was not willing to write a bad review. The system allows lots of adjustment. The timer function is great. All the temperature settings are great if you have the inclination to mess with them. We tried lots of adjustments and found it quite interesting. Then the first unit failed. Something about overheating - a "unit too hot" warning flashed on the screen. Should have wrote a review then to warn others, but thought I've give them a second chance. We tested our water meticulously and found it to be on the very soft side of the scale. There was no mineralization in the water reservoir or above the brewing basket on the nozzles. On to #2. This ran for a while and then the pump failed! This device has a water pump, and a heating element. Amazing idea actually, if it worked all the time. Unit #3 Came direct from Breville and the second unit went BACK to them. Worked as it should for 3 or 4 months and then it started brewing in a painfully slow manner. We provided the much-needed patience as we really wanted coffee and did not want to screw with the process of returning another one of these machines. Then, one weekend morning the all-too-familiar "unit too hot - let cool" flashed up on the screen and it was dead. I've returned our third and LAST Breville Precision coffee maker, never to buy another. Let me offer a small tip/advice to you... save yourself the aggravation and do the very same thing.

Once you get used to this Precision Brewer you will love it. If you are a Folgers coffee drinker don't bother buying this machine. I bought mine open box and it was like new.

It does the job as expected. Has a large variety of volume of brewed coffee from single cup to large group. Like that we can program our own brew cycle. Brews rapidly and has the important drip stop function.

Bought this to replace an old kitchenaid. Perfect!

Once up and going brews a great pot of coffee and quickly

The coffee maker makes good coffee. Unfortunately, when brewing, the coffee sporadically fails to go through the lid and runs all over the cabinet. I contacted Breville service. They were responsive, and sent out a new carafe and lid. It worked a few days, and again failed, leaking all over our cabinets. Other reviews complain of the same problem, and inability to clean the lid. Water stays inside the lid sloshing around, and does not drain out. It is a good coffee maker except for the lid. After repeated complaints from consumers they have failed to correct the issue. I got tired of standing over the coffee maker while it brewed poised to press the “cancel” button when it spilled onto the counter. I lost all faith in the product and would not recommend it until they correct the lid problem.

Have just used it for a single cup so far. If you do a single cup, you don't use the carafe. For the water reservoir, you only put as much water in it as the current brew you're making because all the water is used.

Easy to use. We referee the pitcher for ice coffee.

We have owned many Breville products in the past and have been very happy with our purchases. This product, however, is definitely not worth the hype. It seemed to work very well for the first 1-2 weeks and made great coffee, but that is when we started to have issues. After 2 weeks of daily use it completely stopped working and we had to descale to make it somewhat functional again. Our water is moderately hard, but I have never had to descale a coffee maker so soon after a new purchase. Also, the “drip” feature typically sprays, resulting in an overflow of coffee grounds around the filter and into our coffee. Not worth the price. Very disappointed.

It's a solid, smooth-working machine, HOWEVER, maybe I am not a true gourmand, but this coffee tastes EXACTLY the same as made by a cheap coffee maker... And it's not even hot after like 30 min! Carafe doesn't hold temperature well and doesn't have a warming plate... There's a tip in instructions to wash the carafe with hot water before brewing coffee, I'm not doing that, I was hoping the machine would take care of my coffee temperature! Also, I like it when the house smells like coffee and this machine conceals the aroma. To be fair, it's quiet, powerful, and solid, has some fancy options like "blooming", but to me, it's not worth $300. Returning.

We were skeptical in purchasing this pot. We are loving it. It took a few adjustments to figure out exactly how we liked our coffee. We enjoy strong coffee and in this pot we don't have any problems with the grounds basket over flowing.

Siberia coffee and extremely well engineered product. Ergonomics are very user friendly.

This is a good system. We did not know that there was not a heating element under the carafe, so sometimes you need to warm up your cup of coffee.
